Up for sale is my 2008 BMW M3. I am the second owner of the vehicle after the vehicle was turned in at the end of its lease. The M3 has approx. 18,6XX miles on the odometer and runs flawlessly. It is a 6 speed manual with premium package. Truly a no frills, basic M3 that is meant to perform as it is expected and will not have any electrical problems or issues that some iDrive models may experience. It is garaged as it is my "weekend vehicle." 15k mile maintenance was done at Richmond BMW where they changed the transmission fluid, differential fluid, oil change and changed the front brake pads (standard procedure). Car has been updated with latest ECU/DME software from BMW. Car has been meticulously cared for and I hate to sell it but time for it to move onto another owner who can care for it as much as I have. They no longer produce the E92 M3 and the 4.0 Liter V8 engine is a marvel that will be desired for years to come. This color is not common at all and gets looks every single time it is taken out for a ride. Truly a looker as the sun sets and the paint turns into a deep rich blue.

The car has a few modifications/OEM Upgrades. Please note almost all modifications are cosmetic/aero related, and will remove them prior to sale if buyer chooses to. Modifications include:

Front and Rear Carbon Fiber Diffusers
Body Colored Front Reflectors (OEM Reflectors painted 100% match)
Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler
BMW Performance Gloss Black Kidney Grills (OEM)
BMW ZCP GTS Style 359 Black Wheels wrapped in Contintental ExtremeContact DW Tires (OEM)
Upgraded LCI LED Tailights (OEM Tailights of the newer '11+ M3's)
ZHP Shift Knob with M Tri-Stitching Boot (OEM and Perfect Match to E92 M3 Steering Wheel) E-Brake Boot also M tri-stiched
BPM Stage 2 Tune by Mike Benvo (Most popular tuner in the E9X Platform)
Turner Test Pipes (Will be removed and stock catalytic converters will be installed unless buyer wants vehicle as is)
Magnaflow Exhaust System (OEM Exhaust will be re-installed unless buyer wants as is)

Suspension has not been altered. Car can be picked up from Virginia or shipped at buyer's expense. Two keys, owners manual, and supplemental manuals included. Also have a car cover, as well.

Pininfarina Battista hypercar's output specified at 1,873 horsepower

Thu, Nov 24 2022

Even in a galaxy far, far away, the Pininfarina Battista would stand out. After a delay of about three years, the official specifications of the all-electric hypercar have been revealed: Full power is rated at 1,873 horsepower, outputting 1,697 foot-pounds of torque. Sixty-two miles per hour arrives in 1.86 seconds, with 124 mph coming in 4.75 seconds. 217 mph is the estimated top speed. (The Rimac Nevera recently hit 258.) The 120kWh battery pack should enable a range of about 280 miles from a single charge. A pair of electric motors are mounted to each axle, each motor powering a specific wheel and giving the Battista full torque vectoring capability. Pricing — and this is one of those cars that, if one has to ask, just move on — is about $2.2 million, which places it in the territory of the Bugatti Chiron. For those customers considering an upsell, a limited “anniversario” edition will comprise five of the expected 150-unit build run. It differs from the standard version by some cosmetic alterations, which lifts the price by some $70,000-plus. 0r you could buy a BMW M3 as a chase car. The two-seater Battista is named for Battista “Pinin” Farina, who founded Carrozzeria Pininfarina in 1930. A lot of its battery, carbon-fiber chassis and motor components come from Rimac, the nascent Croatian electric supercar maker that recently paired with Porsche to take over Bugatti.  Many more details about the carÂ’s development, several photos and our driving impressions can be found in this Autoblog post from August.   Auto News By the Numbers Green BMW Bugatti Green Automakers Green Driving Coupe Performance Supercars Pininfarina Battista

Alpina D3 may be coming to Frankfurt with 350 hp, AWD

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Rumors are swirling that Alpina, the tuning house that specializes in all things BMW, will followup its Geneva debut of the B3 Bi-Turbo with an oil-burning variant slated for debut at September's Frankfurt Motor Show. The news comes from Auto Zeitung, which reports that the second-generation D3 will be based off the Europe-only 335d.
This is a departure from the last D3, which had the four-cylinder turbo-diesel from the BMW 123d in a 3 Series body. The new model is expected to use a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged inline-six, which will generate 350 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. That should scoot it to 62 miles per hour in under five seconds (likely while towing a tree stump). Both rear- and all-wheel drive should be available on the D3, and we imagine the thrill of this much power channeled through just the two rear wheels to be akin to skydiving sans parachute.
For our European friends that want an Alpina D3, but don't need more torque than any American full-size pickup, there may be plans to offer a four-cylinder variant that still delivers Alpina performance without a compromise in economy. We'll have more on the Alpina D3 when it debuts at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe now more expensive than when new

Sun, 06 Apr 2014

At the end of the day, your friendly Autoblog editors are car guys, just like you. So, while we might have more of an opportunity to test some of the most interesting vehicles on the new car scene than does your average gear head, we can still be found whiling away those long afternoon hours looking at used cars and thinking about what could be.
Just the other day, we had a vivid reminder about one of our dream cars from the very recent past, the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe. If you didn't catch it, Michael Harley had a great time testing and reviewing the new Dinan S3-R version of the car, which throws an impressively engineered turbo and suspension tune on a BMW that was damn near perfect out of the box.
In the Comments section of that review, a few savvy Autoblog readers pointed out that our estimated price for a used donor car, set at $50,000, was low. Odd, we thought, as the car retailed for less than $50k ($46,135) when it was new in 2011. So we started checking around.
