98 E36 Bmw M3 Auto Convertible No Reserve on 2040-cars
Springfield, Missouri, United States
I have up for sale a 1998 BMW M3 convertible, automatic with only 98k miles. Engine runs great without any problems, car also drives great. It has had new transmission oil put in it half a year ago, new vanos, new valve cover gasket, new shocks, new front wheel bearings, new front break pads, aftermarket CD player. It sits on 19in wheels, installed new depo headlights with Angel lights and HID 6k, has a strut bar and intake.
Front tires have about 75% thread left and rear tires are new. Oil changed every 3k miles with castrol edge fully synthetic. Convertible top works great and every time. Has one key to the car, 6 month old battery from interstate battery. The bad about the car, needs to have the ac serviced, brake booster serviced, cruise control doesn't turn on, front seats have normal wear and tear for the year, Otherwise then that the car is my daily driver to and from work. I love the car and driving it is something everyone would love to experience. Reason I'm selling it is I'm trying to buy a house and need down payment. The car does have a salvage title due to a minor accident it had when it hoped on a curb. I owned the car for about 3 years now and still love it so would u. If you want more detailed pictures or info you can email, call or text me anytime at 417-343-0038. Alex. |

Electrified BMW X1 spotted testing
Tue, 09 Apr 2013So here's something interesting. This might look like an ordinary BMW X1, but take a closer glance - those stickers on the side read "hybrid test vehicle," and around back, there doesn't appear to be a tailpipe at all. But does this mean that BMW is working on a straight-up all-electric version of its smallest crossover? Let's hypothesize for a moment.
Just because we can't see a tailpipe in these photographs doesn't mean there isn't one somewhere under there. And while those hybrid stickers are an indication that there's some sort of electrification going on underhood, it could just be for a forthcoming gasoline-electric version of the X1. Lexus recently confirmed it would be bringing a small hybrid CUV to market that will compete in the X1's space, so perhaps BMW is working on another powertrain option to offer when its littlest crossover gets refreshed.
Also consider that Toyota collaborated with Tesla to bring back the RAV4 EV, which would sort of compete with the X1, so it also stands to reason that perhaps this is an early test mule for a larger all-electric vehicle in the upcoming, eco-minded BMW i range. Our spies seem pretty confident that the prototype seen here is indeed an all-out EV, but we just can't say with certainty without more evidence.
BMW expounds on i8 design and performance in new videos
Fri, 03 Jan 2014At this point, there isn't much we don't know about the 2015 BMW i8, so BMW is starting to focus its attention on reassuring consumers that the future of BMW won't abandon the past. In these two recently released videos, BMW answers questions prospective buyers might have about about the new model's design and performance.
In the design video, BMW explains how the i8's styling is intended to be practical, with aerodynamics and fuel efficiency in mind, yet still have a sporty and dynamic look. The performance video aims to show that the plug-in hybrid can be fuel efficient while still delivering plenty of performance, and it shows an animation about how the i8's drive systems work together. Scroll down to watch both videos on this bold green supercar.
BMW considering North American engine plant?
Fri, 13 Dec 2013BMW may be set to expand its US operations with a new engine plant, Bloomberg reports. The Bavarian automaker already has its Spartanburg, SC factory which builds the company's X3, X5 and X6 crossovers. According to the story, Mexico is also under consideration for the BMW engine factory, with the report claiming a final decision will be made in 2014.
"Establishing local motor manufacturing abroad is more complex than assembling cars, but it's a logical step for them to eventually start making engines in markets where they're expanding vehicle production," Juergen Pieper, an analyst for Bankhaus Metzler tells Bloomberg. Building engines in the US or Mexico would save BMW from having to ship engines for some of its most popular models across the Atlantic.
BMW, for its part, hasn't said anything concrete. Spokesman Mathias Schmidt is quoted in the story saying, "As part of our long-term growth strategy, we're frequently looking at different countries for possible locations of future production facilities. No decisions have been made yet, though, for an additional plant."
