So car fax will show two owners but its always technically been me. New paint this summer, new near everything, all inspections to date, lots of new!!"

For sale is my 2003 BMW m3.. It is a very clean car.. gets looks everywhere I go.. I am the 2, 3rd and 4th owner let me explain..  I purchased this car used gosh years ago.. Had a divorce and sold it to my father for safe keeping, I still drove it, and then once done I purchased it back from my father..   So hope that clears up confusion if you do a car fax.. I have the documents to prove this as well..

Mechanically its sound, all inspections are uptodate, including inspection 2 was performed just this may at a certified dealer (I have documentation). SMG pump, Clutch, Flywheel, gear selector system was all replaced last year at again the same certified BMW dealer and I have reciepts to show it.. So you have a year left on the warranty of those parts if needs be..

While inspection 2 was being done, I replaced the waterpump, radiator, coil packs, plugs, transmission fluid, rear differential cover and fluid, of course motor oil TWS 10w60 and mann filter like the car always has had via the dealer only. power steering hoses are new as the pressure had a slow drop to it this spring, so during inspection I had it replaced also. Belt etc all brand new..  as of this spring...   Car runs like a dream!!     No subframe issues were found when inspected.

Car has new suspension bushings, brakes have around 6K miles on them as they were replaced last year ar around 88K miles give or take a few..   Tires are new as of this spring so 90% tread left on them..

Wheels are 19" CSL wheels staggered fitment, OEM suspension, CSL replicated Carbon roof, Carbon GTR hood (its painted to match the car minus the vents), Carbon trunk lever, and carbon diffuser.. It looks great off the matte black paint.. which was done in the spring also.. again I have reciept from the body shop who did it.. The color is Duport Hot Rod Black..   surprisingly very easy to clean... soap and water and microfiber towel dry and your done for the paint.. that simple!!   Looks supurb, and def gets attention!!    Also has the CSL front bumper lip..

Interior is in excellent condition also, leather has always been conditioned and cleaned. floor mats are in great shape and are the orginials. Stereo is only thing not OEM, but if buyer demands I have the OEM hardon Kardon stuff I can toss back in and keep my upgraded stuff but price of vehicle will not change due to this, and buyer only gets one..

I have 6.5" Alpine type R component sets in the doors, and the rear deck lid, and a layer of dynamat in the trunk, floor, and doors of this car.. It has a sony HD headunit for HD radio listening or for your Ipod which I use a lot.. I even have a 12" Sub that is in the trunk and easily removeable...  The stereo completely rocks, No you wont win car shows with the stereo, or a competition with it.. But It sure the heck beats OEM by a heck of a lot.. Its boarder line too loud if you want it.. But it is super clean and crisp... I listen to rock and country often (yes odd mix) but it plays mudvayne exceptional then I toss brad paisley in and it sounds just as good.. and rumbles the mirrors without distortion..

Lights on the car all all HID 6000K, and are the auto adjustible versions.. meaning they align themselves automatically.. You can see it once you first power up the car.. the headlights will move up and down and find the center.. its kinda cool but ive grown used to it..

Exhaust is OEM, and the o2 sensors I replaced this spring when I did the inspection just cause they claim 90-100k is average life of a sensor, so I just went ahead and put new ones in while I was there.. it didnt need it but i did it anyways.. I am kinda picky on this car, and any sign of trouble it goes to the dealer asap...  but i never really had any issues with it..  and its in my view in excellent condition.. all the major if;s on the m3 cars I have either replaced, or upgraded already with documents to show it... so the new owner should have years of driving pleasure with no concerns..

drives straight, handles amazingly like any m car should, and it isnt the fastest off the line but it does well.. It shines in the upper rpm range and on the highway...    I never had it going to 160+ but i bet it will do it no doubt about it.. the car shocks lots of stangs and camaros when they toy with it.. lol...   that being said its been my m3 for years, if you want a car that never once in its life been ran hard keep looking.. I have redlined it before and gotten on it and drove it like it should, but 80% the time I drove it like it was a metro haha!!  so No it was not abused.. it was never on the strip or any track for that matter..    and if anyone who owns a sports car says they never got on their car to see some power they are liars... I have and will admit to it, and darn its fun!!!  But it was never anything i did on a daily basis by any means..

car never was driven in snow or salt..  heck i barely drive it in any bad weather.. once in a while rain if i get caught in it.. but normally it sits in my garage on bad days.. but when its sunny I drive it, and i like to drive it a lot... I put a years worth of mileage on it in 4 months every year cause I try and drive it that much.. but once weather comes.. its in the garage with a cover over it, and tis started here and there just to keep it going well and not to drain the battery..

Ohh that reminds me the battery is new last fall too, its a OEM BMW battery that I wish i went to autozone for as it cost me around 300 dollars and i could did it myself for around 70.. ohh well, least its new...

questions please ask away.. ill be happy to answer them, and sales are final.. I wont do joy rides with you etc.. if you buy it ill take you around the street, on the highway etc.. but till its paid for i wont let you drive it.. sorry I had a supra i sold once and god knows how many kids tried to buy it and just wanted to drive it then was like well i cant afford it.. so no no joy rides.. if you cant show me your serious your not getting in it to drive till its in your name, or you serioulsy convince and show me a bank check/cash that you are serious..  sorry thats just the rules...

PS.. I am not intrested in trades... I want the good ole dollar bill for this car, and not a civic and wheels and cash, nothing of that sort... I have other cars so none of that BS about winter and you will trade me a 4x4 to drive cause its better in winter.. If you read this far i think you can read above i dont drive it in weather so its obvious I already have a 4x4 i daily drive year round if im not in the m3... so no i dont need another car, or anything else..

Buyer will pick up the car, and if you are flying in to drive it home, i can arrange to get you from the airport, then to the bank to grab the title, and you can then drive it home or load on t trailer, or whatever...     Or I can arrange with your shipping company to pick it up for delivery..  whatever you choose..   enjoy!!

******To note if buyer wants I have agentcy headers, resonated midpipe, and exhaust system for this car I just never installed.. If buyer would want these also I will let them go for 2000.00 extra    the exhaust and midpipe alone sell for that new, the header is around 1100 dollars by itself new..  and my stuff has never been used or installed....      But these items are not included with the sale of this auction but can be added if the buyer wishes to purchase them from me upon pickup of car..  email/contact me and I can provide photos of them all..

Former BMW M boss and Maserati CEO killed in freak motorcycle accident

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

It's a tragic coincidence that on the same weekend the BMW M4 Coupe Concept was introduced in Monterey, one of the men most integral to BMW's M and Motorsports divisions, Karl-Heinz Kalbfell, was killed in England. Kalbfell, a vintage motorcycle enthusiast, was set to compete in the Lansdowne Classic Series at Brands Hatch and had an accident during a practice session. After going wide at Druids Corner and falling, he was hit by a competitor following close behind and died of his injuries after being transported to hospital.
Kalbfell, an engineer, began his career at BMW in 1977 in the communications department; a decade later he was chairman of BMW M GmbH, overseeing development of some of the cars responsible for the myth of M. In 1994 he was named chairman of BMW Motorsport, and his cap full of feathers includes getting the BMW V12 into the McLaren F1, getting the BMW V8 into two Morgan cars, along with developing BMW's Formula One engine and return to the sport. Not incidentally, he also assumed leadership of Project Rolls-Royce after BMW bought the British marque in 1998, which means he oversaw the Goodwood factory upfit and the creation of the Phantom.
He left Rolls-Royce for a brief stint at Fiat, heading Alfa Romeo and Maserati, then went into consulting for clients like Lotus and Paragon, who built the Artega GT. As Autocar notes, Kalbfell "had an abiding sense that customers needed to be attracted to cars by their aura and reputation, not just their engineering." He will be missed.

BMW mulling potential 9 Series production

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Nine months may be long enough to bring another human being into the world, but it may take BMW a bit longer to make up its mind on the production of a potential 9 Series model. The idea was first mooted when the Bavarian automaker presented the Vision Future Luxury concept at the Beijing Motor Show last year. Billed (not unlike rival Audi's Prologue concept) more as a design study than a pre-production concept, the Vision Future Luxury show car nevertheless took a larger form than the 7 Series, prompting speculation that a new flagship sedan could be in the works. The better part of a year later, such a decision has reportedly yet to be taken, but over at BMW Blog they're reporting that the automaker's incoming chief executive Harald Kruger is a fan of the idea and could give it the green light after he takes the helm in May. If approved, the model likely to be dubbed 9 Series would reportedly compete with the Mercedes-Maybach S600 – but then that model was earmarked to take on the Rolls-Royce Ghost. BMW has typically been careful not to overlap with its Rolls-Royce division, but considering how it's also been going downmarket with front-drive models to close the gap to the Mini brand, we wouldn't be all that surprised to see the 9 Series positioned maybe just below the next-generation Ghost and developed alongside it, taking a page out of rival VW's playbook. Volkswagen has, after all, made a brisk business out of sharing platforms and slicing market segments between the various brands under its umbrella. And while BMW is nowhere near as large, its new leadership could find new ways to increase its market share.
