2012 Bmw 650i Convertible, 100k Cpo Warranty,great Options, $105k, 19k, Wow!!! on 2040-cars
Urbana, Illinois, United States
This is my absolutely stunning 2012 BMW 650i Convertible. It is finished in gorgeous Deep Sea Blue Metallic with Ivory White Nappa Leather interior and Black convertible top. It is powered by a 4.4 liter, 32 valve 400 horsepower Twin Turbo V-8. The original list price of this fine automobile was $105,275.
In addition to the long list of standard features this car has the following options:
Very few of these cars came equipped with Integral Active Steering and Active Roll Stabilization. These 2 options make this car ride and handle like an absolute dream! EXISTING FACTORY WARRANTY This car is covered by the BMW Factory 4-year/50,000 mile warranty until August 1, 2015 or 50,000 miles. All scheduled maintenance is also covered until August 1, 2015 or 50,000 miles. BMW CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WARRANTY This car is also covered by the BMW 6-year/100,000 mile Certified Pre-Owned Warranty until August 1, 2017 or 100,000 miles! That gives you a total of 3 more years or 80,000 more miles of BMW warranty coverage! The BMW CPO Warranty is honored at ANY BMW dealer. There are absolutely no issues with this car. The CarFax report is clean and shows no accidents or other losses. All service is up to date and the car needs nothing! The car will come complete with owner's manual, 2 original smart keys, carpeted floor mats, BMW all-weather floor mats and original window sticker. I absolutely love this car but my needs have changed and find that I now need a larger sedan. Please feel free to make me an offer and I'll do my best to work with you to make a deal. The title is a clear Illinois title. I have a loan on the car with BMW Financial so the title is in their possession. If the buyer is a cash buyer the loan balance can be sent directly to BMW Financial to secure release of lien and title with the remainder of the purchase price paid to me. If the buyer is financing the car, the buyer's financial institution will most likely want to work directly with BMW Financial to pay off the loan. There may be other options to complete the sale also, I'm flexible. Buyer will be responsible for picking up the car in Central Illinois or making shipping arrangements. I would be willing to deliver the car for fuel cost and a plane ticket home. I can even deliver the car a shorter distance for no additional charge. Again, I'm willing to work with you. The car will not be delivered or shipped until the purchase price is paid in full. As a private seller I will not collect any sales tax or registration fees. The buyer will pay these fees when the car is registered to the new owner. Some states have a reduced or no tax at all for a private (non-dealer) sale. If you would like to come look at the car just let me know. I'm in Champaign-Urbana Illinois and am readily available to show the car. If you have questions, please let me know and I will respond promptly. Thanks for looking and good luck! Please be sure to scroll through all 12 photos. I will consider all offers, and might even be interested in trades. This is a great no-issues car and will try to work out a deal. Thanks! |

VW Golf R pitted against BMW M235i in enthusiast's choice battle
Fri, 15 Aug 2014Most people don't have two, open spots in their garage to fit a practical daily driver and a fire-breathing performance car for the weekends. That's what makes vehicles like the latest Volkswagen Golf R and BMW M235i just about perfect for the average person. Both of these Germans can lope around as a commuter 90 percent of the time and be perfectly comfortable. However, when you want to walk in the door with a big smile on your face, you can take the back roads home and get a real thrill from them.
In his latest short video, Chris Harris from Drive tests these surprisingly comparable German performance cars. Both of them offer buyers in the neighborhood of 300 horsepower, with the BMW winning out with 320 hp. However, the Golf R gets standard all-wheel drive, which is now an option on the M235i. Harris has quite positive things to say about these Europeans, but you're going to have to watch the video to hear just what he thinks.
BMW already considering four cylinders for next M3
Tue, 13 May 2014The cylinder count in BMW's M3 has fluctuated over the years. The original M3 debuted in 1985 packing a 2.3-liter inline-four, but subsequent models went with sixes until the outgoing generation upped the cylinder count to eight. With its latest model, BMW has dropped back to six cylinders with a pair of turbos taking the place of the extra pistons. But the next M3 sedan and M4 coupe could go back to the model line's roots with a four-cylinder engine.
Speaking with BMW M product manager Carsten Pries at the launch of the latest M3 and M4 in Portugal, our Aussie compatriots at Motoring.com.au report that "you could see a future [M3] powered by a four-cylinder engine." Offsetting the reduction in cylinders, the lighter engine would benefit the vehicle's weight and balance, thus enhancing performance.
We wouldn't expect the next M3 and M4 to lose any power in the process, though: Output in the M3 has only risen over the generations, from 192 horsepower in the four-pot original to 282 hp in the six-cylinder E36, 338 hp in the six-cylinder E46, 414 hp in the V8 E90 and 425 ponies in the new turbocharged six-cylinder F80 model. With that latter model having just debuted, it'll likely be a good six or seven years before the next version comes along, giving BMW plenty of time to settle on an engine - however many cylinders and turbochargers it has. In the meantime, you'll have to forgive us for taking a romp down M3 memory lane in the fresh gallery of images above.
BMW reclaims US luxury sales crown from Mercedes
Tue, Jan 6 2015The numbers, they are in: BMW has reclaimed the luxury-sales crown from Mercedes by a margin of 9,347 cars. Mercedes donned the king's headgear in 2013 after a strong final quarter of 2013 when the new CLA and S-Class poured out of dealerships. This year, led by the 3 Series/4 Series and X5, BMW sold 339,738 units – a 9.8-percent increase year-on-year. Mercedes, led by the C-Class and M-Class, saw its sales go up by 5.7 percent to 330,391 units. We'll have to wait a bit to see if there's another registrations-vs-sales challenge as in 2012, when BMW was anointed US luxury ruler. Behind them, a dark horse named Lexus nudged closer to the leading Teutons, selling 311,389 cars. The Japanese luxury automaker also had the biggest gain among the top three, its sales rising by 13.7 percent compared to 2013. Audi had the biggest sales of anyone among the top five, though, with a 15.2-percent gain to 182,011, which moved it a spot ahead of Cadillac; the Wreath-and-Crest brand dropped 6.5 percent to 170,750. Acura (167,843), Infiniti (117,300), and Lincoln (94,474) took the final positions. Speaking of Lincoln, sales at the once-mighty luxury marque stand as the mightiest jump of any on this list, up 15.6 percent. That's the power of Matthew McConaughey... and better cars and a new crossover, sure. So now that we're back to Round One of 2015, in case no one else has said it yet: "Ok, fight!"
