2007 Alpine White/black Bmw M6 - Premium Package - Carbon Fiber Trim - Modified on 2040-cars
Chester, Maryland, United States
I am looking to sell my 2007 Alpine White BMW M6. This vehicle was a dream car of mine and I recently just found out that my place of employment is closing down soon so I have to start selling the vehicles I have. My wife and I have only had the vehicle for not even 2 weeks, it was very unexpected but we also have a son we that is why we are selling it. We purchased the vehicle from a local private owner who was very particular about his car and it shows when you see the car in person. The Exterior/Interior are in very good condition for a 2007. The vehicle currently has about 42,500 miles on it which is pretty low for the year. The previous owner had told me that the vehicle has only seen rain twice since he owned it and the reason that he was selling it was because he never has time to drive it. When I purchased the car from him and saw how great it looked I wanted to keep the car in the same exact condition as he had it in, if not better. Since my wife and I have had the car, we only drive it on days that it is nice outside. We don't drive the car or leave it outside if the weather is inclement at all. The car is in very good condition and has very low miles for a 2007. The previous owner who I purchased it from had the SMG clutch replaced right before I bought it. You really have to see and drive the car in person to appreciate it. I LOVE the color combination on the car and it is hard to find this exact color combo M6.
THE GOOD: The car is very clean, inside and out No major mechanical problems Car runs very good Previous Owner was very particular with his car Car has only seen rain 3 times Previous Owner Garage Kept the car as well as we do SMG Clutch was replaced recently THE BAD: TPMS Light is on (Only because the DPE's does not have TPMS (You can either take them from the stock wheels or buy a new set - not very pricey) Check Engine Light is on - Throws the code P2270 - 02 Sensor Signal Stuck Lean Bank 1 - (02 Sensors are pretty inexpensive) Listed below are the specs about the car and a list of the modifications. If you have any additional questions about the car, you can reach me directly on my cell, 410-585-7652 (call/text) or email me at JonathanVKhlok@Gmail.com Year: 2007 Make: BMW Model: M6 - Premium Package Transmission: SMG Engine: 5.0L V10 Exterior: Alpine White/Carbon Fiber Roof Interior: Black Leather/ Carbon Fiber - Leather Wrapped Dash - Black Alcantara Pillars and Headliner Mileage: 42,580 Owners: I am the 3rd CarFax: Clean - NO ACCIDENTS Modifications: Carbon Fiber Front Lip Carbon Fiber Kidney Grille Carbon Fiber Roof Wing Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers Black Housing Headlights Rear Lip Wing Professionally Painted OEM 19" M6 Wheels in Gloss Black (Staggered 19x8F, 19x10.5R DPE SP16 Wheels w/ Tires and H&R Wheel Spacers will be an additional Cost, Message me for details) H&R Lowering Springs Upgraded Halo LED Bulbs Hyper White Tag Light Bulbs Custom Exhaust Built by local shop ELITE (w/ Catalytic Converters) |

BMW 2 Series to wear 230i, M240i nameplates
Wed, 19 Nov 2014BMW might not be done tweaking its naming scheme quite yet. Of course, at this point, the jumble of numbers on the back of the Bavarian models has no connection to what's under the hood. So there's not much reason to stop changing the monikers now.
As Autoblog reported a few months ago, BMW is slotting upgraded, turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines called the B48 and B58, respectively, into the 3 and 4 Series. If this happens, the 328i/428i would become the 330i/430i, and the 335i/435i would turn into the 340i/440i.
Obviously, this change hasn't happened yet, but the same member of 2Addicts, a portion of the larger Bimmerpost community has now claimed that the 228i and M235i would get the same treatment. They would become the 230i and M240i, respectively, with the new engines.
Jay Leno puts focus on some retro-inspired BMW bikes
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Jay Leno puts eight wheels on display this week for Jay Leno's Garage from a quartet of retro-inspired BMW motorcycles. They are the creations of husband and wife team Larry and Carol Romestant, who build each one in their home garage.
Larry is a former aerospace engineer who loves BMW bikes, especially the K models. Now, he's combining his passion with a real talent for fabrication to build his own cycles with his wife. With Larry and Carol the only ones working on these projects, it takes them six to nine months to build each one. In addition to the old-school looks, the motorcycles are supposed to be a bit more user friendly than stock. For example, one of them ditches the standard five-speed gearbox in favor of a six-speed unit to be a little more comfy when cruising at high speeds.
Since there isn't enough time to take all four of them for a ride, Jay picks his favorite to test out on the open road. Scroll down to see which one he chooses.
Motorweek remembers the Bimmers that made us all fall in love
Sat, Dec 27 2014The enthusiast's tied-in-knots relationship with BMW makes the Bavarians one of those brands especially ripe for nostalgic flights. That's why as soon as we saw the opening shot of Motorweek's review of the 1986 BMW 325e and a 635Csi, we let out a long sigh and thought, "Ahhhhh, I remember those days..." The two red barons were the new entries for the year, the 325e offering a couple of extra doors for the first time, the 635CSi rounding up the powerplant's displacement compared to the 633CSi that preceded it. The inline six-cylinder in the current 335i sedan gets on with 300 horsepower; 28 years ago, the 325e made do with a 2.7-liter inline six offering 121 hp, taking 9.3 seconds to get to 60 miles per hour from a standstill. That's four seconds more than today. Those willing to pay $41,000 for the 635CSi got a 3.4-liter inline six with 182 hp, and Motorweek praised it as a "confident handling car that does feel big and clumsy at times." The more things change, you know... Check out the video for a reminder of how BMW got to be what it is, and to hear the most unusual use of the word "oriental" we've heard in a while.
