One of the M5's claims to fame rests under the hood. A 5.0L DOHC 40 valve V10 engine with 500 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, all controlled through an SMG transmission. The latter can especially happen when you press the M button on the steering wheel- pushing your car's horsepower and performance to the limit! Despite all that ability your BMW still gets 18 highway MPG! Xenon headlights with dynamic auto leveling outfit the front of the car to help you see no matter the weather. The interior is outfitted in clean Black Merino Leather upholstery that are both air conditioned and heated and complemented by the preferable brushed aluminum trim. The M-design instrumentation is spectacular and unique. You'll notice several of the M specifics such as two-tone stitching in the steering wheel. The interior is fresh and very clean with no foul odors or smoke smells. The 16-way power front seats feel comfortable with four-way lumbar support and thigh support. They are also active seats that will automatically adjust their width at the intensity you choose and based on your speed while taking corners. The seats will hug you to keep you secure. BMW launches new M Performance accessories for M5, M6
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Those looking to make their stock BMW look like an M model might be interested in an M Sport package. But those who already drive an M model and want that extra bit of attitude to take it over the top look towards the M Performance Accessories catalog, to which BMW has just added a new range of add-ons for the M5 and M6.
The new range of accessories include a titanium exhaust from Akrapovic that's 22 pounds lighter and an extra bit throatier than the stock unit. BMW's also offering a carbon-ceramic brake kit and 20-inch alloys to accommodate them, as well as a carbon aero kit, carbon interior trim and those trademark stripes for the truly extroverted BMW performance enthusiast.

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is ready for your favorite roads
Mon, 14 Jan 2013We've known about the ins and outs of the lovely BMW M6 Gran Coupe for a while now, but that doesn't mean we weren't happy to see the thing in the metal for the first time, here in Detroit.
The M-tuned Gran Coupe utilizes the same 4.4-liter forced-induction V8 that powers both the BMW M6 and the M5, with an output of 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The fast four-door brings up 60 miles per hour in just 4.1-seconds - the same sprint time as the M6 coupe and a few tenths quicker than the M5 - and up to a limited top speed of 155 mph.
We love those performance figures - this is one new Bimmer that we're amped to get some seat time in - though we're not super crazy about the selection of chrome wheels on this particular show car. Tells us what you think about the hotted up Gran Coupe in comments, below.
Translogic 182: CXC Motion Pro II Racing Simulator
Thu, Aug 13 2015Translogic gets some seat time in the CXC Motion Pro II to test if the high fidelity racing simulator can impact our host's real-life track times. Host Jonathon Buckley hits the track at Auto Club Speedway of California in a 2015 BMW M4 to put down a baseline lap time before his virtual training session in the Motion Pro II. After learning the lines of the track in a simulated setting, Jonathon returns to the track to put his skills to the test. "We designed it, originally, as a professional training tool for race car drivers," says CXC Simulation's founder and president Chris Considine. "Make it authentic. Make it real."
