THIS CAR IS LOCATED IN WASHINGTON DC AREA...JUST A BUS OR TRAIN RIDE AWAY, I WILL WORK WITH OUT OF STATE BUYERS.

#####I just had front and back pads, rotors, sensors and front toe rods all replaced 1/21/14!!!!!.

I originally bought this car from a family member who lives in Las Vegas and is co-owner of a very large insurance company there. So this car has spent it's entire life on the west coast. I have only owned the car for about 10 months and the only reason I'm considering selling is bc my wife and I are expecting our first baby at the end of January so I need a 4 door vehicle. I will take trades but only if your car has a trade in value of a least $26,000.

This 650 is a dream to drive and rides perfect. This is my third 650i, and I have never once had any problems with any of them. The factory warranty still goes till 50k as well. I just had front and back pads, rotors, sensors and front toe rods all replaced 1/21/14!!!!!. Along with that I did oil and all fluids. I have all service records and maintenance for the car, as well as the carfax report which also shows all maintenance on there.

I have taken into consideration that this car was involved in a accident so I have reduced the car greatly due to that and also the fact that I need to sell/trade the car as soon as possible. This car is fully loaded with every option available from BMW in 2008 so kbb.com has my cars value at $35,495 with 49,000 miles and fully loaded. Which if you look online that's the price this car with this Milage will be going for. I have taken 30% off that kbb value which puts my asking price right around $26,500 which is a steal for this car. But I'm looking for a quick sale so I'm willing to take the loss, title is in hand for new owner. I am trying to have the title cleared but it will most likely come with a R title.

If you run the carfax for yourself you will see that it shows accident/salvage history due to a very minor hit to the front drivers side " deer " (fender, bumper, and headlight were all replaced with OEM BMW parts). No frame or structural damage and the air bags never even deployed bc the car wasn't going fast enough and the damage was so minimal. The total to fix this car was only around $6,000 which the most expensive parts were the OEM headlight, bumper and fender. This is the reason I bought this car from my uncle in the first place.. I have all paperwork and info regarding this for the car. . . I just want to be honest and upfront with everyone. I have priced the car $10,000 less than blue book value just bc of this small accident and b/c I don't have the time to nickel and dime with people. I am selling the car for honestly what I bought it for "family hook-up" plus the shipping. So please take advantage bc I need it gone ASAP or my wife will kill me...

Thanks to smaller engines, vehicle dependability falls for first time in 16 years

Fri, Feb 14 2014

As automakers have made engines smaller and smaller to improve fuel economy, problems in those vehicles have gotten bigger and bigger. That's the synopsis of a J.D. Power vehicle-dependability study, which found that dependability dropped for the first time in 16 years, largely because the proliferation of four-cylinder engines is causing the vehicles to be less reliable. Specifically, the number of problems per 100 vehicles (or what J.D. Power calls PP100) during the past 12 months for 2011 model-year vehicles rose six percent from the year-earlier figures for 2010 model-year cars. Singling out four-cylinder vehicles revealed about a 10-percent increase in problems during the past year. This issues largely related to engine hesitation, rough transmission shifting and lack of power, signaling the inability of vehicle makers to iron out some of the problems in their smaller engines as they strove for better fuel economy. Six- and five-cylinder engines proved far more reliable. Among car brands, BMW's Mini sub-brand came out as least reliable, with 185 problems per 100 vehicles during the past year. Toyota's Lexus badge was easily the most reliable, with just 68 problems per 100 vehicles. Coming in second place was Mercedes-Benz. The overall average was 133. Check out J.D. Power's press release below. J.D. Power Reports: Increased Engine and Transmission Problems Contribute to Decline in Vehicle Dependability for The First Time in More Than 15 Years General Motors Company Receives Eight Segment Awards, While Toyota Motor Corporation Garners Seven and Honda Motor Company Earns Six WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.: o Owners of 3-year-old vehicles (2011 model year) report more problems than did owners of 3-year-old vehicles last year, according to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Vehicle Dependability StudySM (VDS) released today. The study, now in its 25th year, examines problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of 2011 model-year vehicles. Overall dependability is determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score reflecting higher quality. The study finds that overall vehicle dependability averages 133 PP100, a 6 percent increase in problems from 126 PP100 in 2013. This marks the first time since the 1998 study that the average number of problems has increased. "Until this year, we have seen a continual improvement in vehicle dependability," said David Sargent, vice president of global automotive at J.D.

Jeremy Clarkson names 10 worst cars for 2015 and 2016

Wed, Aug 24 2016

When Jeremy Clarkson, outspoken automotive journalist, ex- Top Gear host, and co-host on The Grand Tour, drives a car he doesn't like he doesn't pull his punches. As Jezza harshly puts it, cars shouldn't just be a form of transportation. These 10 cars made Clarkson's "the terrible 10" list on his column in The Sunday Times for lacking imagination and not giving the journalist "the Fizz," which his list of top 10 cars did. In typical Clarkson fashion, the list is controversial. Some of the cars on Clarkson's list have received praise from other outlets, which shouldn't really come as a surprise since he usually goes against the majority's opinion. Nonetheless, there's at least one car that will catch you off guard. To get a glimpse at Clarkson's reviews and the entire list of cars, head over to his column in The Sunday Times. 10 automakers sued over keyless ignitions

Thu, Aug 27 2015

Keyless ignition has rapidly proliferated throughout the auto industry to become a fairly normal feature on new cars. It's supposed to offer the convenience of keeping the fob in your pocket and just pressing a button to drive away. However, ten major automakers are now being sued in US District Court over claims that the system is dangerous, Reuters reports. The suit alleges that people are forgetting to shut off the engine, and the lack of an idle timer is the cause for 13 deaths by carbon monoxide poisoning and multiple injuries. The suit currently includes 28 plaintiffs, according to Reuters, but the lawyers are asking for class-action status to potentially add many more. The case goes after a major swath of the industry, including BMW, Daimler, FCA, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen, plus their related brands like Acura, Infiniti, Mini, and Lexus. In all, over five million vehicles are affected. The assertion here is that people walk away from their vehicle without shutting it off because they believe the engine shuts off automatically. If parked in a garage, carbon monoxide can build up, leading to poisoning. The lawyers claim automakers know this is a problem and also cite 27 complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the issue, according to Reuters. The plaintiffs are asking for an automatic shut-off and damages from the companies. These concerns have come up before, though. Toyota previously faced a lawsuit over a carbon monoxide death after a woman accidentally left her Lexus running. Also earlier this year, GM recalled 64,186 examples of the 2011-2013 Chevrolet Volt because owners weren't shutting them off. The problem resulted in two injuries, and the company released a software update to limit the idling time.
