Stunning, low mile, all original 1991 (E34) M5 in excellent original condition.
Jet black exterior with dove grey leather interior. Zero rust. No accident history, no rips in the leather, no wear
in the headliner, no cracks in the dash, no dents. Everything straight, everything working. Always garaged,
meticulously maintained, and enthusiast owned. I am the 4th owner. Drives like a dream. Never raced.
If you're reading this, you probably know what you're looking at. The E34 M5 is a drop-dead beautiful, rare,
hand-assembled machine (the last such from BMW's M division) that is appreciating rapidly in the collector market.
In looks, it's the final, most sublime update of BMW's classic design language. In performance it's a beast with a
sublime screamer under the hood, a race-derived naturally aspirated inline 6 cylinder engine making 311 hp. In 1990
a new BMW M5 would set you back $56,600 plus options. Only 1200 were imported.
Working cassette stereo
Trunk-mounted CD changer
Self-leveling suspension
Never-mounted spare
All books, original window sticker, Welcome Cassette
Optional heated front seats both work
This is a truly clean, complete, and original M5. That said, it is also a 25+ year old car with typical minor
blemishes befitting its age: light wear to the driver's seat bolster, stone chips on the hood, curb rash on front
valance.
I've owned this car since May 2014. All service in that time performed by BMW specialist Gauthier Motor Werkes in
Ipswich, MA. Recent work and parts (from the past two years) include:
All 4 Michelin tires
Valve Adjustment
Valve cover gasket
Valve cover center gaskets
Oil pan gasket
New battery
Rear shock accumulators
Front struts
Sway bar end link
Fuel door hinge
Washer fluid level sensor
Recent life changes make selling necessary; otherwise this M5 would remain in the garage, while its value soars on
the updrafts of every close relation in the BMW family. (Consider recent trends in collectibility of this M5's
immediate predecessor, the E28 M5; its immediate successor, the E39 M5; and its contemporary, the E30 M3.)
I can't paste actual links into this listing, but because you need to kill a little more time at work, I recommend

Is this the new BMW 7 Series?
Mon, Jun 8 2015Autocar has stumbled upon what appears to be the first uncovered photo of the next-generation BMW 7 Series. It looks like the real deal, and we'll know for sure on June 10, when the 2016 model is officially revealed. This image allegedly appeared on a BMW configurator, and has since been taken down. According to Autocar, the new 7 Series will come in 730d, 740i, and 750i trims (in Europe, anyway), with or without xDrive all-wheel drive. BMW already released a few details about its new 7 Series. We know that the new car will be nearly 290 pounds lighter than its predecessor, and will feature gesture control technology and an LCD display key. We're sure BMW has a whole lot more in store for its new flagship, so check back later this week for the full helping of details.
BMW 5 Series future: 3-cyl engines and 600-hp M5
Fri, Jan 9 2015What if we told you the next BMW M5 would crest 600 horsepower? You probably wouldn't be too surprised, considering the steady increase in output that's accompanied each preceding generation. Now, what if we told you that the next BMW 5 Series would be available with a three-cylinder engine? Yeah, that'd be a surprise. But it may be a reality, according to a new report from Car. In its roundup of information on the next-gen BMW 5, code-named G30, the Brit mag predicts the new sedan will arrive in the summer of next year riding on an all-new platform that trims nearly 180 pounds of body fat through the use of high-strength steel, aluminum and carbon fiber. That platform, called the CLAR, which is short for Cluster Architecutre will give birth to not only a new 6 Series, but (for some reason) a 5 Series Gran Turismo and a Touring model, which won't likely be sold in the US. It will also underpin the 7 Series, eventually. Under hood, the lighter 5er will be paired with a new 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbodiesel for the entry level 518d. This is the same three-pot oil-burner found in the 2 Series Active Tourer and Mini Cooper D. Of course, considering how little of BMW's actual engine range is sold in the US, we very much doubt the 518d will make it across the pond. More likely candidates for the US market include a range of a 2.0-liter, four-cylinders, such as the 272-horsepower 528i, and potentially a four-cylinder diesel. Naturally, there will be six-cylinder mills, found on the 530i, 530d, 540i and M550d. At the very top of the range, of course, will be a 600-hp M5. There will even be a range of hybrids and plug-in hybrids that are sure to further annihilate the formerly logical BMW nomenclature. Car expects the new 5er to arrive next summer, which we'd wager would lead to a debut at either the 2016 Geneva Motor Show or perhaps next year's Auto China, in Beijing. BMW ReachNow just became a full-fledged mobility services program
Tue, Nov 15 2016Since officially opening its doors with 370 cars in Seattle in April, BMW's ReachNow has made little expansions. It stared operations in Portland and grew to 760 cars. Today, it also announced that Brooklyn would join the list, and that the number of available cars to share would climb to 1,030. But the big news is that the scope of ReachNow's efforts has just grown tremendously. Instead of just the original, short-term car rental option ReachNow will now be able to do all sorts of things. These include: ReachNow Ride: Similar to Lyft and Uber, this is a ride-hailing program where someone drives you to your destination. You can request a driver and set personal experience options, like setting a radio station or requesting silence for the ride. A pilot program will start in Seattle. ReachNow Fleet Solutions: BMW's version of Zipcar, but only for residents of specific apartment buildings. This is a station-based, dedicated car sharing plan and the first pilot will be in Manhattan, starting in a few weeks. It will be based at The Solaire in lower Manhattan and will use plug-in i3s exclusively. ReachNow Reserve: Remember good, old-fashioned rental cars? This is like that, but a bit fancier. BMW's longer-term rental service will let you schedule a particular model, which will then be delivered to you. You can keep it as long as you like, but we assume that if you're thinking of not giving it back for a few months, you're doing it wrong. ReachNow Share: BMW saw what Turo (nee Relay Rides) was doing and figured it was a good idea. With this program, you will be able to rent out your own 2016 or 2017 Mini for a minimum of two days, making you a bit of cash from your car when you're not using it. This rolls out in December in Seattle, and ReachNow CEO Steve Banfield said that it may expand to other models in the future. At #AutoMobilityLA, @turo says it has 2 million activated users and 120,000 listed vehicles. At #AutoMobilityLA , @reachnow announces third city for @BMW's car sharing services: Brooklyn.
