Bmw: M4 M-sport on 2040-cars
Reynolds, Illinois, United States
Selling my 2015 MSport MPerformance 335i with 12750 miles on it. The majority of the miles were highway from 2 separate trips to Orlando and to Houston. I am asking $47,000 OBO. This car was over $63,000 new and I had it listed for $50,000 previously now a $3,000 reduction! I have a third child now (mounting medical expenses) and I cant fit the family anymore so I end up just driving the minivan and it sits in the garage. The car has never been driven in winter and has always been garaged and washed regularly and I try to take it for a short drive now and then when I have time just to prevent damage from sitting in the garage. The car is in perfect condition and serviced by the BMW dealer. All MPerformance parts are factory no aftermarket mods. It is equipped with the MPPK (intake, tune etc..) and the MPerformance exhaust from factory (sounds amazing). I will attach a picture of the dealer window sticker showing the new price and all of the options it has. The interior and exterior were all treated with Zylon at the dealer so there is no need to wax for 5 years. The wheels, tires and key fobs are covered for 5 years for any damage and of course there is still 4 years of BMW factory service and warranty remaining. M Sport Package Cold Weather Package Driver Assistance Package Premium Package Technology Package Harmon Kardon Stereo (sounds incredible) M Sport Brakes M Performance Exhaust (cackles) MPPK Kit Spoiler M Performance Raw Carbon Shift Knob Black Kidney Grills M Performance Decals 19 M Performance Wheels (Staggered Sizes)

BMW ponders increase in i3 production capacity on early demand
Wed, 16 Oct 2013The 2014 BMW i3 is not slated to hit US showrooms until the second quarter of next year, but the response BMW has received for the all-electric hatchback has been positive enough that the automaker is already considering boosting production capacity. Bloomberg Businessweek reports that more than 8,000 customers have reserved an i3 so far, which is high, especially considering that BMW only planned to sell 10,000 i3s total in 2014.
Talking to BMW CFO Friedrich Eichiner, the report says that if the demand holds for the i3, BMW would increase capacity accordingly. The i3 goes on sale next month in Germany before a global roll out in the US, China and Japan, and with a starting price of $41,350, it is priced slightly higher than current small plug-in vehicles offered in the US like the Chevy Volt, Ford Focus Electric and Toyota Prius Plug-in, though features more use of advanced, lightweight materials.

Alex Zanardi back in the driver's seat with BMW
Tue, 21 Jan 2014If there's ever been an inspirational story in the pantheon of motor racing history, surely it's that of Alessandro Zanardi. The Italian driver worked his way up the motor racing ladder, making it into Formula One and winning two CART championships for Chip Ganassi Racing back before the series re-merged into IndyCars. Tragedy struck in 2001 when he lost both his legs in a crash at the Lausitzring in Germany, but rather than accept his fate, Alex pushed on. Fitted with prosthetic limbs, he learned to drive a racing car with hand controls and got back in the driver's seat.
Zanardi drove for BMW in the European Touring Car Championship and then in the World Touring Car Championship that replaced it, landing on the podium several times despite his physical disadvantage. He left racing in 2009 to train for the Paralympics, winning two gold medals in London, but Alex apparently couldn't shake the racing bug. BMW modified one of its M3 DTM racers with hand controls for him to test later that year. And now he's returning to motor racing full time.
BMW has just announced that Zanardi will be driving a Z4 GT3 in the Blancpain Sprint Series, the successor to the FIA GT Series and short-distance counterpart to the Blancpain Endurance Series. The car has been modified with the hand controls the Bavarian automaker's racing department fitted to the aforementioned M3 DTM and will be fielded by the ROAL Motorsport team with which Alex challenged for the European Touring Car Championship last decade.
