I've had this car since 16k and for over 5 years and it's been an amazing car, the car has a clear title (no lien) which means the day you buy it is the day you have the title in your hand. The car is fully fully loaded as any bmw should be and on top of it here's the good stuff:
CF RS racing exhaust (sounds like an F1 car) Ceramic Pads K&N FULL intake Hamann CF chin spoiler Hamann CF rear deck spoiler Yolo performance chip Smoked Side markers Krystal Rear led brake lights (no fault codes $800 lights) Black front kidney grills Black side vents VIS racing CF hood (both the OEM and the CF hood are included) This car has been driven properly and well taken care of, all service done at BMW, always synthetic oil, the transmission clutch pucks have less than 20k on them, this car is clean and probably the most well maintained M5 out there. The mileage may change slightly as it is my wife's local car. This car pulls like a beast and yet is so civil to drive it almost drives itself. You will be so pleased to own this car and on top of that, you'll have more fun than you can ever imagine, it's like a four door Ferrari! |

China probing German automakers over spare parts
Sat, 26 Jul 2014The Chinese market has proven to be a boon to German luxury automakers. However, the way that the companies have allegedly been controlling their supply of spare parts has begun to draw the ire of the nation's government. According to insiders speaking to Bloomberg, officials from the country's economic planning organization have opened a probe into Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and some Japanese carmakers over claimed price inflation and limiting supply.
Specifically, the investigation centers around two aspects of how the companies do business, according to Bloomberg. Investigators want to know whether the original equipment component makers are able to sell spare parts only to automaker-authorized dealers or if they are also available to independent shops. There is also the issue of whether the price markup on replacement pieces is too high. The tight controls could be partially explained by China's reputation for producing counterfeit parts.
Evidently, the investigators haven't checked parts prices at car dealers elsewhere in the world. At least in the US, paying more at the dealer for factory components just goes along with owning a vehicle. If evidence of price fixing is found, the companies could face fines the equivalent of millions of dollars, according to Bloomberg.

BMW increases i3 price by $1,075 for 2015
Thu, Jan 29 2015The BMW i3 did well in its first year on the market, selling 6,02 units in the US and 16,052 units worldwide. For 2015, it gets total price increase of $1,075, partially reflecting new standard equipment that was formerly an option and a bump in its destination cost. The 2014 starting price of $41,350 becomes $42,400 for 2015, an extra $1,050, and the destination increase of $25 to $950 makes the out-the-door price $43,350. The range-extended model goes up by the same amount, from $45,200 last year to $46,250 this year. After destination, it's $47,200 out the door. For 2015, DC Fast Charging is included, no longer a $700 option, thanks to the expansion of the fast-charging network through a collaboration between BMW, Volkswagen and Chargepoint. Beyond that, satellite radio and heated seats migrate to the standard features list. We have a feeling none of this will hurt the plug-in car's sales momentum this year.
