1988 BMW E30 M3 Thank you for viewing my auction. Up for sale is a original 1988 BMW E30 M3 coupe. I flew down to Alabama and drove this car back 950 miles to NJ, she runs great! The car is finished in Lachssilber-Metallic code 203/7. The mileage is 148,140. The history of the car is clean 2 owners with no accidents. This is a 100% stock car with no modifications, the way it should be. Condition- Mechanically the car runs great. The engine runs very smoothly no issues. The clutch operates great and grabs no problem, and the transmission shifts well. All electronics work, even the trip computer pixels read fine! The A/C blows ice cold. The car was repainted at some point. There are spots around the vehicle where the clear coat is peeling. There is peeling on the hood, roof, C pillar on the passenger side, and the top of the deck lid and a small crack in the paint on the rear spoiler. The front seats are sun faded, but not torn. The rear seat is in great shape, the leather is still soft. The headliner is in good shape and is not torn or sagging. The dash has cracks which is common on these. I have all the original books for the car, and tons of records. I have part of the original window sticker, and the original purchase order from 1987! 2015 BMW i8: Autoblog Technology of the Year finalist

Traditionally, nominations for the Autoblog Technology of the Year award are earned for specific developments - a new-think powertrain, a uniquely developed material, a groundbreaking smartphone app, or what have you. In the case of BMW's marvelous i8, it so bristles with novel applied sciences and fresh features that we broke with tradition and nominated the entire car.
We just couldn't help ourselves. Oh, we could've focused on the i8's carbon-fiber monocoque, or its well-resolved plug-in-hybrid powertrain that incorporates a tiny 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and an electric motor, or its seamless through-the-road all-wheel drive. This is a car that will even have frickin' laser beams for headlights - at least it will for our friends in Europe (and it will in the US, should our legislators ever catch up).
Petrolicious carves up the road with a pumpkin-colored BMW 2002
Wed, Nov 25 2015Sometimes the best way to learn a skill the right way is to completely screw things up the first time. Carter Kelly Kramer figured out that lesson during years of restoration work on his 1976 BMW 2002. What he lacked in talent, Kramer made up with dogged perseverance until he had the pumpkin-colored BMW in this week's video from Petrolicious. The problems started the moment Kramer bought the 2002 on eBay. It turned out to have rotten floors, no brakes, and plenty of other issues. However, Kramer was 16 and thought he could fix everything that was wrong. It was long repair process with a multitude of problems. Kramer even briefly sold the car. Kramer's tenacity eventually resulted in the orange 2002 that he has today. After all the work, the classic BMW is now far from stock, but the mods express Kramer's dream for the car.
