E46 M3 Mint Condition Only 44,000 Miles on 2040-cars
Frisco, Texas, United States
This is a Mint Condition car, has never been in inclement weather, always garaged, always babied and there is no mechanical faults, just had inspection 2 and valve adjustment done, which was 2200$ also has brand new brake pads and has motul transmission fluid. The car is a convertible, and has no rips tears, or stains on the top, also the interior is immaculate. the car has a carbon fiber difuser as well, as angel eyes. The car has never been beat on,or "raced" the car was only used on the weekends. The car still has a extended powertrain warranty till the end of 2014 or 60,000 miles.
The car is a six speed manual, not the smg which is really common, and problematic, this is one of the best feeling manual transmissions I have ever driven, the clutch is extremely soft, and is well suited for bumper to bumper traffic, its really hard to find a manual e46 m3, with low miles, and THIS IS THE CAR FOR YOU if you want a clean, extremely well maintained car. The car is honestly brand new, I get compliments on it every time i drive it and people think the car is new, and say "oh is it a 2013 or 2012, they are in disbelief when i say its a 2001, I am really going to miss this car, only reason im selling is because I will be getting another bmw |

2015 BMW Alpina B6 Gran Coupe challenges the M6 in New York
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Despite being a well-respected outfit for decades, Alpina remains something of a mystery to many stateside BMW fans. In Europe, Alpina has established itself as a first-rate source for breathed-upon high-performance Bimmers, and it's looking to continue picking up traction on our shores. The US has received a handful of Alpina models through BMW factory channels, namely the 7-Series-based B7, and now we're getting another fast four-door with the debut of the BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe at today's 2014 New York Auto Show.
The B6 Gran Coupe stands as an interesting sibling to the factory's M6 Grand Coupe. Both are propelled by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, but the tunes are quite different. The Alpina produces 540 horsepower and 540 pound-feet of torque, which is 20 hp less than the M6, but with 40 lb-ft more torque. An eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive mean that the B6 is about half a second quicker to 60 miles per hour than BMW's own creation. Plus, the B6 has an unrestricted top speed of 198 mph, making it one seriously rapid 6 Series Gran Coupe.
The sport sedan also wears other Alpina goodies like 20-inch versions of the brand's 21-spoke wheels and exclusive color options. The B6 Gran Coupe goes for $118,225 (including destination), and will be available through BMW dealers immediately after the auto show ends. More info about the B6 is in the release below.
Preserving automotive history costs big bucks

$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.
BMW 2 Series Active Tourer pulls its way onto the stage
Wed, 05 Mar 2014We know what you might be thinking: here comes another BMW with yet another kind of roofline. Only this isn't just another BMW. It's the first front-drive BMW, and the first time we've ever seen it in person.
That model, of course, is the new 2 Series Active Tourer, debuting here in Geneva as the production version of the Concept Active Tourer and the beefier Concept Active Tourer Outdoor that followed. It shares about as much with the 2 Series Coupe as a jelly donut, but takes BMW into a new market segment - that of the high-roofed hatchback (or micro-minivan, depending on your perspective) occupied by the likes of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class and Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan.
Power comes from a choice of 1.5-liter turbo three, 2.0-liter turbo four or 2.0-liter turbodiesel - but aside from the forced-induction engines what they all the versions have in common is what makes the 2 Series Active Tourer newsworthy: they all sit up front, driving the front wheels. It's an idea BMW purists might not appreciate, but one we'd all better get used to just the same.
