For sale is my meticulously maintained and cared for 2 owner 2010 BMW E92 M3 with Space Gray Metallic exterior paint and Carbon Fiber Roof and Black Novillo leather interior with carbon fiber trim. The vehicle currently has 64,000 miles on it. This number will continue to rise as the vehicle gets driven on a weekly basis. The vehicles MSRP was $73,175 at the time of the original purchase. The vehicle is stock other than the wheels being powder coated black and a custom exhaust system being installed. Both of these were done by the pervious owner. The vehicles exterior is in good condition. There are some minor rock chips on the front bumper and hood, as well as some scrapes on the under tray and front bumper. There is also some minor curb damage on 3 of the four wheels. The vehicles interior is in excellent condition. There is a minor scratch in the drivers side rear seat. The vehicle has been maintained only by the BMW dealership. The vehicle had new brake pads and rotors changed at the 50K mark, and the most recent oil change was done at the 58K miles mark. The vehicle has brand new set of Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position tires on all four wheels. The vehicle gets a clay bar and wax treatment every 3 months, and washed nearly every week. 2014 BMW 328d ready to burn oil in just four cylinders
Thu, 28 Mar 2013Despite showing off the new 328d sedan in New Jersey yesterday, BMW though it only fair to bring the first four-cylinder diesel it will ever sell in the US to the New York Auto Show today as well. Unfortunately, the company remains vague about pertinent details like fuel economy and price, but we did hear again that the oil-burner will be capable of getting 45 miles per gallon on the highway. BMW's Oliver Ganser told AutoblogGreen, "We do not want to give out" the city or combined mpg ratings quite yet, but The New York Times got someone to estimate a fuel economy of mid-30s in the city.
The two-liter TwinPower turbocharged and direct injected engine and eight-speed automatic transmission (sorry, no manual will be available) put out 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque and should get the 328d up to 60 miles per hour in just over seven seconds. As we noted earlier, the 328d will be available with every option and trim level - like all-wheel drive - that other 3 Series models have in the US (transmission excepted) and should start at under $40,000 when it goes on sale this fall.
Officially, the 328b will be able to accept biodiesel blends up to B5 (or, just maybe B7), which is standard diesel with five (seven) percent biofuel. Read more about that and other aspects of the 328d here.
Toyota launches BMW-powered Verso in Europe
Tue, 03 Dec 2013BMW makes some sweet-revving engines, but its own vehicles aren't the only ones running BMW engines. So do the latest from Rolls-Royce and Mini, of course, as well as a handful of Peugeots and Citroëns thanks to its joint engine program with PSA. Wiesmann uses BMW engines, as did the famous McLaren F1. And now we can add one more to the list.
That would be the Toyota Verso, a Corolla-based minivan which Toyota builds in Turkey and sells in Europe and a few other markets overseas. The Verso is also now officially the first beneficiary of the partnership between Toyota and BMW as the Japanese automaker has released the MPV with BMW's 1.6-liter turbodiesel four.
The 111-horsepower engine is coupled to a Toyota transmission and joins the Verso range as the fourth (and least powerful) engine in the lineup, alongside the 122hp 2.0 diesel and the gasoline options with 1.6 liters and 160 hp and 1.8 for 180. Future collaborations between the two automakers will include fuel-cell development, a new joint sportscar platform, lightweight bodywork research and a new generation of lithium-air batteries. According to the automaker, BMW designers redeveloped the two-man bobsled from the ground up to replace a 20-year-old platform that has failed to produce Olympic gold. "BMW's process reevaluated the complete vehicle system: cowling aerodynamics and construction, chassis and steering geometries, athlete fitment and integration were all critical focal points," the automaker said in a statement. "Computer aided modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), full size wind tunnel testing, on track testing, and athlete scannings were all tools in BMW's development approach." The United States has not won a gold medal in two-man bobsled since 1936. Only time will tell if BMW's contributions will give Team USA an edge at this year's Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
