Shawnee, Kansas, United States
This one owner 650i was just traded by it's car enthusiast owner in outstanding original condition. The MSRP was $90,320. This car was garaged either in his Kansas City garage or his Naples Florida garage depending on the season. Even driving during the winter in Florida, he only managed to average 6,000 miles a year, now that is babying your car. Naturally it has a Certified Clean Carfax with no accident history. The Mineral Silver Metallic is just breath taking beautiful and still looks and shines like it did when it was picked up new and does not have any dings or dents. The Cream Beige Dakota Leather looks equally as new and there is not one wear mark in the leather. You have to wonder where did they sit when they drove this car. No one has ever smoked in this car and it still smells fresh and new. The Goodyear Eagle tires have been well taken care and have lots of tread left and are mounted on flawless alloy aluminum wheels, didn't even have to have the wheel guy fix them. All service was performed at the KC or Naples BMW dealer. Have 2 Comfort Access keys and all owners manuals. This Bimmer not only looks good but it drives and handles like new. Would be happy to arrange to have the 650 delivered to your front door or pick you up at the Kansas City airport so you can drive your new car home letting the Navigation guide you, as you listen to your XM Satellite Radio, talking on your Bluetooth phone and your hair is blowing in the wind. It just don't get better than that! This car maybe purchased anytime prior to the end of the listing, CALL RON 913-707-8111 for details.

BMW starts Apple-like "Genius" program to explain tech
Wed, 20 Feb 2013Even workaday cars are so capable now that even most auto scribes don't truly find out about a car's limits until a professional driver shows them what they are. It's the same with a vehicle's suite of features and the technology inside - there's so much of it that most people will have no idea what their cars can offer them. BMW is the latest company to make a personal effort to change that, introducing "young, tech-savvy employees" to dealerships as part of its "BMW Genius Everywhere" initiative.
Having no part in the actual sale of a vehicle, a BMW Genius is present on the showroom floor only to answer questions about the company's products and their features. If the customer decides to buy, he is transferred to a salesperson. A pilot program in the UK proved its effectiveness, it will now be rolled out across Europe and then come to the United States toward the end of this year in time for the launch of the i3. Details are still being worked out, but each BMW dealer will have at least one Genius.
For assistance that doesn't require visiting the auto mall, BMW is also putting vehicle and feature tutorials on its US website to "make our knowledge about our brand more interesting and more accessible to the consumer." They will appear online sometime in the latter half of the year, and will also be bundled into iPhone and iPad apps.
BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe blows the doors back on [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014BMW sure seems to take pleasure in confusing the hell out of us. It used to be pretty simple: if you wanted a compact Bimmer, you had to look no further than the 3 Series. Then it was just a matter of which bodystyle you wanted. But the smaller end of BMW's lineup has gotten more complicated lately. Never mind the 1 Series and 2 Series (in their various iterations) that have slotted in below it - now the 3 Series has been split in two: Want a four-door, get the new 3 Series. Want a two-door, the 4 Series is your address. Right?
Almost. Because now there's a 4 Series Gran Coupe that keeps the two-door's roofline (or some approximation of it) but adds an extra set of doors in the back, thereby bridging the gap between the 3 Series sedan and 4 Series coupe. And it's just made its public debut here at the Geneva Motor Show.
The difference between this and the two-door 4 Series is plain to see: it's got two extra doors. But what's the difference between this and the 3 Series sedan? About two or three grand, to start with - depending on which version (428i Gran Coupe or 435i Gran Coupe) you choose. But it's also sleeker, more muscular and altogether that extra bit sexier. Which is a good trait, as you can see from our gallery of live shots above, to have in your European sports sedan, coupe, or whatever you want to call it.
BMW to follow Honda back into F1?
Mon, 14 Apr 2014The economic downturn wrought devastating effects on motor racing. Formula One alone lost half its engine suppliers when Honda left at the end of the 2008 season, and both BMW and Toyota followed at the end of 2009. But things are looking up again. Cosworth may have dropped out this season, reducing the engine suppliers to three: Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes, the latter of which admits that it may have left had the engine formula not changed. But Mercedes has stayed and is dominating the championship. Honda is coming back next season. And word around the paddock is it may not be the only one.
According to Giancarlo Minardi - founder of the team now known as Scuderia Toro Rosso - BMW engineers have been conspicuously spotted lately at F1 test sessions and grands prix, lending to speculation that the new engine regulations may entice the Bavarian automaker back into the series. According to Minardi, BMW's marketing division is pushing for the automaker's return to F1, with the board slated to make a decision in May. BMW would be more likely to consider an engine-supply deal rather than taking a team over like it had with Sauber, but with which team or teams it might collaborate remains a big question mark at this point.
As if that's not enough, Ford is said to be considering taking over Cosworth's aborted V6 turbo engine program to take both outfits back into the sport as well. Cosworth supplied F1 engines under the Ford banner for years, but returned under its own name for four seasons from 2010 through 2013 before shuttering its program to develop an engine to meet the new regulations adopted this season.
