THIS IS A 2011 BMW M3! WITH 25K MILES. THIS IS NOT MY CAR, I AM LISTING FOR A FRIEND OF MINE. IF YOU HAVE ANY ? PLEASE CALL HIM DIRECT 845-464-6466 PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME ABOUT THIS CAR.
SO LETS START WITH THE BODY OF THE M3, IT IS IN VERY GREAT CONDITION WITH ONE DING ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE REAR QUARTER PANEL. I BELIEVE THE DING IS REPAIRABLE BY A PAINT-LESS DENT REMOVER COMPANY. THERE ARE SOME MARKS ON THE LOWER EDGE OF THE FRONT BUMPER FROM TAPPING A PARKING CURB. ALL THESE PROBLEMS ARE PICTURED. THE CAR HAS NOT HAD ANY PAINT WORK OR BODY WORK. THE TIRES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AS WELL, ALSO PICTURED WITH A QUARTER. THE SEATS ARE IN AWESOME SHAPE BUT THE DRIVERS SEAT DOES HAVE A SMALL SCRAPE FROM THE SEAT BELT OR FROM PANTS SLIDING IN AND OUT ALSO PICTURED. THIS M3 IS EQUIPPED WITH THE COMPETITION, TECHNOLOGY AND PREMIUM PACKAGES. IT ALSO HAS A SET OF 20 INCH STAGGERED WHEELS THAT MAKE THIS THING LOOK VERY AGGRESSIVE. DO NOT HAVE THE FACTORY 19 INCH WHEELS ANYMORE. OTHER WISE THE CAR IS IN FACTORY FORM. AGAIN IF YOU HAVE ANY ? CALL MATT AT 845-464-6466 |

BMW shows up-armored X5 concept and we can't get near it
Wed, 11 Sep 2013BMW has brought a slightly different concept vehicle to the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Rather than something that foreshadows a future product or a new design direction, the Munich-based manufacturer has brought an X5 that's designed to be shot at. It's called the Concept X5 Security Plus. The Concept X5 name is a bit misleading, though. It's based on the 2014 X5, while BMW already builds an armored CUV, called the X5 Security. The concept tag has to do with the "Security Plus" part.
Engineered to be compliant with VR6 security standards - the current X5 Security is for VR4 standards - the Concept X5 will quite happily shrug off direct attacks from an AK-47. Thanks to sealed joints, high-strength steel moldings, high-performance steel body panels and special, polycarbonate-coated security glass, Kalashnikov's finest, whether used as a firearm or as a melee weapon, would be useless against this X5.
Built alongside the standard X5 in BMW's Spartanburg, SC factory, the X5 is shipped to a BMW facility in Toluca, Mexico for installation of the armor and security features. The company claims this delivers a more thoroughly engineered protective solution than aftermarket retrofitting.
BMW begins restoring Elvis Presley's 507 [w/video]
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Imagine the King of Rock n' Roll driving a car and you'll likely picture a pink Cadillac or a yellow De Tomaso shot full of holes. But Elvis also owned a 1957 BMW 507 roadster, and now that roadster is returning home to BMW headquarters.
The 507 was a rare bird, of which only 254 examples were ever made. They were sold mostly to celebrities and royalty, but Elvis Presley was a GI when he bought it while stationed in Germany. The example that he bought had been displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, used as a press car and raced by Hans Stuck (which is how Elvis came to see it in the first place), so when he took delivery of it second-hand, the dealership had a new engine installed. It was originally white, but legend has it that Elvis got tired of women writing their phone numbers on the side of it in lipstick that he had it repainted in red.
Stories differ on what exactly happened to it next, with some saying that he returned it once the lease was up and other saying that the army shipped it back to him in the States after his tour was over. But what we do know is that the car sat for many years, neglected but sheltered from the elements. Now it's heading to the the BMW Museum in Munich, where it will be on display until August 10, after which the BMW Group Classic department will undertake a comprehensive restoration of the star-studded roadster that's expected to take two years of work.
Watch two championship-winning DTM cars from BMW go head-to-head
Mon, 06 May 2013BMW recently had a little fun with two of the company's past DTM champions. Roberto Ravaglia and Bruno Spengler, winners of the 1989 and 2012 championships, respectively, both showed up at the world-famous Hockenheimring with their title-winning cars. The two swapped seats, with Ravaglia taking the helm of Spengler's BMW M3 DTM racer and Spengler sliding behind the wheel of Ravaglia's first-generation M3 racer in the classic BMW Bank livery, and headed for the track. Spengler got a 23 second head start in the first-gen M3 with Ravaglia chasing behind.
It didn't take long for the older hotshoe to sort out his new ride and close the gap. The short clip below follows the two as they make their way around the circuit, but the really interesting portion comes when the pair begin discussing what they like and don't like about each other's machines. You can check out the full video below for yourself.
