Bmw E30 M3 Diamondschwartz Gray Interior Excellent Condition Cold Ac Under 87k on 2040-cars
Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, United States
Here is my 1990 (Build date 10/1989) BMW E30 M3 with 86,300 Miles (by sale date might be up to 87,000)
I am selling because I miss having a convertable and I am only allowed 1 toy car (and 2 motorcycles So expect to see my BMW K1200GT for sale soon too as I rarely ride that). Car is being sold AS IS WHERE IS. There will be NO TEST Drives until the auction is over. The winner gets to test drive after full purchase price deposit. If you change your mind at that point You get your money back if it is something I did not disclose or acurately describe. If you simply change your mind at that point but I did describe it acurately I only ask for a good faith $50 for relisting fee on E-Bay. If you damage it during the test drive, you bought it. But I am not a complete idiot and I do not expect someone to buy this blind so I have provided a Virtual Test drive video and a TON of pictures most taken on 4/11/2014 including the video test drive you can view it / Download at: Enjoy even though I am not Jearmy Clarkson or anywhere close. Also I am willing to take the car to Performance Automotive in Malvern PA (They are my mechanics and have done almost all of the work on the car so they are very familiar with it) if you pay for a pre-purchase inspection. But I will insist that they give me a copy that I can share online for others to view and I will need to be notified quickly as I do work and need to arrange time to get this done. First the most important feature THIS HAS A CUP HOLDER!!!!! This rare feature in these cars makes this particular one worth at least $10K More!!!! The Good Full Resolution TONS of photos including the underside from when I had the brakes and steering rack done available at as well as a Virtual Test Drive Video: All kidding asside The cup holder is not permanant and has soft foam on the clamp to not damage the interior, but I will include it for no additional charge. Extremely well documented service history over 100+ Pages of document service history Authentic BMW OEM Carbon Fiber Wing This thing is unobtanium and I have never seen one for sale see Photo and notice german writing and BMW logo (hard to see but it is there). Multiple CarFax reports over the years and original VIN Stickers in the right locations show no accident history at all EVERYTHING Works on the car except the passenger Mirror adjustment motor (Just discovered during my video test drive). Transmission overhaul and new clutch plate assembly done by previous owner at 78.5K Miles This is about as close to an EVO II M3 as you can get Fully adjustable Konis at all 4 corners VERY COLD AC Cruise Control, Power Locks, Sunroof, Roof liner all great. Excellent Paint 9.5 out of 10 New refurbished front seats, also a new refurbished rear seat is available for less than $400 Original Wheels (Yes all 5) and Original Cassette Deck included (not on or in the car). 17" BBS wheels in excellent shape Alpine stereo with USB/IPOD support (in glove box) New Cross Drilled Slotted Disc Rotors and Pads less than 2K Miles Tires in Great shape with readings of 8/32nds all around Also includes a Never Installed or opened Keyless Entry, I hate the idea of having to use a key to lock and unloc the car but before I installed it I decided to sell the car and figured someone may want it or they may want the car to remain as original as possible. WeatherTech Floor mats for the front and a set of 4 Bavarian autosport mats for front and rear. The Not so good I choose a soft Marine Grade Vinyl for the seats and not Leather, I think they feel great and look great and based on the seats for my wife's Mini they do not crack, you can get an exact matching rear seat for just under $500 from the same people that did my seats (no core needed and I have the color code in the documentation), or you could have them recover in leather, or you can switch back to the original seats as they are included as well and you can see them in the photos The Rear seat is old and just feels rough, It looks pretty good but it is completely original so time / Sun has taken its toll. Mentioned passenger Mirror motor (I just discovered it not working while creating the virtual test drive video). Front Bumper Paint probably did not have enough flex additive so there are some minor cracks and banding Small scrapes on front bumper lower spoiler (see photos) Small scrapes on 2-3 of the 5 original wheels Tires on the original wheels crap PA Inspection just went overdue (if a PA resident buys the car I can get the inspection completed before you take delivery, it will pass including emmissions no problems) If you are out of state I will ensure you have a completely full Tank in since an inspection costs about $50 in PA. In an attempt to remove dead mouse smell from HVAC I sprayed a misting of bleach in vents and it ran out and discolored the carpet in the Driver and passenger footwells Not the brightest move... I had the system taken apart and found the rodent bastards and had them removed and the entire system cleaned when I converted the AC to R134a and the carpet could easily be re-dyed with spray carpet paint. The History: This is an extremely well documented car and in excellent shape Documentation starts with its Inspection 1 from BMW of Hawaii and includes over 100+ Pages It is now located in Glenmoore PA and I bought it 2 years ago from www.classiccargallery.com You can see their original photos here: http://classiccargallery.com/details.php?id=534&g=2 FYI this is not some crazy modded time bomb this is a very mild state of tune but provides the extra Oomph you want. Turner Motorsport Performance Chip: Adding a TMS Performance Chip gives you the biggest bang for your buck! Jim Conforti tuned these chips on the dyno to boost mid range torque and increase horsepower in the upper RPM range. While not exactly producing V8-levels of torque you will definitely like the power increase across the rev band. The best thing is that there is NO downside to installing a Turner Performance Chip. urner Motorsport has been in the BMW chip business since 1995 and all chips have been dyno-tuned to achieve optimum performance and safety. As an added feature, the top speed limiter is removed. Premium 91+ octane fuel is required.
Here is the Previous Owners sales Description at S14.net Since buying the car I have done the following work in addition to regular maintenance: Replaced the subframe bushings Sent the original Low Ratio BMW M3 Specific Steering rack for a professional rebuild It is the Right steering rack for the car and does not leak anymore: Removed dead Mice from the HVAC Converted the AC to R134a and rechaged the system (Today was 70 and it was Blowing 39 Degrees F) See Photos 4 Wheel Alignment with new steering rack Fixed Cruise Control Fixed Power Locks I am willing to end the auction early for the right price and reserve the right to do so, Make damn sure it is the right price and a non refundable $500 deposit will be required before I end the listing canceling bids. For the right Price see: And compare to what I am selling here. Otherwise I take my chances with the auction Reserve is at least $9000 less than the lowest priced M3 there as of 4/11/2014 Also have your finances in order before even bidding, Payment is due within 8 Days of auction end and due to PA laws we cannot close the transaction on a Sunday if you want to go to an auto tag place to transfer title. I have the title in hand. On Apr-12-14 at 10:15:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Questions have been raised about potential smell: If it smells then I described it wrong
buyer has the right to terminate the sale and get all of their money back. After what I spent cleaning that
thing out my mechanic would hear from me on that one and knowing him he would
not charge to redo the job. But knowing him he did a really good job so it really does
not smell. Also verified by my wife who can not only smell but also hear a
mosquito fart from 30 feet. I personally have put more than $6000 into this car and they are part of the documentation between new brakes, brake lines, steering rack, subframe bushings, Air Conditioning Conversion, AC Compressor, Front Seats, and more. Clutch plate, Shifter Bushings, Bearings, Gear box Oil, Differential Oil both with Redline synthetic, a Synchro, and the miscellaneous gaskets, rubber mounts, etc. Do not forget about the cup holder!!! |

Watch the BMW i8 get wrung out on the Ring
Thu, 24 Apr 2014Been wondering where the heck the reviews of the all-new, plug-in-hybrid BMW i8 have been? After all, the car isn't exactly new, having debuted in concept form way back in September of 2009. In August of last year, we even tested a prototype of the new supercar. Despite that, though, we still haven't gotten a crack at the actual vehicle that will be sold to the public.
Well, we're happy to tell you that we're currently testing the i8 and will have a proper review for you soon. If, however, you're just aching for some coverage of the low-slung plug-in, we have a short video of it in action around Germany's famed Nürburgring.
Despite it's three-cylinder, turbocharged gas engine, the i8 sounds pretty angry as it laps the Ring. That is, until it has a little bit of a breakdown. According to the guys that caught the car on video, it appeared the i8 had a minor brake issue, and was parked on the side of the track for a good 15 minutes, with the driver pumping the brakes. We should probably just take this as proof, then, that manufacturers are actually using the Ring for testing, and not just messing about.
2014 BMW 4 Series Coupe images leak out
Fri, 14 Jun 2013Because embargoes were apparently made to be broken, images of the 2014 BMW 4 Series coupe have leaked onto the Internet ahead of the car's official debut thanks to Car Design News' Facebook page. As you'll recall, the 4 Series is the replacement for the outgoing 3 Series coupe, its nomenclature falling in line with the rest of BMW's lineup, where coupes and convertibles will be set apart from their sedan counterparts by one number.
As we can see in the photos, the 4 Series takes a lot of its design cues from the 3 Series on which it is based, but there's a lot more in the way of attractive body sculpting, and this production model stays true to the original 4 Series Coupe Concept that we saw at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
We don't have official details to divulge just yet, but we can discern from the photos that the range-topping coupe will be the 435i model, likely powered by BMW's turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six from the 335i. There will no doubt be a 428i model with a 2.0-liter turbo-four underhood, and we expect BMW to offer its xDrive all-wheel-drive system on both models. Much like the 3 Series, a variety of trim levels will be on offer, including a top-spec M Sport trim that you can see painted in Estoril Blue here.
BMW M4 sheds some camouflage for latest test run
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Last time we saw the upcoming BMW M4 out testing, it was heavily clad with camouflage and decidedly homely looking (as most early development mules are). But in this latest set of photos, the M3 coupe successor has started to come into its own skin, and we're seeing a shape more closely akin to that of a rendering we brought you a few months back.
Unsurprisingly, the M4 coupe looks very similar to the 4 Series Concept that BMW debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. And while non-M version of the 4er will likely look a bit more sedate, these spy shots clearly show an aggressive front fascia, large wheels and the usual quad-exhaust rounding out the rear end.
Naturally, the M3 sedan will launch before this M4 coupe (and convertible), and powertrain details are still unclear as of this writing. We understand that the current M3's naturally aspirated V8 will be axed in favor of some sort of turbocharged six-cylinder engine, and we've heard plenty of rumors as to what, exactly, it might be, but we have yet to hear any official confirmation.
