2002 Bmw M5 on 2040-cars
Valdosta, Georgia, United States
Contact David at 775-217-3071 with serious inquiries/questions. Exterior: 9.4/10. Flawless shiny paint with one tiny rock chip on the lower front spoiler. The color is gorgeous. The only thing to note is a small indentation (about the size of a dime) above the front right wheel arch. It was most likely caused when someone leaned up on the car. It is virtually unnoticeable unless you are really looking for it but I am picky and want you to know about it. There are two //M license plate covers that accent the car nicely. Wheels/Tires: 8/10. The wheels are all scuff free and look excellent when cleaned up. The tires have about 80% tread life remaining. The only "other" is that the back right tire was replaced with a spare tire I had laying around this week after I sustained a non repairable flat last week. There is also a set of brand new //M stem caps on all wheels. Interior: 9.8/10. If you didn't know this was a 2002 you would probably think the car was new. I mean it is really in that great of condition. Not a single rip/tear/run/wear mark on any of the seats. The headliner is perfect and every light/knob/switch/button on the car works as it should. Interior Consoles & Other Items: 9/10. My rating is a bit harsh but like I said I am picky. The FM receiver on the radio has stopped working--meaning that FM stations can not be listened to. That being said AM works as well as the CD player. Other than that small issue the car is in perfect working order. There are no pixelated or burnt out lights on the dash (a common issue for this model). The are no check engine lights and every gauge/dial works as it should. Engine: 9.5/10. Simply put, it's about as perfect as you can get for a used non concourse vehicle. The motor is in excellent mechanical condition with absolutely no known issues. There is also a very nice cold air intake installed. Others: The car has an awesome custom exhaust that makes a beautiful sound when started and of course when you cruise along. I have both keys, owners manuals, service records, as well as some free parts that I will throw in to include: brand new spark plugs, serpentine belt, custom car cover and a custom bra. Overall Rating: 9.5/10. The car is practically perfect. It needs nothing. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I have purchased 8 cars sight unseen (including this one) through eBay and other sights so I understand the types of questions you may have or want to ask me about the car. I am happy to work with any serious buyer and make them feel completely at ease with this purchase. Additionally I am happy to help you ship this car to anywhere that you need it to go. Title in hand. Contact David at 775-217-3071 with serious inquiries/questions. |

Toyota passes BMW as most valuable car brand
Tue, 21 May 2013An annual market study of the strongest brands across various industries has seen Toyota leapfrog BMW as the world's most valuable automotive brand. Toyota's 2013 brand value rose to $24.5 billion, up 12 percent versus 2012 numbers according to market research company Millward Brown's BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list. BMW's value fell slightly; down by 2 percent to a total of $24 billion.
Mercedes-Benz finished in third place in the automotive category, up 11 percent from 2012 for a valuation of $18 billion. Honda ($12.4 billion, down 2 percent) and Nissan ($10.2 billion, up 3 percent) rounded out the top five for the category. Volkswagen was the only other auto brand that finished in the top 100 overall, in 100th place. Audi made the greatest percentage gain over 2012, up 18 percent to $5.5 billion, but finished outside of the top 100.
Technology companies dominated the overall list, with Apple, Google and IBM ranking one through three. Couture brand Prada was 2013's biggest gainer, rising by 63 percent over 2012.
This is the final BMW M3 Coupe
Fri, 05 Jul 2013Pour some out for the BMW M3 Coupe, folks. Production of the two-door, fixed-roof M3 has officially ended, and the orange car you see here is the very last one.
But we don't just meant the last M3 Coupe of this generation - this is the last M3 Coupe ever, since the next-gen car will launch under the name M4, staying true to BMW's revised nomenclature where coupes and convertibles will use even numbers. (Don't forget, the new 3 Series coupe becomes the 4 Series for the 2014 model year.) There will, of course, be a new M3, but that badge will only be found on the four-door version.
BMW first launched the M3 Coupe in 1986, and since then, more than 40,000 examples have been built. Sedan and convertible versions were added later in the car's life, and BMW says that the current 2013 model year convertible will remain in production until September of this year.
BMW reveals full details on M235i Racing
Tue, 17 Dec 2013We were suitably excited when BMW first announced the imminent arrival of the M235i Racing. After all, what's not to like about a factory-prepared racecar with 333 horsepower you can pick up for just eighty grand? Now BMW has released the full details on the latest addition to its racing portfolio, where it joins the M3 DTM, M3 GT4, Z4 GTE/GT3 and 320 TC in a growing family of competition machinery prepared by BMW Motorsport.
Based on the new 2 Series coupe, the M235i Racing is the first M Performance model for the track, and boasts the line's most powerful engine: the 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight six has been optimized to 333 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. A mechanical limited-slip differential helps transfer the power to the track surface, along with race-tuned ABS, DSC and traction control.
Four-pot calipers up front and two-pot calipers in the rear shave off speed for the corner and are packed inside the 18-inch alloys, with KW dampers and H&R suspension components. Inside there's a six-point racing harness and Recaro bucket surrounded by an FIA-certified roll cage, and customers can even have an extra seat installed to take passengers for ride-alongs. All of which can be yours for €59,500.00 - equivalent to $82k at today's rates, before taxes.
