Hello, I am looking to sell my BMW M3 Race Car. The Car is in excellent condition and will make an excellent race car for the future owner. The history of the car is relatively brief. I purchased the car on Ebay in stock form in November 2011. The car originally had a Salvage title due to it being in an Accident on the front right corner of the car. However when I purchased the car all the damage had been repaired and the car had been Repainted. Which is why the car looks virtually brand new. When I received the car I had the full intention of making it a race car. So I began Stripping the interior and getting it ready for the Roll Cage. It was then sent to Chris Childs at Angry Sheep Motorsports. He has built a lot of excellent performing race cars and knew he would do an excellent job. After He had the car I gave him the go ahead to finish the car and turn it into a race car. He installed the roll cage, suspension, setup, and all the safety on the car. Overall this Vehicle is an excellent car, very safe and relatively fast. I used the car to take my drivers School at Waterford Hills Race Track, and Have had it out at Gingerman Raceway for a track day. It has also competed in two full SCCA Sprint Races at Grattan Raceway. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me. Below you will see a list of the modifications done to the car. I probably have forgotten some as well but this is the general condition.

BMW looking to fix i3 acceleration problem uncovered by Consumer Reports

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

The BMW i3 has been hailed in some quarters as the future of electric mobility, what with its innovative carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic body and commitment to sustainable materials wherever possible. The modernist little hatch is even available with a 650cc two-cylinder gas engine with 34 horsepower to act as a range-extender for those who want it. However, that optional engine might have a drawback - at least for the moment.
Consumer Reports brought the problem to light when one of its drivers was behind the wheel of an i3 using the range-extender. When the driver attempted to pass another vehicle on a rolling, two-lane road, the BMW suddenly had no power to accelerate - a scary situation. CR started examining the car and found something pretty shocking: After driving at a constant speed for a while without any regenerative braking in range-extended mode, acceleration to 60 miles per hour plummeted from about 9 seconds normally to a staggering 27 to 40 seconds in their testing.
A BMW spokesperson told CR that it knows about the problem and has a fix coming next spring that also works on current models. The upgrade includes a state of charge indicator, a warning about loss of power and uses the car's navigation to boost the battery before driving on rolling terrain. It is not clear if the severe power deficiency will also eventually result in a recall.

BMW brings burlesque, Warhol, M1 and 6 Series Grand Coupe to Paris Photo LA

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

BMW has worked with Paris Photo for ten years. This year, the photography exposition lands in Paramount Studios in Los Angeles for the first time, and BMW is not only coming with it, the Bavarians are bringing the Art Car that started it all: the 1979 M1 painted by Andy Warhol. For those attending the show, there will also be making-of video of Warhol working on the car - but if you remember the mini lecture that EVO magazine's Henry Catchpole gave on the Art Cars, you'll remember that Warhol finished the car so quickly that the cameraman barely had time to get the film rolling.
With that will also be a series of photos of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe dropped into noir scenes accompanied by burlesque models, all taken by photographer Uwe Düttmann. It's the first time they'll be exhibited at Paris Photo. You can check out a few of them in the high-res gallery above, and there's a press release below with more info.

Next-generation BMW 5 Series spied in Touring trim

Wed, 10 Jul 2013

It almost seems as if BMW just started selling the current-generation 5 Series, yet one of our spy photographers has already spotted a next-generation prototype in Touring form. Little is known about the luxury wagon in this early stage of testing, but it is expected to weigh much less than the current car, which, in 528i Touring guise with an automatic transmission, tips the scale at over 3,800 pounds. It is also expected to have the latest in driver-assistance technology. Despite the weight savings, and judging from the photos, it looks to have proportions similar to the current car, but don't expect the makeshift headlight and taillight clusters to make it onto the production model.
The crucial question for potential Touring customers in the United States is whether BMW will do the unexpected and import it here. The company's track record indicates that it will be sold in Rest of World markets only, but we're hoping that the next 5 Series will end the Touring's U.S. hiatus (and the 5 Series Gran Turismo's reign), which began in 2003 at the end of the E39 generation.
