2001 BMW M5 Leman Blue 134,000 original miles. super clean I purchased this Car about 4-5 years ago. I put in a new motor that had 76,000 miles about 3 years ago. I replaced all shocks, Suspension system, All bushings and control arms, I replaced all the rotors to new, Car has OK clutch to me its fine but you might need a new one. I replaced almost everything in the car I have receipts cost me over $30,000 in oem upgrades including the motor. Car has Original new paint job about 2 years ago. No scratches 1 dint on passenger rear door. This car is so clean not even a single leak you will find. The $30,000 + I had invested I will not get it back. my loss your gain. This car is so clean well taken care off. I will let go for a reasonable offer. Bilstein SHocks H&R lowering springs, New rotors, red brakes custom exhaust system Brand new headlights oem $1,500 dealer blue halo bulbs Hid fogs carbon fiber Hamann diffuser front, back and roof spoiler Brake cooling ducts in front of bumper custom painted intake box 80% tire thread left Oem 18 bmw original wheels powder coated I pad, phone, and pod dock streams thru the gps unit and charges your device. 85,000 miles now on the new motor. took new motor apart and clean fully to insure torque and power. vanos adjust, head, valve cover, oil pan gaskets seals replaced, new sparks. All bushings and control arms replaced over $5,000 ask your bmw dealership on all e39 m5 rear bushings and front on control arms must buy complete control arms. each is about 300-550 so about 3,000 in bushing arms parts and 2k labor new sub frame and bushings. new wheels bearings, new fly wheel new power steering pump just went out again. after market not oem. still under warranty new ac unit new ac compressor new fan new fan clutch new radiator everything is oem parts non after market gear bushing cookie replaced twice first was after market second oem. oem is much stronger. |

BMW expounds on i8 design and performance in new videos
Fri, 03 Jan 2014At this point, there isn't much we don't know about the 2015 BMW i8, so BMW is starting to focus its attention on reassuring consumers that the future of BMW won't abandon the past. In these two recently released videos, BMW answers questions prospective buyers might have about about the new model's design and performance.
In the design video, BMW explains how the i8's styling is intended to be practical, with aerodynamics and fuel efficiency in mind, yet still have a sporty and dynamic look. The performance video aims to show that the plug-in hybrid can be fuel efficient while still delivering plenty of performance, and it shows an animation about how the i8's drive systems work together. And every year, more ridiculous stuff shows up. It's the good kind of machine overload. It's likely the only place in the world where you'll see a line of BMW 3.0s next to some Paganis next to a Porsche 911 by Singer Design next to a Ferrari salt racer next to a custom Olds Riviera next to the latest from Koenigsegg next to he coolest stuff Shelby ever made next to a hangar filled with McLarens, including a few P1 GTRs. And then all of that is surrounded by private jets, fighters, and planes that could have flown in directly from WWII. In a word, it's insane. Is BMW ready to increase i8 production?
Fri, Nov 21 2014The BMW i8 plug-in hybrid is really fast. But the car is getting to customers really slowly. The German automaker might be doing something about that. Bimmer executive Ian Robertson, speaking with reports at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week, commented on the high demand for the super-PHEV and said the company may step up production in Germany, Automotive News Europe says. That's because the wait list for the i8 is approaching 18 months in some global markets. And Robertson would like to get that timeframe down to about six months. No details were disclosed about how fast the i8 is being produced or how much faster that production rate may get. The i8, which retails for about $135,000, started sales in Europe in June and in the US two months later. As for the smaller, slower i3 electric vehicle, BMW is making about 2,000 units a month, and wait lists are down to about four months. Part of the reason for that is because BMW shifted distribution rates for that model towards the US to meet higher-than-expected demand from stateside consumers and slow German sales. Through the end of October in the US, BMW had sold almost 4,300 i3 vehicles and 271 i8 models, including 204 i8 units last month alone.
