If you have any questions or would like to view the car in person please email me at: myrtambbelko@ukdealers.com . This BMW M5 with Competition Package is in absolutely beautiful condition and has only a little more than 6000
miles. This M5 has an "R" title. The car was involved in a relatively minor accident, but because this was a new
model at the time, parts weren't available for it and the insurance company had to replace the car instead of
making the owner wait until parts became available. Again, this vehicle is in absolutely beautiful condition.
The M5 features a high-performance version of the 5-series' 4.4L twin-turbo engine. It utilizes direct injection
and BMW's Valvetronic system, which can vary intake valve lift to both save fuel and aid responsiveness.
Base Horsepower on the M5 is rated at 560, but this is the Competition model and it is rated at 575 Horsepower. In
addition to the extra power the Competition Package offers, it also sports an extensively tuned chassis set-up. It
gets new coil springs and damper calibrations and stiffened anti-sway bars that lowers the car’s ride by 10 mm
and Adaptive LED Headlights.
A single Driving Dynamics Control selector lets the driver click between Comfort, Normal, Sport and Sport+ modes
that coordinate throttle and transmission response, steering boost, stability-control intervention and the Dynamic
Damping Control suspension.
The Competition package also has unique 20-inch M light-alloy wheels, a sport exhaust system featuring M quad
tailpipes finished in Black Chrome and re-mapped M Dynamic Mode (MDM) of DSC (Dynamic Stability Control).
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

BMW says yes to 1 Series M successor, no to M6 Gran Coupe with xDrive

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

If you're anything like us, the first half of that headline made you smile. The BMW 1 Series M Coupe was, without a doubt, one of our favorite cars from the past few years, and according to a BMW Blog interview, Dr. Friedrich Nitschke, head of the company's M division, has confirmed that a successor is in the works.
"We haven't made a decision yet, but the 1M coupe was so successful, that in my opinion, I am absolutely sure we will build a successor," Nitschke told BMW Blog. Currently, BMW only offers the M135i version of the new 1 Series hatch in Europe, which Nitschke says is "not a pure M car."
Moving elsewhere in the M range, BMW Blog asked about the M6 Gran Coupe that recently debuted at this year's Detroit Auto Show. The obvious competitors for this car will be higher-power versions of the Porsche Panamera and Audi RS7, but while both of those offer all-wheel drive, the M6 only sends power to its rear wheels.

BMW i8 pitted against M4 in sibling rivalry track battle

Wed, Jan 7 2015

We recently watched Auto Bild challenge the BMW i8 against the M4 in a German drag race of decide the quicker of the inter-brand rivals. The hybrid took a commanding victory in that fight. However, Autocar now has a new battle for the two coupes. The siblings are together again on the Castle Combe Circuit to find out which of them offers the more enjoyable experience at the track. Unfortunately, we don't ever get a perfect point of comparison in the video because host Steve Sutcliffe never does a full lap in anger with either of them to set a time. Instead, he focuses more on how the BMWs feel behind the wheel. Sutcliffe also admits midway through the clip that the i8's electric motor is out of juice to power the front axle's electric motor. That only leaves the hybrid with its 228-horsepower and 236-pound-feet-of-torque turbocharged three-cylinder to spin the rear wheels. Still, Sutcliffe spends ample time explaining the benefits and downfalls of driving these coupes. See where his opinion falls between the M4 as the traditional German sports coupe and the i8 as the new-school hybrid in the video, above.

Auto execs surveyed say VW, BMW most likely to grow

Thu, 17 Jan 2013

A new survey of top global automotive executives indicates both Volkswagen and BMW are the most likely to grow their market share over the next five years.
Tax advisory firm KPMG LLP has released its 14th annual Global Automotive Executive Survey, which includes responses from over 200 executives. A total of 81 percent of respondents said they expect to see Volkswagen make gains, compared to 70 percent last year. BMW, meanwhile, saw 70 percent of those surveyed say they believe the company will increase its market share. That's a jump of 7 percentage points over last year. This is the first time in the history of the survey that BMW has claimed the second-place spot.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has seen its perceived market share potential slacken for the third year in a row. Around 61 percent of those surveyed predicted gains for Hyundai, down from 63 in 2012. Toyota also has a surprising year, but for just the opposite reason. While the manufacturer had slipped in ranking since 2011, it enjoyed the largest increase of any company in the 2013 survey, jumping to 68 percent from 44 percent last year.
