This is an amazing car. It runs, drives, and looks like new. It needs nothing. It is totally ready to go. Get in, drop the top, and drive. I bought this car a little over a year ago for my wife. She drove it 3 times. Too fast/powerful for her. I on the other hand, love driving it. It is fast, smooth, tight, and looks awesome.  It has a clean Carfax Report. There are NO check engine lights, warning lights, etc. Everything works as it should. I spent a lot of money making this car perfect for my wife. It doesn't need anything. I hate to sell it, but my job is moving me out of the country.

Here are some details:

It has the SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox). Can be driven in Automatic OR Manual. Also has the paddle shifters by the steering wheel.

It has every option available to the M3 Convertible that year (except navigation). SMG Transmission, Dual power seats, Dual heated seats, Onboard Computer System, Steering Wheel Controls (Volume, Cruise, Channels), Harmon Kardon Stereo System, CD, Nappa Leather Trim, Sports/Premium Package, Xenon Headlights, Etc.

Imola Red on Imola Red. Very rare color option.

New Wind Screen ($650 I bought new from Newport Beach BMW). This is a MUST HAVE. It makes driving with the top down so much better! You can drive on the freeway at 85 MPH with the top down, music loud, and still have a conversation on the phone or with a passenger.

Tires have less than 3000 miles on them. Bridgestone Potenzas.

I also have a set of nearly new BMW FACTORY 19" M3 Chrome Wheels I will include. (worth around $2K).

I had the windows tinted (DARK). Looks great and really keeps the heat out.

I have the clean title in hand.

I searched High and Low when I bought this car for my wife. It had to be red. It was by far the cleanest, nicest one I could find. It looks and drives like a new car. Many people ask what year it is because it looks so new. This car combines style and performance at it's best.

Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.
To find out the results of the comparison, head over to Road & Track's website or check the press release below, where you'll also find the magazine's top-rated vehicles in eight categories. Want more? Head over to the 2013 PCotY hub. But before you do that, take a stab at guessing the winner of PCotY (we'll give you one hint: it isn't a Porsche).

BMW M3 driving off cliff is a chilling PSA

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

We're a little shocked that the unnamed owner of this cliff-diving E46 BMW M3 would upload the in-car footage of his accident to YouTube. Not only that, he uploaded two videos: raw footage of his roll down the cliff (it looks like somewhere in the Southwest, maybe Arizona) and a tribute video for his BMW that suffered the most severe consequences of understeer. Not only does uploading the videos leave him wide open for judgment by fellow enthusiasts (just read the YouTube comments), but we imagine if the police and his insurance company somehow don't know about the incident already, they will shortly. Scroll below to view for yourself.
The raw footage shows the sort of driving that led to the M3's violent tumble, and it serves as a good public service announcement reminder for everyone out there: Just like the Spengler's streams, double yellow lines aren't meant to be crossed. Also, hard driving is one thing, but hammering on public roads at speeds clearly above your skill levels as a driver is not only a recipe for legal trouble, it's a script for ruining your car at the very least, if not your life.

Gus Van Sant casts the BMW i8 in soft light

Sun, 18 May 2014

BMW has spent the better part of a century building its reputation with fossil-burning transportation, but now it's banking heavily on the success of its new i family of electric vehicles. In order to succeed, it will need to sell examples of the i3, but sell the idea with the i8. And in order to do so, it is going to need some out-of-the-box promotional thinking. And that's just what it seems to have done with this latest campaign of television commercials.
The series of three (or at least that's how many have been released thus far) ads wax more poetic than most of the car ads we've seen. But while they might skimp on the technical details, they don't skip over the talent. The videos are the work of Oscar-nominated director Gus Van Sant, the cinematic artist best known for films like Good Will Hunting, Milk and Finding Forrester.
Van Sant has also solicited the voices of Sam Hazeldine (Caleb from Resurrection), Sting's daughter Mickey Sumner (Sophie from Frances Ha) and Michael Pitt (Jimmy from Boardwalk Empire), but doesn't hide them behind the microphone in the recording studio. Instead they serve as the face of Bavaria's new hybrid sports car, and the results are rather stunning. See for yourself in the trio of videos below.
