2004 BMW X5 3.0i
I am pleased to offer this 2 owner BMW X5 3.0i. This BMW is in immaculate condition with only a couple of minor imperfections all of which can be seen in the pictures. This BMW carries a near perfect Carfax. We also have service records from 62000 miles to current. We will make these records as well as the Carfax available on request. I will note that oil services and new brakes including rotors were performed at 96000 miles. The body condition is excellent with some faint scuffs on the rear bumper. I have tried to picture any imperfections so that you can see just how nice and original this BMW is. I might add that there is a light tint on the windows with some imperfections in the tint, none of which bother me and will assume the same for you. The interior is beautiful, soft creamy beige leather, sunroof and fold down seats that look darn near new. I do not have the front floor mats or the books. I have put a call in to the previous owner to see if he might have at least the books. A single remote key is provided. Needless to say this is a beautiful performing BMW X5 with everything working correctly. There are no mechanical issues and the tires are near new mounted on scuff free alloy wheels. One final note this X5 does have the factory CD player. As always my reserve is below market and reflects any paint touch on the bumper cover that you might have done. This vehicle is for sale and can be inspected during regular business hours. Thanks for looking.

KY bidders will add 6% usage tax and $199 transfer/doc fees. Out of state residents will add $128 to cover title fees, mailing costs, temporary tags, etc. Contact to be made by winning bidder within business 24 hours and a minimum partial payment to be made within 72 hours of auction end. The partial payment is non-refundable, unless we fail to deliver the goods as described. Balance will be due within 7 business days of the close of the auction. Any exceptions to be worked out before the completion of the sale. Auctions ending on a Friday or holiday will be addressed the follow business day. We will be happy to assist the new owner in arranging transportation from our nearby airport, Lexington Bluegrass Field, at no extra charge.

BMW is recalling roughly 570,000 vehicles in the United States and Canada due to faulty battery cable connectors that can fail, causing the engines in these cars to stall. Of the nearly 570,000 affected vehicles, just over 504,000 are here in the US.
The affected vehicles include 1 Series coupes and convertibles (both 128i and 135i) from the 2008 to 2011 model years; 3 Series sedans, coupes, convertibles and sport wagons (both 328i and 335i) from the 2007 to 2011 model years; and Z4 roadsters from the 2009 to 2011 model years.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the connector for the positive battery cable connector and the corresponding terminal on the fuse box may degrade over time," which can eventually lead to a break in the electrical connection and a loss of power in the vehicle. If the car loses power, the engine can stall, which could possibly lead to a crash. The Detroit News reports that BMW knows of one minor collision in Canada as a result of this problem, but no injuries.

Our favorite (and only) Autoblog-alum-turned-Motor Trend staffer is back with another Head to Head video, this time pitting the Cadillac ATS-V with the Mercedes-AMG C63 S. This performance machine shootout is ostensibly a way to figure out which of these new super sedans will earn the right to go toe-to-toe with the undisputed champion of its segment, the BMW M3. In reality, it's just a really good excuse to put three of the hottest sedans on the market on video at the same time... and there's certainly nothing wrong with that. Jonny Lieberman spends time in each of the two new challengers on the road, picking apart their powertrains, chassis and driving dynamics on the kinds of twisty roads drivers of these cars will relish. Then, he hands the keys off to Randy Pobst, who sort of acts as an unmasked version of a certain tame racing driver, except that he talks and has a personality. 0-60 and quarter-mile times are equated, braking performance is measured and scores are tallied before the two sport sedans end up at Willow Springs raceway. Interestingly enough, the car that proves (just slightly) faster at the race track isn't the car that wins the comparison. Curious? We're not going to spoil it for you. Check out the video, above. Despite being a well-respected outfit for decades, Alpina remains something of a mystery to many stateside BMW fans. In Europe, Alpina has established itself as a first-rate source for breathed-upon high-performance Bimmers, and it's looking to continue picking up traction on our shores. The US has received a handful of Alpina models through BMW factory channels, namely the 7-Series-based B7, and now we're getting another fast four-door with the debut of the BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe at today's 2014 New York Auto Show.
The B6 Gran Coupe stands as an interesting sibling to the factory's M6 Grand Coupe. Both are propelled by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, but the tunes are quite different. The Alpina produces 540 horsepower and 540 pound-feet of torque, which is 20 hp less than the M6, but with 40 lb-ft more torque. An eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive mean that the B6 is about half a second quicker to 60 miles per hour than BMW's own creation. Plus, the B6 has an unrestricted top speed of 198 mph, making it one seriously rapid 6 Series Gran Coupe.
The sport sedan also wears other Alpina goodies like 20-inch versions of the brand's 21-spoke wheels and exclusive color options. The B6 Gran Coupe goes for $118,225 (including destination), and will be available through BMW dealers immediately after the auto show ends. More info about the B6 is in the release below.
