For sale I have a beautiful RARE 1999 e36 M3 convertible! This is the last year of the e36 chassis and a very collectable/valuble vehicle!
The car starts, runs and drives absolutely flawless with no issues at all. I would take this car on 1,000 mile road trip without hesitation. Exterior condition of the car is near mint condition aside from minor rock chips on front bumper/hood area from normal driving, not bad at all though. Interior is in great shape for the year with no rips at all, but overall does show some signs of age. The car is an automatic with 169k miles on it and runs like a car with 50k miles on it. THE OTHER DAY, SOMEONE CUT OUT THE REAR WINDOW OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP.. WHOEVER DID IT WAS A PROFESSIONAL AND DID IT NICE AND NEAT, BUT THE REAR WINDOW IS MISSING AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. The top only goes up and down manually as the rear motor in the trunk is seized up.. I am not sure if you can get just a rear window for this car, but worse case, a new complete top is $250 here on ebay and a top motor is less then $200 used. BMW 6 Series Convertible gets a little work done for 2015
Sat, 02 Aug 2014Truth be told, I've never really found the modern BMW 6 Series to be a particularly attractive car, in Coupe, Convertible, or sedan Gran Coupe forms. This current generation certainly looks a whole lot better than the Bangle-fied Six that came before it to my eyes, but on the whole, I find much of the car's design to be fussy and awkward. There's a new 6 Series on the way, scheduled to arrive sometime in 2017 or 2018, but to hold us over until then, BMW is freshening its current range, as evidenced by this convertible prototype our trusty spies recently caught testing.
Will the changes to the current 6 Series be an improvement? Perhaps. Up front, there are restyled headlamps and a new front bumper, and at the rear, BMW has redesigned the LED taillamps to bring them more in line with the rest of the company's offerings. Aside from those modest tweaks, we don't expect much more to change on the Big Six - the interior will likely carry over with some minor tweaks (or new colors), and it's possible the powertrains could be massaged gently for gains in either power, efficiency, or both.
Whether you think this new look is pretty or not, this freshened 6 Series will likely debut sometime next year, while BMW's engineers and designers craft the all-new version. See it from several angles in our gallery, above.

BMW expects China to pass US as its top market in 2013
Thu, 11 Jul 2013When you combine two billion citizens, 100 cities with more than a million inhabitants and an economy that's as unrestrained as Jim Cramer on an Adderall binge, China's explosive auto industry growth shouldn't be a huge surprise. Audi already lists the communist country as its largest market, while Mercedes-Benz is expecting it to be there in the next few years. Now, according to a report from Automotive News, BMW is expecting the People's Republic to overtake the United States in sales by the end of 2013.
We already discovered the extent that BMW is going to in establishing a dedicated Chinese stronghold, when we explored BMW's Shanghai-based DesignWorks studio ahead of April's Shanghai Motor Show. And while we argued that DesignWorks Shanghai hasn't really borne fruit, it isn't due to a lack of sales.
BMW China has seen a 16-percent jump in year-over-year sales, lead by a 28-percent gain in 5 Series sales. Part of BMW's growth strategy comes from an ever-expanding dealership network. Remember those 100 cities we mentioned with over one million people? According to Karsten Engel, CEO of BMW's Chinese operations, those 100-million-plus city dwellers don't have access to a premium dealership.
