1995 E36 Bmw M3 Clean Title (77,000 Original Miles) on 2040-cars

You are bidding on a CLEAN TITLE 1995 E36 BMW M3. You read correctly, the mileage is currently around 77,000. I am the 3nd
owner. The interior
is
beautiful, has no tears, is not faded or cracked ; however, the
door panels need to be redone, just a little separation. The paint is in
great shape. There are 2 small dings on the passenger door, some rock
chips and
some scuff on the side skirts. This M3 comes with every option
imaginable. It
has the multi button computer, cold weather package, the extremely rare
tilt
wheel, front license plate delete, shorty rear wheel flaps, ect.. The
car’s
engine and transmission are completely stock. The BMW has been
meticulously maintained and I can provide a huge stack of receipts. It
recently
had the brakes and rotors replaced, brake fluid flushed, radiator
flushed, rear
end flushed and all four tires replaced with Bridgestone Potenza’s. The
M3 has
never been lowered and the only modifications done have been to the
suspension
and stereo. The mods include the lightweight x brace, turner motorsports
adjustable rear sway bar, and a new set of Koni 3 way adjustable struts.
The
stock stereo has been replaced with a very expensive alpine set up, that
includes boston acoustic 5.0 LF components and a custom made and hidden
Kicker
Free air Sub’s in the trunk. The subs are designed to use the trunk as a
speaker box, provide maximum trunk space and the whole set up delivers
an amazing balanced sound. The suspension set up has less than 1000
miles
on it and makes the car extremely fun to drive. The wheels that were on
the car when
I purchased it has a matching spare. Every car guy knows that every once
in a while you get a car that has something special about it. The previous owner and I kept every receipt and even gave me the original window
sticker. Since I have owned the car I have replaced the transmission with an original, (sifts smooth), replaced the right rear wheel bearing, had the headliner redone, replace the fog lights, replaced the battery, replaced the spare, had the AC serviced, after replacing the CATs, passed SMOG with flying colors, passed . There is an issue with the instrument cluster, but I have an extra one, the buyer just needs to take it to the dealer to have them install and reset the mileage.

Confident new Cadillac marketing boss ready to take on Tesla, BMW
Thu, Jun 26 2014When there's a former BMW executive heading Cadillac's efforts to boost sales of its only plug-in, it's a pretty safe guess that the marketing emphasis won't be on environmental friendliness and tree-hugging tendencies. The General Motors luxury brand has appointed ex-Bimmer executive Uwe Ellinghaus to be its marketing chief late last year, and the German-born Ellinghaus is now saying that he's targeting potential customers of Tesla Motors, in addition to BMW, for potential growth in sales of the Cadillac ELR extended-range plug-in. Appointed to Cadillac's head of marketing last November, Ellinghaus recently told Advertising Age that GM needs to highlight the Cadillac's looks and performance. He complimented Tesla for putting more emphasis on those attributes in the Model S than on its lack of emissions or lack of refueling costs (but Tesla hasn't shied away from highlighting the EV's savings). Ellinghaus says that trying to gear advertising "for people who are tree-huggers and green-wash an entire brand" won't be successful. You don't say. So far, the ELR hasn't made much of a dent in US car sales. Through May, Cadillac, which spent about $280 million on all of its US marketing last year, sold 293 units, whereas Tesla had been approaching the 11,000-unit figure for the Model S. With that in mind, Cadillac may be working on a sportier version of the ELR, as spy shots of a test vehicle from May revealed larger brakes and wheels. You can read our First Drive impressions of the ELR here.
Someone's willing to pay $16,000 for a hollow, non-working BMW i8
Tue, Aug 26 2014There is an unusual BMW i8 for sale on eBay right now. Unlike your average – and by that we mean "working" – i8, this one pretty much just sits there, looking pretty. See, the i8 in question is just a promotional body shell. It's fullsize and being sold (we think) by a legit BMW dealer (Laurel BMW of Westmont), so it's got strong ties to the real thing, but there's nothing inside. In fact, you can't open the doors or windows and the wheels don't move, unless you count the tiny rolling castors that are a part of the prop. There is no fancy plug-in hybrid powertrain – no powertrain of any sort, in fact – and it was "professionally crafted just for BMW dealers." The headlights do turn on, though, so that's something. What's most impressive, though, is that there are 50 bids for this non-working BMW. In fact, the bidding has climbed up to $16,000. For a car that can't fulfill its mission as a car, that's pretty impressive. Oh, and those bids have not yet hit the reserve price, so the dealer is obviously hoping it can get more money for this hollow BMW. The official base MSRP for a working i8 is $135,700. The first i8 delivered in the US, a special edition for Pebble Beach, just sold for $825,000.
Rinspeed issues its Budii call for Geneva [w/video]
Tue, Feb 17 2015Of all the concepts prepared every year for the Geneva Motor Show, those made by Rinspeed are typically the most outlandish and forward-thinking. And this is the latest from Frank Rinderknecht and company. Though Rinspeed's been known to build entirely original vehicles from the ground up, it tends to base its creations on production models: Following the Tesla-based XchangE from last year, the Smart-based Dock+Go of 2012, the Fiat-based E2 from 2009 and the Lotus-based sQuba in 2007, the new Budii concept is based on the BMW i3. That means, of course, that it's powered by electricity, but the technology demonstrator is focused more on autonomous driving tech. The Budii incorporates a periscopic camera and laser scanner to map the terrain and the road ahead from above, and a drive-by-wire steering system that allows the steering wheel on an articulated column to be passed between driver and passenger or tucked out of the way to let the electronics take over. Once unburdened of the task of driving, the occupants can enjoy the proliferation of touchscreens, the "wellness shower" (whatever that is) installed in the headliner, the automatic watch-winder on the steering column and the interior accoutrements furnished by Mansory. The whole thing rides on a lowered suspension with 19-inch Borbet alloys, with a rainbow Knight Rider-style grille in the nose. But to appreciate the full scope of the consortium of suppliers that collaborated with Rinspeed to bring the Budii to life, you'll want to delve into the press release after the video below and scope out the dozens of high-resolution images in the slideshow above. 2015 Geneva Motor Show: Rinspeed "Budii" redefines human-machine interaction Reach out to robots The vision of autonomous driving will soon become reality and will fundamentally change the interaction of man and automobiles. While the research centers of the automotive industry are still feverishly working on the technical solutions, progressive thinkers such as the Swiss idea factory Rinspeed are already giving concrete thought to how automated private transport will transform the car and the man-machine system. Besides fundamental conceptual changes, this will also have to involve issues of ethics and society. In the past, the robots in the factories of this world merely assembled cars for people. In the new "Budii" concept car from Swiss automotive visionary Frank M.
