2001 Bmw M5! No Title! Florida Certificate Of Destruction Only! Runs Great! on 2040-cars
Alpharetta, Georgia, United States
This vehicle is currently located in Atlanta, GA. I am a used car dealer. I basically purchased this vehicle as a toy. I was going to use it as a track car. When I purchased the vehicle, it did not run and drive. The engine was locked. The cause seemed to be a blown head gasket. No coolant in radiator, all the coolant was in the block when we drained the oil. I had a perfect engine & gearbox out of another M5 that was wrecked badly and not worth repairing. That engine went into this car. The donor cars mileage at the time of the swap was 86,348 and the donor car was a 2002 M5. If you want the VIN to verify or pics of the donor car, just let me know.
This vehicle that I am selling ONLY comes with a Florida Certificate of Destruction. Please don't ask me why, where, how to get a title for it, etc. The answer will be I do not know. If you are the high bidder, its your responsibility to know the rules and regulations of your home state or country as well as what you can and can't do with the car once you acquire it. Included with the sale of the car will be the Florida Certificate of Destruction and a bill of sale from me. That is all. The bad:The car was involved in an accident in its past life. It was repaired fairly, but not perfectly. The front bumper is not original, fog lights are missing. PDC sensors are not connected. Plastic panels under & around the front end were not replaced. Paint work is fair, some imperfections, but for the most part you have to be looking for them or know what you're looking for. Dent below drivers side tail light. Drivers door window regulator is not working. Aftermarket wheels, painted calipers. Star in windshield. The good:Newer, lower mileage engine and gearbox. Fresh oil change with Liqui Moly 10w60. Some brittle vacuum hoses were replaced while the new engine was being installed. Power steering hose replaced. Car runs, drives great. No check engine light on. Brand new front rotors and pads (less than 300 miles). Interior is in very good condition. No major interior issues, no major rips, tears, odors, stains, etc. Aftermarket wheels have good tires. Please ask as many questions as possible. I have perfect feedback and want to keep it that way. I tried to give you an honest description. If you have any other questions, just let me know. High bidder is buying the car as-is. No warranties or guarantees. |

BMW M4 Concept bows, takes handoff from M3 Coupe
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Remember how, when the first BMW M4 Concept images leaked earlier today, we told you the official information would be coming later this evening? Well, scratch that. The whole kit and caboodle is now online, meaning all the official details are below, as well as a full gallery of high-res images above.
The replacement for the M3 Coupe, the Concept M4 Coupe shares a number of styling similarities with its dearly departed forbearer. To us, it's kind of like a mishmash of greatest hits from the new 4 Series and the old M3. The 4 Series headlights have grown on us, and the side grilles, which are part of BMW's Air Curtain and Air Breather system, are functional.
The power dome in the hood is smaller than on the M3, but is of a similar shape, while the rear diffuser and exhaust treatment look like they're lifted straight from the old car, aside from being finished in carbon fiber. Speaking of which, the carbon fiber roof sports a new touch, a cool BMW M tri-color that runs the length of the roof on the driver's side. The 20-inch M alloy wheels come in a twin five-spoke design, which has sort of become a calling card of BMW's M cars in recent years. Hiding behind those meaty wheels are M's carbon-ceramic brakes.
2015 BMW X4
Tue, 27 May 2014BMW has been in the line-blurring business of late, with the original X5 "Sports Activity Vehicle" muddling the line between SUVs and sport sedans in 1999, the 5 Series Gran Turismo challenging what our definition of "Gran Turismo" means in 2009, and pretty, low-roofed four-doors like the 6 Series Gran Coupe and the fresh new 4 Series Gran Coupe broadening the meaning of the word "coupe."
In the midst of all of this, BMW blurred the lines around both the SUV and coupe genres with its big, heavy, and in many ways ridiculous X5-based "Sports Activity Coupe" (cue collective eye-roll), dubbed X6. Auto wags scoffed at its lack of utility, compromised outward visibility and added cost, but a more emotional public was apparently smitten enough by its aggressive looks to avail itself of some 250,000 of them worldwide in six model years on sale.
Enter the all-new 2015 X4 crossover - err, "Sports Activity Coupe" - which BMW hopes will perform as well in the compact category as the X6 has on the next rung up the ladder. Like the X6, the X4 is a tough sell on paper: it's more expensive and less practical than the X3 on which it's based; it's heavier, despite the loss of interior space; and it doesn't even hold as much stuff in the back as the 3 Series wagon. As with the X6, the X4 is essentially a high-riding style statement that, like proper coupes (the two-door kind), says to the world, "You fools can take your need for practicality and shove it. I just want to look good."
