Background - This is a very well cared for adult owned vehicle, we have been the 3rd owners. We are selling the vehicle in pursuit of a truck.- This is a distinctive and spacious sedan with spirited design. Please review pictures and inquire with questions (only serious inquiries please). Clear title in hand. Condition - All four tires replaced spring of 2014, lots of tread remaining. - Do note, there is a minor door ding on the driver side rear wheel fender; it is hard to see without close inspection and there was no damage to paint: Paint remains shiny: looks new! Car was always kept meticulously clean by my wife and it shows. - Also note, I was informed when purchasing that the original owner did hit a small animal and entire front bumper was replaced by an approved BMW repair facility - Interior is clean: no rips or tears in leather. All M5 floor mats and trunk mat present and accounted for Maintenance - Vehicle has been well maintained and dependable; no issues to date. All service records intact. **Do note, Vanos was replaced (these are known to have issues around the ~60k mark, so you should be good for a while now). - All maintenance requirements have been maintained for this car - According to vehicle computer, next major maintenance should be the brakes in 8000 miles Warranty - When purchased, I had added warranty coverage to the vehicle to cover engine, transmission and drivetrain. BMW M4 pitted against i8 in drag race
Fri, Jan 2 2015Germany's Auto Bild has set up a very intriguing drag race to settle not just an inter-brand rivalry within BMW but a question of the old school versus the latest tech. The BMW M4 is a leader among the traditional sports coupes with a turbocharged inline-six spinning the rear wheels, but the M has to tackle the cutting-edge i8 with its turbocharged three-cylinder augmented with electric drive. See what happens when they go head to head. Even on paper, the race looks quite close. The i8 weighs about 300 pounds less than the M4 and also slightly nudges it out on net torque at 420 pound-feet versus 406 lb-ft. Also in some shots, the pavement looks just a little bit damp here, which would benefit the i8's all-wheel drive setup. However, the M-car has a healthy horsepower advantage with 425 hp against the hybrid's 357 hp. The race commences after a short introduction. Watch and see whether the traditional tech or latest layout wins the day. Toyota sells off Tesla shares, too
Fri, 24 Oct 2014The incredible rise of Tesla's stock price has done little to now stop two major shareholders from ditching their stake in the American EV manufacturer. First, Daimler, parent company of Mercedes-Benz, ditched its four-percent stake, and less than a week later, Toyota is doing the same thing, selling off an undisclosed bit of its Tesla investment.
The move comes as Toyota winds down sales of the RAV4 EV, which gets its batteries and electric motor from Tesla at the company's Fremont, CA factory.
"We have a good relationship with Tesla, and will evaluate the feasibility of working together on future projects," Toyota spokesperson Kayo Doi told Bloomberg via email.
