I am moving out of state to the rainy Pacific North West, and am reluctantly selling my car. I've had this car for a few years, and have put 40k miles on it since purchasing it, mostly highway, as my job took me from Dayton to Cincinnati, Columbus, Troy, etc. It has 137,xxx miles on it, but I do drive it when the roads are clear. It is garaged, and I drive my 4wd when roads are bad.

The Good: Hellrot (German for Bright Red) colour, 5 speed transmission. water pump, radiator, hoses, overflow tank all replaced at 105,000 miles. Converted to electric radiator fan. Carbon Fiber intake from Turner MotorSports, K&N air filter, DINAN springs, sway bars, and strut tower bar, DINAN/Koni shocks/struts. Heated leather seats. 3.0 liter M54 motor. Power roof, power windows. Good A/C. Fast. Fun. Attracts attention. Always has run good for me. Legendary BMW performance and quality. Priced to sell, as I can't take it with me.

The Bad: Fast, Attracts attention (just ask the highway patrol officer who pulled me over)! Driver's seat has a split right under the butt (separated about 3/8" - 1/2", across the center of the seating area). Non stock wing is mounted on trunk. Valve cover gasket needs replaced ($28 part, easy fix). Split in rear window right at the top (Windows zip in, cost about $80 on eBay). Wheels could use a re-paint, there is a small dent (does not penetrate the paint) by the fuel cap, and will need new rear tires soon ($130 each on TireRack.) Car is priced accordingly.

Note: Over the summer the driver's seat was replaced with a Sparco seat, which I subsequently removed (not as comfy as I thought it would be). The original driver's seat was carefully removed, stored, and put back in place after the Sparco was sold. The Sparco seat is NOT included!

BMW M4 pitted against i8 in drag race

Germany's Auto Bild has set up a very intriguing drag race to settle not just an inter-brand rivalry within BMW but a question of the old school versus the latest tech. The BMW M4 is a leader among the traditional sports coupes with a turbocharged inline-six spinning the rear wheels, but the M has to tackle the cutting-edge i8 with its turbocharged three-cylinder augmented with electric drive. See what happens when they go head to head. Even on paper, the race looks quite close. The i8 weighs about 300 pounds less than the M4 and also slightly nudges it out on net torque at 420 pound-feet versus 406 lb-ft. Also in some shots, the pavement looks just a little bit damp here, which would benefit the i8's all-wheel drive setup. However, the M-car has a healthy horsepower advantage with 425 hp against the hybrid's 357 hp. The race commences after a short introduction. Watch and see whether the traditional tech or latest layout wins the day. Ring Taxi BMW M3 chases an Aventador SV and Cayman GT4

On paper, a BMW M3 that's loaded with three passengers probably shouldn't have a chance at keeping up around a track with a Porsche Cayman GT4 and a Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce. In the real world, driver skill and track knowledge can make all the difference, though. And when the M3 is a Nurburgring Taxi with a driver that knows the course incredibly well, we end up getting a fantastic lap like this one. The 'Ring Taxi driver starts by teasing his passengers that they'll see whether the Lambo is fast. Before the two of them get on track, the GT4 cuts in to join the party. What follows is a fascinating lap of the Nordschleife. It's impressive how the BMW driver's skill allows him to keep up with the two other cars and blow past tons of other traffic. During faster sections, the Porsche and Aventador start to pull away, but as soon as the course gets curvy again, the M3 is right back in the action. As the group pulls back into the parking lot, even the Ring Taxi driver sounds impressed with his performance. See the impressive show in the video above. Related Video:

Okay kids, here's your lesson for the day. When you go to a motorsports event (that isn't a rally), there are these things called walls. They're big and hard. There might be stacks of tires in front of them. There are also these things called barriers, catch fences and run-off areas. They exist to protect you, the spectator, when something inevitably goes wrong on the track.
If you don't have these things, you probably shouldn't be watching whatever four-wheeled mayhem is taking place. This gentleman learned that the hard way, after getting a bit too close while some hoon drifts his BMW 3 Series.
