CONDITION
I know how difficult it is to purchase a vehicle online without seeing it in person, so I want to describe every possible imperfection so there will be no surprises upon inspection or delivery.  I recently purchased a Toyota Sequoia online only to drive over three hours to see a vehicle that was incredibly misrepresented from a dealership, so I want to point out even the smallest pin point imperfection.  I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest Z4's on ebay, considering the year and it mileage.

The condition of the paint is pretty much flawless, with the exception of the lower front bumper which has small rock chips as shown in the pictures.  There is also one small rock ding on the hood and another on the driver's door; both are hardly noticeable.  The wheels are in good condition, however some of the paint is chipping as you can see from the pictures.  The interior is close to flawless.  I have conditioned and cleaned the leather seats at least once a month to protect them from the sun's rays and it definitely shows.  They are the same deep red as they were from day one.  The bolsters and bottom seats do show some very slight wear, which is to be expected.  There are no holes, rips, tears, or anything of the like in the leather; just slight wear from getting in and out.

The bottom line is that this an incredibly beautiful car, in outstanding shape, and with the extremely rare Imola Red racing seats, which turn heads everywhere. Please email, text or call with any questions at all.  I have tried to describe this BMW Z4 as accurately as possible and welcome you to come take a look at it yourself or send an agent before you buy.  I can help arrange shipping if you are out of driving range.  I can be contacted at patrickday1@gmail.com or 318-423-7614, voice and text.

Thank you for looking and please feel free to contact me with any questions.

This vehicle is being sold as is.  And without any warranty whatsoever.

A Tasty Bit Of Old School For The New School
Against the backdrop of fervent hand-wringing from brand purists, BMW is on the cusp of finally offering front-wheel-drive vehicles. While that's a shock to the constitution, many are pointing to the company's fine-handling Mini offerings as an article of faith that it can get this drivetrain paradigm shift right. That may be true, but there's an even more important lesson that Mini has taught the decision-makers in Munich: how to make real money on small cars.
Before Mini came along, BMW - along with seemingly every other premium European automaker - never really figured out how to coax big dollars out of American wallets without developing cars that had large footprints, at least those other than sports cars. While the automaker really got rolling in America on the strength of little bantamweights like the 2002, it veered away from small cars sometime in the '80s. BMW subsequently crashed and burned with the cut-and-shut 318ti built off its E36 3 Series and, good as it is, the 1 Series hasn't given the company meaty volume or profits, either. Among other brands, the Audi A3 has never rung up big numbers, and the less said about the painful sales figures of the Volvo C30, the better. But Mini has beat the odds, blazing a more affordable and evidently compelling trail. As of late, the company's Countryman softroader has been a massive hit worldwide. No surprise then that BMW has reconsidered bringing over its smallest softroader, the X1, to the US.

Motorweek remembers the Bimmers that made us all fall in love

Sat, Dec 27 2014

The enthusiast's tied-in-knots relationship with BMW makes the Bavarians one of those brands especially ripe for nostalgic flights. That's why as soon as we saw the opening shot of Motorweek's review of the 1986 BMW 325e and a 635Csi, we let out a long sigh and thought, "Ahhhhh, I remember those days..." The two red barons were the new entries for the year, the 325e offering a couple of extra doors for the first time, the 635CSi rounding up the powerplant's displacement compared to the 633CSi that preceded it. The inline six-cylinder in the current 335i sedan gets on with 300 horsepower; 28 years ago, the 325e made do with a 2.7-liter inline six offering 121 hp, taking 9.3 seconds to get to 60 miles per hour from a standstill. That's four seconds more than today. Those willing to pay $41,000 for the 635CSi got a 3.4-liter inline six with 182 hp, and Motorweek praised it as a "confident handling car that does feel big and clumsy at times." The more things change, you know... Check out the video for a reminder of how BMW got to be what it is, and to hear the most unusual use of the word "oriental" we've heard in a while. 2015 BMW M4 gets initiated into the club

Fri, 22 Aug 2014

It's easy for enthusiasts and traditionalists to give BMW a hard time these days, what with its plans to add more front-wheel drive models and seeming move away from more emotionally connected cars. However, the push for perfection that underscored its old Ultimate Driving Machine motto is still in there, especially in its M models. In fact, the first M4 recently made it to US shores, and the company thought the only appropriate way to celebrate was to introduce its new coupe to some of its high-performance forefathers.
The M4's initiation into the M car brotherhood involved bringing together no fewer than 52 classic and newer models - including four racecars and many privately owned vehicles - to an empty parking lot and letting the coupe drift and slalom around them to say hello. According to BMW, there was a combined 11,566 horsepower on hand. It takes a pretty trusting owner to stand back and watch as a brand-new vehicle slides its tail out with the rear wheels smoking within feet of their pride and joy. Stay tuned until the end where the owners and their cars get a shout out in the credits. Scroll down to read BMW's press release about it.
