2007 BMW M Roadster - Z4 with 27,100 miles

This 2007 M Roadster features the desirable 3.2L inline 6 cylinder S54 engine which produces 330 horsepower and 262 lbs of torque with a 6 speed manual transmission.  The car has only 27,100 miles.  This is an amazing engine and transmission combo that makes a fun car to drive.  Great Titanium silver metallic paint with black nappa leather seats.  The paint is glossy and there are no dents or dings on the car (except for the small one shown near the rear bumper and one on the right rear wheel from a tire installer, which I have attached a picture).

The M Roadster is an extremely clean example with a clean CARFAX report, please e-mail if you want a copy.  Options on this M Roadster include the Premium Package (Cruise Control, Stereo RDS audio system with AM/FM CD player with Sirius radio and a 12 speaker audio system, driver and passenger door mirrors with automatic operation, automatic dimming rear view mirror), Power driver and passenger seat with driver's seat memory, keyless entry with both factory keys and owner's manuals, heated seats, Xenon headlights, BMW assist and metallic paint.  It also has the M Differential Lock with is an advanced version of a traditional limited slip differential.

I have had no issues with this M Roadster, it recently had an oil change.  It has newer Goodyear Eagle GT tires all the way around and a 3M clear bra to protect the front end of the car.  The glass is all factory with no issues with it.  No modifications have been made to the engine.  It has a clean lien free Colorado title.

BMW USA brought an estimated 3,041 M Roadsters into the US from February, 2006 until August, 2008.  Additional background information on M Roadster can be found at:  http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=23

I will cooperate with Buyers and assist with transporters if necessary or you can buy this car and drive it through Colorado to see the fall colors.  If you would like other picture of the car, please let me know.

This car is also for sale locally, the Seller reserves the right to end the auction early.

Please e-mail with any questions, at the end of the auction, the high bidder must deposit $1,000 via Paypal.com within 24 hours of the close of the auction.  The balance is due via bank wire within 3 days of the close of the auction.  All bids are legally binding, the Seller has the right to refuse bids from Buyer's with negative feedback.

The importance of Angel Eyes, Ventiports and four round taillights

Sun, 01 Sep 2013

Just the other day, we told you about how Lincoln isn't really a luxury brand, according to Ford's head design man, J Mays. His argument was that Lincoln lacked the unique DNA to differentiate it from the rest of the market, although the arrival of the MKZ is beginning to change that. Now, we have this video from Autoline Detroit, where Jim Hall, an analyst for 2953 Analytics who was quoted in yesterday's Lincoln story, explains the influence of certain styling cues and how they impact the brands.
Using BMW (Angel Eyes) and Buick (Ventiports) as examples for small, simple touches that serve to distinguish the brand's vehicles on the road, Hall then points out how changing trademark styling features, as Chevrolet has done on the new Corvette Stingray, can hurt the vehicle's public perception. Take a look at the full video below for an interesting dive into what these styling features mean to their individual brands.

BMW owners celebrate 40 years of 3 Series

Fri, May 8 2015

With a recent refresh and introduction of the 340i, BMW is continuing to evolve the 3 Series to make sure that the it can keep up in the competitive world of sport sedans. However, the company doesn't want to forgot the past 40 years of the 3 Series' history. In a new video, the brand travels the world to let owners of a few classic examples explain just what makes this model so special. While several generations get their turn in the limelight, fans of the E30 from the '80s and early '90s will find a lot to like here. BMW travels to Las Vegas, NV, to talk with a guy who specializes in restoring them, and then the company goes to Jakarta, Indonesia, to check out one that's grabbing trophies on the racetrack. A bit of advice, though: make sure to turn on the subtitles for this video because portions of it include interviews with Spanish and German owners in their native languages.

Senior VP Hildegard Wortmann says BMW's electric journey is just beginning

Fri, Mar 14 2014

Anyone who questions BMW's effort or sincerity on electrified vehicles should have a chat with Hildegard Wortmann, the German automaker's senior vice president over product management for automobiles and aftersales. I was fortunate to do just that at the Detroit North American International Auto Show earlier this year. ABG: Where might BMW go with electrified vehicles beyond your i3 urban EV and i8 high-performance hybrid sports car? "That [regulatory] train has left the station" - Hildegard Wortmann HW: I think a big advantage is that we now have two bookends: BMW i [green] and BMW M [high performance]. We can use those bookends to foster the BMW brand in total. Are electrified vehicles the answer to CAFE and European regulations? Is that the future? We don't know, but that [regulatory] train has left the station. To achieve all of these regulations worldwide, there is no way to do it without electrification. That is why the activities of BMW i are not just to launch new products. They are our build-up in competence for learning and gaining experience in electrification. We will use those learnings for the total BMW brand. Technology-wise, we now have a really good understanding of what to do, what not to do, how to work with this and how to get a lot of learnings from the infrastructure and everything that goes with it. And depending on how quickly the market takes off, we can scale it and use it across the range. We will use the competence we will have in vehicle electrification for more than just BMW i. There will be other derivatives and electrification of other products. ABG: Do you see BMW offering pure EVs with larger batteries for greater range? HW: That's a big feature of the Tesla. The question is to find the best balance [of range vs. battery size, weight and cost]. On the i3, we tried to have the right balance between how much range customers need for daily driving and how much battery we put in there. The market will show us. We have over a million kilometers driven by consumers in the Mini E and ActiveE and a fairly good understanding that those people are not driving that much. Putting a really big battery with all that weight into a car that is meant for urban mobility does not make sense. ABG: What about extended-range EVs beyond the i3's optional small range extender engine? "This whole EV movement is in its very early stages." HW: This whole EV movement is in its very early stages.
