2013 BMW X1 35i. Cashmere Silver on Sand Beige leather (not leatherette). This car has the upgraded venerable BMW
inline 6, which is quite hard to find. It is also fully loaded with the "ultimate package". We purchased the car
as a one-owner certified pre owned vehicle from Ottos BMW in West Chester, PA. The car has had no accidents, no
incidents, no touch ups, no paint work, absolutely nothing. The car is in as new condition, has never been smoked
in or eaten in, no tears or stains on the leather and no other interior blemishes to note.
All maintenance has been performed at Ottos BMW and Habberstad BMW (meaning all maintenance records are in the BMW
system and can be accessed by any dealer). Car has had a recent oil change and brake fluid change, as well as a
coolant change. We have all records of Habberstad servicing that we have done. Always filled with premium gas.
Tires are almost new highly rated Bridgestone Driveguard RFT with 9/32nds of tread remaining all around
We're truly sorry to see the car go. We drove all the way from Long Island to PA to get this car as the
specification was so special and rare and we really wanted the bigger engine, so we were overjoyed when we found
it. We're a family of obsessive car nuts, this X1 served as a backup practical family car to our variety of two
seater sports cars. Selling because of family changes and the need for more space.
The car had roughly a year of factory warranty remaining when we bought it, so the BMW CPO warranty actually just
started last month, giving you until 10/18/2018 of full BMW Certified Pre Owned Warranty coverage.
If you're looking for one of these, you may have noticed it's very hard to find a car equipped with many of the
niceties. Our car is fully loaded--I'll list some of the more notable options below.

2015 BMW M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe are officially revealed [w/video]

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The new 3.0-liter inline-six makes 425 turbocharged horsepower from 5500 rpm all the way up to 7300 rpm.
BMW has announced the 2015 M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe, high-performance versions of the new 3 Series and 4 Series that launched this year. The new Ms have stirred controversy in a variety of ways, but one must remember that the M cars traditionally don't follow a specific mold.

Audi tops BMW and Mercedes in luxury sales

Tue, May 12 2015

April was a good month for Audi, as the four-ring automaker beat out both Mercedes-Benz and BMW in sales. Bloomberg reports that it was America's appetite for CUVs like the Q5 and ancient Q7 that helped Audi move nearly 153,000 units around the globe. It's not all good news, though. Audi's worldwide sales only jumped by 2.5 percent, compared to BMW and Mercedes, whose sales increased 5.6 and 11 percent, respectively. On top of that, BMW is still the best-selling brand (of the three, anyway) so far in 2015, outselling Audi by roughly 9,000 units and Mercedes by about 23,000 vehicles. Considering the faster growth of its rivals, it's unclear if Audi will be able to hang onto the monthly sales crown beyond April, or if BMW will continue its reign as the world's biggest luxury automaker.

Are future vehicular hacks inevitable?

Wed, Jul 29 2015

Before the hack of the Uconnect system in a Jeep Cherokee resulted in a 1.4-million vehicle recall, the potential software vulnerabilities in vehicles were already a hot topic with Congressional inquiries and even proposed legislation in the US. As cars' interconnected systems gain the ability to go online, they become open to a host of new threats. Automakers are trying to stop this, but it might be too late to put the genie back into the bottle. Throughout 2015, the issue of software security in vehicles has become increasingly vital. For example, the recent Jeep case wasn't even the biggest hack this year. In February, a major flaw was discovered in the BMW Connected Drive service that allowed researchers to remotely lock and unlock the doors and potentially affected 2.2 million cars. The fix was an over-the-air patch for the problem. Automakers are actively working to fix the issues. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi reportedly are using encrypted connections and firewalls in their vehicles to prevent hacking. "Absolute, 100-percent safety isn't possible," Daimler spokesperson Benjamin Oberkersch said to Automotive News Europe. "But we develop our systems, tested by internal and external experts, so they're up to date." These vulnerabilities seem to be popping up more often. A successful hack took $14 in parts from Radio Shack in one case. There was also a 60 Minutes report earlier in the year about DARPA's ability to hack into OnStar to take control of a Chevrolet Impala. Experts aren't so sure companies can contend with hackers' advancement. "The difficulty for the carmakers at the moment is the question whether they can keep pace with advances in technology, and especially hacking technology," Rainer Scholz, executive director for telematics consultant EY, said to Automotive News Europe. "We seriously doubt they can." At this point, vehicle hacks are coming more from researchers looking for holes than from those with malicious intent. Still, the vulnerabilities are definitely there. It's up to automakers to keep patching the problems before they become dangerous to drivers.
