2002 BMW M3 Dinan Race Package This is the Dinan S2 Package NO SUPERCHARGER! Up for auction is my wifes 2002 BMW M3 Dinan car. I purchased this vehicle 2 years ago for my wife with 50,200 miles on it. We have 3 kids and a large dog. She was tired of feeling like a soccer mom and wanted a car like she had before we started our family. I couldn't afford to buy her a Porsche GT3 like mine so I opted for a really well sorted BMW M3 Dinan car. The reality of the situation is that. I never used my GT3 and she hasn't had the time to use the M3. Between soccer games and birthday parties there just is no time. I have since sold my GT3 and we have decided to make more room at the house and are selling the M3. The BMW M3 has been completely serviced. There is not one drop of oil or one service issue with the car. The car has brand new tires and has been aligned. There is a brand new water pump and new vans lines.The modifications to the car were performed at Dinan and I have all of the original paperwork. The list of modifications are as follows. 2015 BMW i8 sets everyone's tongues wagging in Northern Michigan
Fri, 31 Oct 2014Like few other cars we can remember, people want to talk about the 2015 BMW i8. Drive one, and you'll soon find out what we mean. They stop you at gas stations. They accost you in Walgreen's parking lots. They stream out of neighborhood bars, beers in hand.
At least, that was our experience this week during Autoblog's Technology of the Year testing. We had the pleasure of driving the plug-in hybrid BMW sports car up to and around Petoskey, MI, a resort town where seeing such exotics is rare enough, let alone in the off season. It made for some interesting conversations - so we began writing down some of the comments the butterfly-doored coupe inspired. Here's a sampling:
"Wanna race for pinks? I'll go easy on you." - Acne-covered teenage pizza delivery driver in a sad-looking Ford Taurus parked at a Valero gas station near Grayling (which incidentally didn't actually have gas).
NHTSA gives okay for three automakers to skirt tire-related recalls
Thu, 25 Jul 2013BMW, Honda, and Mercedes-Benz are all going to avoid small recalls, after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued petitions for "findings of inconsequential noncompliance" to the three manufacturers, according to Tire Business. Basically, the petitions allow the brands to avoid recalls for some very, very minor issues.
BMW had tire placards on 364 X6 M CUVs that stated the car could only handle four passengers, when in reality it had room for three in the back. Actual plausibility of fitting three real humans in the slope-roofed Bimmer aside, the Munich-based manufacturer argued it was inconsequential, as the placards were correct regardless of the number of passengers.
Honda's case focused on 212 2011 and 2012 Acura TSX sedans equipped with 18-inch wheels. The TPMS systems on these cars were set for 17-inch wheels, rather than the larger hoops, but even with the lower settings, the tires maintain adequate load capacity.
