Nice Rumbling noise (not obnoxious) when you start and drive the truck.  People are always looking around to see who’s driving and what. :) If you’re shy, this will fix this “behaviour”. New Brembo Brakes (original BMW)

HUGE PANORAMIC for Front and Back seats Sun Roof (Original BMW)

Back and front Distance Sensors (original BMW)

4 wireless headphones for rear and front seat entertainment

3 TV's (2 in read headrests, on on Multimedia System (where I have Navigation/GPS, Telephone,...)

MVD Inspection good through December, 2016 (for Arizona).

Side Notes:

I’m not in rush to sell the truck;  however, for the good buyer, I will give it away.  I have no use of 2 trucks, and I could spend the money on something else.  So let’s hope someone else like you, can enjoy it as I did.

Autocheck says the car had a minor accident.  It was just the fender in the back right of the truck.  No electronic or mechanical parts affected.  a Pole scratched the truck which was reported to insurance.  Police didn’t even had to declare this to the reporting agencies.  But - no problem.  Truck is like new. :)

DINAN features just rock, and I will not have another BMW without their options. They are indeed expensive, but reliable and dependable.

Truck is very strong - presenting itself with over 355 Hose Power at 6200 RPM. It’s Torque goes beyond 361 lbs-ft. Truck can pull anything it wants. It runs very smoothly - yet, it is still unbelievably strong.

I am open for a check up with a local independent mechanic/dealership, if you want to.  The checking fee will fall into your responsibility!

Truck is being driven at this moment, and mileage can vary based on driving needs.  I’ll try my best not to drive it too much, as I have other driving alternatives.

I do NOT charge any taxes myself.  If your US State requires you to pay taxes, it will be your responsibility to pay it yourself.

Dealership did their 80k checkup in November/December 2013.  You will not need to do anything to the truck (replace oil,...) till the truck gets 90k miles.

Again - TRUCK is at this moment in pristine condition!!!  You will just love it, Period!

Please - contact me, if you have any questions.

Mini Vision Next 100 concept invokes an alternate universe

Thu, Jun 16 2016

Sir Alec Issigonis, designer of the 1959 Mini, would probably find Mini's new Vision Next 100 concept amusing. The original Mini was largely an exercise in efficient packaging and clever engineering. That it was handsome, and became iconic, was more a product of its wild success than an intentional product of its exterior styling. While the Mini concept is undoubtedly cleverly packaged, it's almost purely a styling exercise, no matter what sort of futuristic connected/autonomous functionality Mini says it'll have. Mini doesn't seem able to move past the Mini as a caricature of itself. The heavy, floating roof, the vestigial round and friendly "headlamps", the oversized gauge pod. This seems very German, the inability to communicate essential brand attributes without using cliches. Mini is in a styling rut, trying to evolve the same basic styling language with each new generation, stretching it over larger hard points. The Vision Next 100 program would have been a great time to communicate to the public that Mini is more than just styling tropes: it's an attitude, a way of thinking, a connectedness to the driver. More than a badge or bug-eyed headlights. To its credit, the interior is massively decluttered. That's in part to the rear-engine layout, but more on that in a follow-up piece. The comparatively vast footwell and ultra-minimalist dash pair well with the giant windscreen. It feels light, airy, and authentic to the ideals of the originally Mini in terms of space efficiency, without being overly sentimental. Futurism is a thankless profession, and we can't take this concept literally as a vision of what the brand will be in 100 years. We can say this: it doesn't seem that Mini will be able to transcend the styling tropes that currently define Mini. Let's hope they find a way out of their rut. BMW shows up-armored X5 concept and we can't get near it

Wed, 11 Sep 2013

BMW has brought a slightly different concept vehicle to the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Rather than something that foreshadows a future product or a new design direction, the Munich-based manufacturer has brought an X5 that's designed to be shot at. It's called the Concept X5 Security Plus. The Concept X5 name is a bit misleading, though. It's based on the 2014 X5, while BMW already builds an armored CUV, called the X5 Security. The concept tag has to do with the "Security Plus" part.
Engineered to be compliant with VR6 security standards - the current X5 Security is for VR4 standards - the Concept X5 will quite happily shrug off direct attacks from an AK-47. Thanks to sealed joints, high-strength steel moldings, high-performance steel body panels and special, polycarbonate-coated security glass, Kalashnikov's finest, whether used as a firearm or as a melee weapon, would be useless against this X5.
Built alongside the standard X5 in BMW's Spartanburg, SC factory, the X5 is shipped to a BMW facility in Toluca, Mexico for installation of the armor and security features. The company claims this delivers a more thoroughly engineered protective solution than aftermarket retrofitting.

BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor enjoys a day in the sun

Wed, 10 Jul 2013

This BMW Concept Active Tourer has evolved for the nature and cycling set and premiered at OutDoor Friedrichshafen, a trade fair in held this month in Germany. The sturdy wagon is tweaked with new materials, accessories and ConnectedDrive features for those who do a lot of their living under the sky as opposed to inside their cars.
Under the hood is the same plug-in hybrid drive system we've were introduced to in 2012, featuring a transversely-mounted, 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and a battery pack under the rear compartment floor. Total output is 190 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque headed to the front wheels, a claimed time from zero to 62 of under eight seconds, a pure electric range of up to 19 miles, a top speed of 124 miles per hour and claimed fuel economy of around 95 US miles per gallon.
The space behind the rear seats is the showcase, with a transformable compartment that can stow two bikes on built-in, retractable carriers. Remove the front wheel and seat from the bikes, then the frames can be locked into place using two rails and brackets. The wheels can be stowed in a holder attached to the right rear seat, the saddles can go into a compartment in the load floor. If you need to make a quick adjustment or a fix, you can do so since the bikes are aligned across the load bay.
