For sale is my stunning 2002 BMW M5 E39. The car is absolutely flawless, pristine, and showroom condition and in a
very unique and rare color (carbon black by BMW code, which is actually extremely dark metallic blue). I would rate
this car 9.5/10. This is by far one of the best quality examples of M5 out there. I am a BMW enthusiast and have
taken great care of this car. It was serviced at a BMW dealership and I have all the service records. No expense
has been spared and I took absolutely the best care of it. Maintenance was performed regularly and all service
records from BMW dealership available.
This BMW is for the true enthusiast collector. It is considered perhaps the best M5 ever made given its timeless
design, absolutely immense power and speed (in 2000 this M5 was the fastest 4-door car in the world), a silky
smooth naturally aspirated V8 and of course, the only gearbox available on this car – a true 6-speed manual
transmission. This is 2002 so it has all the updates such as angel eyes and other things that were not available on
a 2000 version. This car is also fully loaded with custom original options such as extra soft leather seats and
leather stitched dashboard (see pictures attached…most other E39 M5s have plastic dashboards, not wrapped in
leather like this one). The car is also fitted with suede roofline, a CD changer and even a cassette player.
I won’t spend much time about the mechanical portion as it is truly 10/10. The car needs absolutely no work and
last had its checkup a few weeks ago (I put brand new disk brake rotors and brake pads in the front). The car is
also fitted with nearly brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sports tires, undoubtedly the best tire on the market today
(standard option for new Ferraris and Porsches and was actually designed specifically for Ferrari 458 Italia).
Engine works flawlessly, transmission and gearbox works perfectly and like brand new.
Interior-wise, there is also not much to say as it is nearly perfect for its age. No rips, tears, scratches, or
anything of that sort.

Preserving automotive history costs big bucks

$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.
Mini JCW Paceman vs. BMW M135i in family faceoff
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Over the last year, we've had the chance to drive two of the most exciting hatchbacks in the BMW family - the BMW M135i and the Mini Paceman John Cooper Works - but Autocar has managed to get the two corporate cousins together for a head-to-head comparison. Just like our initial impressions of the Paceman JCW, Autocar has little to complain about this new 215-horsepower hatchback... until it begins to factor in the faster, better-mannered and similarly priced M135i.
Despite laying down an extra 100 hp and delivering a 0-60 time that is almost two seconds quicker, the M135i carries the same price tag of 29,535 pounds in the UK; US pricing for the Paceman starts at $36,200, while it still isn't even clear if the US will be getting the M135i. Even more surprising is the fact that the Paceman falls short of the M135i in regards to rear seat and cargo volume, and just barely squeaks out a win in the fuel economy department. Scroll down to watch the BMW versus Mini hot hatch battle.
Xcar checks if BMW's i8 offers moves as electrifying as its looks
Sat, 02 Aug 2014If you were to plot the general opinion about hybrids since their introduction among auto enthusiasts, the resulting graph would likely be shaped somewhat like a "V." In the beginning interest was high, simply due the novelty of these new powertrains, then the line would gradually fall as the models got the stereotype of being boring commuters. Today, though, things might be back on the upswing. Vehicles like the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and BMW i8 are showing that a hybrid doesn't have to be synonymous for dull. In its latest video, Xcar Films aims to find out if BMW's electrified sports coupe actually earns the brand's old moniker as the ultimate driving machine.
While the focus here is on what the i8 is like behind the wheel, one of the main highlights for the viewer is the interesting ways that Xcar shoots the BMW. It's not necessarily a beautiful vehicle, but seeing it in motion reveals all sorts of little intricacies that still photos don't pick up. For example, our eye catches the flying buttresses and little crevices scooped out of the corners when we get a look at the rear. It's just a fun car to look at.
With its 1.5-liter, turbocharged, three-cylinder engine and electric motor, the i8 positions itself as the future of automotive performance. But its intriguing looks and cutting-edge use of carbon fiber would be wasted if the coupe didn't drive well. We won't spoil the final verdict, though, you'll have to watch the video above.
