1985 BMW 635 CSi

The item you are bidding on is a 1985 BMW 635CSi. The car is colored black, with a black leather interior.

I just bought a 1988 BMW M6 which has forced me to sell this car. I have owned this car since 2005 and regret selling it but I have always wanted an M6.

About the car -

The car was purchased new in 1985 in Hunington Beach, California by an orthopedic surgeon. As best as I can tell from the records I have, I am the fifth owner. When I bought the car in2005, it had 174,000 miles on it, I have used it as a second car, not driving it much in the winter. Anyone familiar with this engine will not be deterred by the miles as it has less then 10,000 per year, and this engine is notoriously bomb-proof.

The car is a 3 speed automatic transmission, but the addition of a racing Dynamics performance chip does wonders in not only waking up the engine itself, but also makes the transmission more potent than it normally would be.

Perhaps a quick bit about what isn't perfect about the car.  The front end and exterior rear view mirrors have the typical chips in the paint, the rest of the paint is 85%.  Obviously, no rust at all, with a few dings and blemishes.  The driver side door lock keyhole cover is missing, however it is an aesthetic annoyance more than anything else and can be replaced. The drivers side window tint is scraped slightly on the inside of the car. The drivers side rear window needs a new motor.  I never replaced it because I never lower that window.

The car is mechanically sound.  It has been cared for at one shop the entire time I have owned the car. Transmission is sound, engine is strong, it has recently been smogged, I am the owner.

BMW 1 Series with B38 three-cylinder engine

Downsizing For BMW's Front-Wheel-Drive And i Futures
Output is quoted at 175 horsepower and BMW says it will hit 62 mph in 7.0 seconds.
The red five-door BMW 1 Series seen in this photo gallery has little to do with what is actually of importance here. What we've just tested at an airfield not far from Munich, Germany, is a new 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo inline three-cylinder gas engine that we'll be hearing an awful lot about in the coming few years.

Is this the new BMW 7 Series?

Mon, Jun 8 2015

Autocar has stumbled upon what appears to be the first uncovered photo of the next-generation BMW 7 Series. It looks like the real deal, and we'll know for sure on June 10, when the 2016 model is officially revealed. This image allegedly appeared on a BMW configurator, and has since been taken down. According to Autocar, the new 7 Series will come in 730d, 740i, and 750i trims (in Europe, anyway), with or without xDrive all-wheel drive. BMW already released a few details about its new 7 Series. We know that the new car will be nearly 290 pounds lighter than its predecessor, and will feature gesture control technology and an LCD display key. We're sure BMW has a whole lot more in store for its new flagship, so check back later this week for the full helping of details.

Electrified BMW X1 spotted testing

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

So here's something interesting. This might look like an ordinary BMW X1, but take a closer glance - those stickers on the side read "hybrid test vehicle," and around back, there doesn't appear to be a tailpipe at all. But does this mean that BMW is working on a straight-up all-electric version of its smallest crossover? Let's hypothesize for a moment.
Just because we can't see a tailpipe in these photographs doesn't mean there isn't one somewhere under there. And while those hybrid stickers are an indication that there's some sort of electrification going on underhood, it could just be for a forthcoming gasoline-electric version of the X1. Lexus recently confirmed it would be bringing a small hybrid CUV to market that will compete in the X1's space, so perhaps BMW is working on another powertrain option to offer when its littlest crossover gets refreshed.
Also consider that Toyota collaborated with Tesla to bring back the RAV4 EV, which would sort of compete with the X1, so it also stands to reason that perhaps this is an early test mule for a larger all-electric vehicle in the upcoming, eco-minded BMW i range. Our spies seem pretty confident that the prototype seen here is indeed an all-out EV, but we just can't say with certainty without more evidence.
