You are bidding on a red unmolested original EURO 1985 BMW 6 series M635 csi.  I purchased the vehicle in July 2010 to add to my car collection.  It was an Arizona car with 145,743 miles on it.  It now has 145,783 on the odometer.  The car has been garaged and seldom driven.  It is absolutely spectacular as a un-molested example of a rare 1985 BMW M635 csi.  Being an Arizona car, it is totally rust free.which makes it a very desirable.vehicle. However, there are some cracks on the dash from the sun.  Previous owner was a lady who purchased the car from the importer  and was responsibly driven...The car was pampered and garaged.  I will be 65 this summer and have lower back issues which made driving this car hard to drive for me physically, but I purchased it for the sake of owning it more than driving it. When I was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany back in the 80's, Heidelberg BMW had one exactly like it that rotated on the showroom floor and after seeing it I promised myself that one day, if I'm lucky enough, to own one just like it....but the price would have to come down.  That M635 had a price-tag of 87,000DM! That being said, it drives beautifully and has no  issues. I hate to sell it but age and physical limitations are forcing me to down-size in all areas...which include my car collection. This is a super-sports car.  I was lucky enough to have had the privilege of driving on the Autobahn in Germany with my cars and the power, speed, safety, comfort and control at high speeds is truly remarkable!  This is a car whose engine is based on an aircraft engine and will run 160 mph plus all day long!!!  I would like to see this car go to someone that is a collector and as addition to their collection as it is pristine. The European M635 csi cars are rare and more valuable than a non euro version. Please do not bid on this vehicle if you are not a serious buyer! Thanks for your interest and if you have questions, please ask them.  Pickup and Shipping is the buyers responsibility.

BMW bringing 9 Series concept to Beijing

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

It appears that BMW is ready to take another step upmarket with a new concept flagship luxury sedan at the Beijing Motor Show at the end of April. The showcar is said to preview the company's rumored 9 Series, a sedan that would be positioned against top trims of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, like the rumored S600 Maybach.
According to Automotive News Europe, the concept sedan wears styling language adapted from the curvaceous BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe (pictured above) shown at the 2013 Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance in May. It rides on BMW's new, modular platform - codenamed G11 - for the company's largest cars, an architecture also expected to be shared with the next 7 Series and future Rolls-Royce vehicles. It's rumored to bring the weight of the 7 closer to the 5 Series, which would be several hundred pounds lighter when comparing the base models of both current vehicles. We spotted the next-gen 7 Series testing over a year ago, and both it and the 9 Series are expected to go on sale in 2016.
Unfortunately, at the moment there is no official information about the concept. "We don't have any official news yet on anything in Beijing," Julian Arguelles, BMW USA spokesperson, tells Autoblog. However, it's heartening to think that BMW might be adapting the gorgeous shape of the Gran Lusso for production.

4 automakers agree to $553M settlement of Takata airbag claims

Thu, May 18 2017

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Four automakers agreed to a $553 million settlement to address class-action economic loss claims covering owners of nearly 16 million vehicles with potentially defective Takata airbag inflators, according to court documents filed on Thursday. Toyota's share of the settlement costs is $278.5 million, followed by BMW at $131 million, Mazda at $76 million and Subaru at $68 million. According to a press release from Plaintiffs' Committee for Takata Airbag Product Liability Litigation, the funds for the settlement are aimed at getting more cars with faulty airbags fixed. At the time of writing, Toyota had the greatest recall completion percentage of 31.89 percent followed by Subaru with 31.37 percent. Mazda has completed repairs on 18.16 percent of affected cars, and BMW brings up the rear with 16.48 percent completion. Some settlement funds will go to an outreach campaign to increase awareness, while other funds will be used to reimburse people for any costs accrued to get their cars fixed. These costs can include rental cars, child care, lost wages, or any other reasonable costs associated with bringing in a vehicle for repairs. Furthermore, a customer support program will be funded with settlement money to handle any additional repairs or adjustments that could become necessary in the 75,000 miles following the airbag replacement. Lawsuits against Honda, Ford and Nissan have not been settled, lawyers said. Takata inflators, which can explode with excessive force and unleash metal shrapnel inside cars and trucks, are blamed for at least 16 deaths and more than 180 injuries worldwide. The safety defect has prompted recalls worldwide of about 100 million inflators by more than a dozen major automakers. Forget about greenlighting it, BMW is already testing the M2

Thu, 08 May 2014

One week ago, we reported, with some skepticism, that BMW had greenlit a car we've been waiting for since the 1 Series M Coupe was discontinued - the M2. Now, we have the first images of that new hotshot underoing testing in Germany.
What's our reasoning here? After all, this just looks like an M235i. Well, that camo is disguising swollen fenders designed to conceal wider tires. Now, these aren't production changes, and it's very likely that the eventual M2's fenders will look quite a bit different. According to our spy, the front fenders have been borrowed from the M235i Racing, while the rears are from an unknown source.
Our spies are also quick to point out a few other high-performance items on this mule. The cross-drilled brakes and blue M calipers are one such item, although we aren't sure how much they differ from the optional stoppers on the production M235i. The black wheels are borrowed from the M3 and M4, and are shod in what look like a sticky set of Michelin tires.
