2008 Bmw M5 E60, Fully Loaded, Clean Carfax, No Accidents, New Clutch on 2040-cars
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
NEW CLUTCH, NEW TIRES, NEW BATTERY, CLEAN CARFAX.
I've kept this car extremely well maintained and in a garage always. It has a brand new battery, tires, cabin air filters, just had the oil changed. I've also recently put in a new clutch (less than 1.5k miles on it), replaced the control arms (suspension), put in new SMG pump motor (relay, temperature and pressure sensors), new DSC. I have records for all this. It is running beautifully. I can transfer you my extended warranty (extra fee). It covers practically everything on the car and has no deductible. It still has 14k miles/11 months left on it. I got a good deal on it because I'm a military veteran. Over $14k of additional options. Highlights:Soft Close Automatic Doors,Power Rear Sun Shade/Manual Rear Side, Seat Ventilation: Driver and passenger, heat and A/C,Multifunction Seats with active width,Wood Trim Walnut Madeira, High Beam Assistant, Heads-up Display, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, iPod and USB Adapter, Full Perforated Merino Leather with Alco, PREMIUM SOUND. The car is 100% factory, only exception is K&N high performance air filters. WIth a 500hp V10 engine, there's not a lot you need to do! It has some minor rock chips on the front bumper and minor scratches, but nothing noticeable. Previous owner dinged the rear rims but normal for a used car. The engine purrs and it is sheer joy to drive. It is an immensely powerful car. I recently had it fully detailed. |

BMW recalls diesel X5 models over fuel filter heater
Mon, 19 Aug 2013
BMW has announced that it is recalling 1,540 examples of its 2009 and 2010 X5 xDrive35d crossovers produced between June 13, 2009 and November 9, 2009.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the model's fuel filter heater, which warms up the diesel fuel at low outside temperatures, can experience an electrical overload condition that may cause it to become permanently activated. This means the fuel filter heater could remain activated even when the ignition is off, which could lead to a dead battery. It could also lead to overheating, possibly resulting in a fire.
BMW i8 headed to Frankfurt
Mon, 05 Aug 2013According to Edmunds, BMW will reveal its production i8 hybrid sports car at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The i8 is the second vehicle to come from the automaker's new "i" initiative, following the debut of the smaller i3 hatchback last month.
The BMW i8 makes its debut nearly four years after the original Vision EfficientDynamics concept bowed at the Frankfurt expo in 2009. The production car is expected to use a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that drives the rear wheels, coupled to an electric motor that drives the front wheels. Combined output is said to be something like 393 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, based on our earlier reports. The i8 is also expected to be very light, with curb weight coming in somewhere around 3,125 pounds. Finally, the i8 is said to have a pure electric range of 20 miles, and should be able to hit 62 miles per hour in just under five seconds.
Other publications had the chance to ride along in the i8 (in prototype form) and came away impressed. We're hoping we'll feel the same when the car officially goes on sale sometime in early 2014. Stay tuned for more at the i8's official unveiling in just a few weeks.
Recharge Wrap-up: Reverse graffiti powered by Nissan Leaf; BMW introduces Wallbox Pro
Mon, Sep 29 2014BMW has a new, faster version of the Wallbox home EV charger. The Wallbox Pro offers 7.4 kilowatts, and can charge the BMW i3 to 80 percent in under three hours. It features a seven-inch touchscreen and proximity sensor, plus an 11.5-foot cord. The Wallbox Pro can also be used with smart home systems such as lighting and heating. The Wallbox Pro is available in Europe, and will come to the US later in the year. Read more at Hybrid Cars. Nissan is using the Leaf to power the creation of "reverse graffiti" in London. The company has commissioned artist Moose to selectively wash dirt off of a wall outside of a subway station, leaving behind a mural of London landmarks. Moose used a jet washer powered by the Leaf's battery to create the piece. The goal is to highlight the amount of pollution in London and other large cities, which is not a new idea. "It is a reminder that electric vehicles don't have an exhaust to emit the kind of air pollution which has stained the wall Moose has created his piece on," says Nissan's Jean-Pierre Diernaz. See the artwork in the gallery, and read more in the press release below. Local Motors used a 3D printer to make the Strati electric car in 44 hours. The car was printed with 212 layers of carbon-reinforced ABS thermoplastic. After printing, the team then spent two days finishing the car to make it run. It is powered by the drivetrain from a Renault Twizy, and is capable of 40 miles per hour. Now the question is if this sort of small-scale car manufacturing using 3D printing technology will catch on. See how a car gets printed in the time-lapse video below, and read more over at Treehugger. Nissan commissioned Reverse Graffiti artist Moose – the founder of his field – to create the mass-scale mural, which was unveiled today. Unlike traditional graffiti, Moose creates his art by cleaning dirt off surfaces using a jet washer or wire brush, leaving a striking design in negative on the wall.
