I BOUGHT THIS CAR OFF OF EBAY EIGHT YEARS AGO AS THE SECOND OWNER. THE ORIGINAL OWNER WAS IN OHIO. THIS HAS BEEN MY WIFE'S CAR FOR MOST OF THE TIME WE HAVE OWNED IT. IF ANY SMALL THING NEEDS TO BE FIXED SHE TAKES IT TO THE BMW SHOP IN DAYTONA. THE MECHANIC THERE IS VERY GOOD AND TAKES CARE OF ANYTHING THAT IS WRONG AND ANYTHING HE THINKS MAY GO WRONG. EVERYTHING IS RUNNING AS IT SHOULD. SOME LED'S IN THE RADIO ARE OUT BUT DOES NOT AFFECT OPERATION. I DID ADD THE SIX DISK CD PLAYER. THE TIRES ARE MICHELIN WITH PLENTY OF TREAD. SERVICE RECORDS WILL BE INCLUDED. THE EXTERIOR COLOR IS A LIGHT GREEN AND THE PAINT LOOKS LIKE NEW. THE INTERIOR IS THE TAN WITH WOOD ACCENTS. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND THERE IS NO RUST. THE ONLY IMPERFECTION I KNOW OF IS A SCRAPE ON THE FRONT BUMPER FROM THE SIDE OF THE GARAGE DOOR. SEE THE PHOTOS. WE TOOK THIS CAR TO THE USVI WHEN WE MOVED THERE BECAUSE IT HAS PROVEN TO BE SUCH A GOOD CAR. WE COULD NOT GIVE IT UP SO BROUGHT IT BACK WITH US TO FLORIDA. IT HAS SPENT MOST OF ITS TIME IN A GARAGE. THERE ARE ONLY THE TWO OF US SO THE INTERIOR HAS REMAINED CLEAN AND WELL TAKEN CARE OF. A VERY NICE AND NEW CAR COVER WILL BE INCLUDED. 2014 BMW 4 Series convertible spotted
Thu, 27 Jun 2013We've seen a few spy shot packages featuring the upcoming BMW 4 Series Convertible already, but never with the car quite so naked as in this latest batch. Nabbed just outside the BMW Nürburgring workshop in Germany, this Melbourne Red 4 Series also shows the M Sport package for the first time.
With all of the cladding removed, we can see that the convertible shares the 4 Series coupe's great-looking nose and front end, though the resolution of that folding hard top into the rear bodywork remains a bit harsh.
With the 4 Series coupe now completely official, we have a pretty good idea of what the powertrain lineup for the 'vert will be. We'll be pretty surprised if a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo aren't the go-to engines at launch. Production of the droptop is likely to begin at the end of the year, so start bugging your local BMW dealer.
BMW details Concept X5 eDrive ahead of New York debut
Sun, 13 Apr 2014Already weighing more than most other types of vehicles and with the space to accommodate the extra equipment, crossovers and SUVs arguably make for one of the more ideal platforms to transform into a hybrid. And there have been a handful of them - like the Audi Q5, Infiniti QX60/Nissan Pathfinder, Porsche Cayenne/Volkswagen Touareg, Lexus RX450h/Toyota Highlander and Cadillac Escalade/Chevy Tahoe/GMC Yukon - but by and large the majority of hybrids on the market are sedans and hatchbacks. BMW, however, looks poised to join the minority with the X5.
The Bavarian automaker showcased the X5 eDrive concept at Frankfurt last year, and as promised, has now revealed the followup it will present at the New York Auto Show in just a few days. The new Concept X5 eDrive, as BMW has now revealed, pairs a 2.0-liter turbo four good for 245 horsepower to a 95-hp electric motor to deliver a combined 340 horsepower. Its lithium-ion battery can power it for up to 20 miles and at speeds up to 75 miles per hour before the gasoline engine needs to kick in. All that without sacrificing the vehicle's utility, maintaining an almost perfectly flat loading floor with 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats, and without sacrificing much on performance, either: with a 0-62 time of seven seconds flat, the X5 eDrive concept is quicker off the line than the production X5 with the 2.5-liter turbodiesel and just a tenth off of the 3.0-liter turbodiesel.
With the full technical details now released (you can delve into it all in the press release below), the only question remains when BMW will actually put the X5 eDrive into production. Given its appearance in New York, though, we gather that whenever it does reach showrooms, it'll reach American ones as well.
2015 BMW X3 arrives with tweaked styling, diesel option
Wed, 05 Feb 2014The luxury crossover market has been a huge success for BMW, having sold over a million X3 models worldwide since the CUV first went on sale in 2003, not to mention all of the momentum its had with the larger X5. At the Chicago Auto Show, BMW is unveiling the refreshed 2015 X3, featuring an improved design, a new diesel engine option, and a rear-wheel drive variant.
The X3 is getting some handsome upgrades to the exterior. The twin, circular headlights now extend to touch the slightly widened, chrome kidney grille, to bring the styling in line with the 3 Series and 4 Series. (LED headlights are now optional, as well.) The front bumper gets reshaped brake cooling ducts, and the rear bumper gets a touch of additional metal trim at the bottom. BMW has also added standard LED turn signals in the side mirrors.
BMW has enhanced the interior with added chrome trim, high-gloss black trim around the center console, sliding covers for the cup holders and new interior upholstery designs. The X3 is also getting a major boost in optional technology - there's a new Parking Assistant, as well as an Active Driving Assistant with adaptive cruise control, Lane Departure Warning, Frontal Collision Warning, Pedestrian Warning, and City Collision Mitigation.
