Reserved Lowered - Bmw 635csi - Must Go on 2040-cars
Wanaque, New Jersey, United States
*****************************************************************************************RESERVED LOWERED************************************************************************************** I posted this vehicle about a week ago and to my surprise the reserved was not met (clearly I expected to much), as such - the RESERVE HAS BEEN LOWERED!!!!!!!!!! This vehicle is one of the nicest posted here in a LOoooong time! I am the 2nd owner (car fax show 4 and here is why: 1st owner traded into a dealer who became the 2nd owner; I purchased the car from the dealer making me 3rd owner; in an effort to lower my insurance premium I turned title over to my dad subsequently he appears as the 4th owner (title is in my hands). So....technically history shows 4 owners but realistically I am the 2nd owner. Moving on....As you can see by the picutures the car is MINT, as stated in my previous listing I have EVERY single receipt for this car from new and up to current (this folks is unheard of). The car has Style 5 staggered wheels (reps) with all new rubber / she has a new custom exhaust front to back / she also has a new Alpine head unit with USB and aux hook-up for free listening of any music device preference / new Alpine speakers in the kicker panels / new swivel Alpine tweeters in the door / new 3 way Alpine speaker in the rear deck (all in factory settings so nothing has been cut) / the car is also pre-wired for an amplifier - so as you could imagine it sounds amazing!!!! FOLKS THIS IS ALL OFFERED AT AN UNREALISTIC LOW RESERVE!!! I will answer any/all questions promptly and in details / I'd be happy to put anyone in touch with my mechanic who can verify all work done since my ownership. as well as to confirm the car has no issues. I encourage ANYONE to come look and/or test drive this classic to put any may have concerns at rest! Now that the weather has about finally turned over the car will be enjoyed thus mileage will be different then as noted here. The car does have a "bean" size piece of rust directly in front of the passenger rear wheel well (I can send pix) / also the cruise control is temper-mental (works 90% of the time and not sure why not the other 10%), These days data of any sort on any purchase(s) is key - it is not often you see one with full history - mine posted here has prove of ownership and maintenance. Additionally, scan here or any other site and I guarantee you will be hard pressed to find such an example so documented and clean at this ridiculously low reserve! Cleary the car is used so as such, no warranty associated. Buyer assumes all responsibilities and cost for shipping (obviously pick up is free of charge). If you require anything further ie pictures/descriptions/explanations/etc. please DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME (I can provide a number for direct contact, inbox/message me). Don't let this one get away, GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!! |

BMW names new CEO, chairman and head of development
Tue, Dec 9 2014Big changes are afoot in the top ranks at BMW, as the Bavarian automaker has announced not just one, but several appointments in the top floors of its towering headquarters in Munich in what the company itself is referring as "a generational change" in its leadership. The biggest change relates to the chairman of BMW's management board – German-speak for the company's chief executive officer. Effective at the end of the company's Annual General Meeting on May 13, 2015, the company will be run by Harald Kruger. The 49-year-old mechanical engineer has been with BMW since 1992 and has sat on its board since 2008, and has until now been responsible for production for the entire BMW Group. The chairmanship of the board of management currently belongs to Dr. Norbert Reithofer, whom the management is endorsing to chair the supervisory board (which Americans might call the board of directors). That role in turn is currently held by Professor Joachim Milberg, who will step down from his position in order to make way for Reithofer to take his place. Milberg is earmarked to remain with the company to oversee its corporate social responsibility and charitable activities. BMW has also announced the appointment of Klaus Frohlich to serve as its head of development with immediate effect. In his new capacity, Frohlich replaces Dr. Herbert Diess, who in turn has left Munich to take over the Volkswagen passenger car division. Below you'll find statements from both BMW and VW on their new appointments. BMW Group takes steps to initiate a generational change at the head of the Board of Management and Supervisory Board 09.12.2014 - Harald Kruger to become Chairman of the Board of Management in May 2015 - Dr. Norbert Reithofer proposed to succeed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board - Prof. Joachim Milberg to take leading role in the BMW Group's worldwide CSR activities and charitable foundations - Klaus Frohlich appointed to Board of Management with responsibility for Development Munich . At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of BMW AG took the first steps to initiate a generational change at the head of the company's Board of Management and Supervisory Board. Harald Kruger will become Chairman of the Board of Management effective the end of the Annual General Meeting on 13 May 2015. The current Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr. Norbert Reithofer, will be put forward for election to the Supervisory Board at the 2015 Annual General Meeting.
2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is ready for your favorite roads
Mon, 14 Jan 2013We've known about the ins and outs of the lovely BMW M6 Gran Coupe for a while now, but that doesn't mean we weren't happy to see the thing in the metal for the first time, here in Detroit.
The M-tuned Gran Coupe utilizes the same 4.4-liter forced-induction V8 that powers both the BMW M6 and the M5, with an output of 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The fast four-door brings up 60 miles per hour in just 4.1-seconds - the same sprint time as the M6 coupe and a few tenths quicker than the M5 - and up to a limited top speed of 155 mph.
We love those performance figures - this is one new Bimmer that we're amped to get some seat time in - though we're not super crazy about the selection of chrome wheels on this particular show car. Tells us what you think about the hotted up Gran Coupe in comments, below.
Five reasons to love, or hate, the culture of German cars
Thu, Mar 5 2015A few months back, we took a 500-foot view of the culture of American cars, dissecting prides and prejudices on our way to the conclusion that automotive allegiances can be simultaneously embraced and derided. We had so much fun with the narrative that we decided to do it again, this time taking a look at Germany and its world-renowned lineup of automakers, including the likes of Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen, among others. Join us below as we discuss the points and counterpoints that make or have made the German auto industry what it is today. And remember, Germany did pretty much invent the automobile, after all... The V12 Engine If America is known for the proliferation of the V8 engine, an argument could be made that Germany owns the V12. Yes, of course, other companies have created V12 engines – Ferrari, Jaguar and Lamborghini immediately come to mind – but the big 12-cylinder powerplants from BMW and Mercedes-Benz, in particular, have proven to be some of the most effortless, luxurious and downright over-built engines the world has ever seen. These days, having 12 cylinders is more a case of wretched excess than ever before, and yet, you can still stroll into your local BMW or Mercedes dealership and get a brand-new 760i, S600 or even an over-the-top G65 AMG, efficiency be damned. Best of all, since the majority of these German powerhouses depreciate as fast as an anchor sinks, nearly any auto enthusiast who dreams of a dozen cylinders can satisfy their carnal desires. Current Star: 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 View 28 Photos Diesel Engines Remember how we talked about those glorious V12 engines? Well, you can even get one from Audi that runs on diesel. If your compression-ignition fantasies err more on the side of fuel savings, that's no problem, either. Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen have got you covered, with engines starting as small as 800 cubic centimeters (Smart Fortwo). If you want something a little more practical, it's hard to argue with a VW Golf TDI, which will provide plenty of space for you and three of your best friends, plus a fair bit of luggage, all while returning 50-ish miles per gallon. For the purposes of this discussion, we'd rather focus on the asinine levels of torque provided by Germany's high-end diesel engines than the lower-end fuel sippers.
