OVERALL THIS CAR IS IN IN GREAT SHAPE.  MY NAME IS CHRIS SANDER AND MY SISTER IS THE OWNER OF THIS CAR.  THERE IS A LEIN ON IT AT A LOCAL BANK AND THE CAR CAN BE PAID OFF AND HAVE TITLE IN HAND WITH 3 BUSINESS DAYS NOTICE.  THE REASON FOR SELLING THIS CAR IS WE SIMPLY HAVE TO MANY AND WE ARE MAKING ROOM.
THIS M6 IS IN PRISTINE CONDITION (EXCEPT FOR A FEW VERY MINOR THINGS I WILL EXPLAIN TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THIS DESCRIPTION)  THE CAR HAS A LITTLE OVER 39K MILES AND HAS BEEN GARGE KEPT.  THE CARE WAS PURCHASED FROM A BMW DEALER CERTIFIED AND ESSENTIALLY LOOKS BRAND NEW.  THIS CAR HAS BEEN KEPT METICULOUSLY WELL CLEANED AND MAINTAINED.  THERE ARE NO  REAL WEAR MAKES ANYWHERE ON THIS CAR.  THE NEXT SERVICE DUE IS 15,000MILES AWAY.  YOU WILL NEED TO DO NOTHING TO OWN THIS CAR. ITS CLEAN, ITS FUELED UP, ITS SERVICED WITH A BOBBY RAHAL BMW DOCUMENTED CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH.  NEVER ANY ACCIDENTS TOTALLY STRAIGHT AND CLEAN.

CONS: ONE WHEEL HAS A SLIGHT BIT OF WHAT I WOULD CALL CORROSION NEAR THE BMW CENTER CAP - IT IS PICTURED AND I AM POINTING AT IT WITH A WHITE GLOVE ON.  I AM NOT SURE HOW OR WHY CONSIDERING THIS CARE HAS NEVER BEEN OUTSIDE IN BAD WEATHER.  (IT MIGHT BE A WARRANTY I DON'T KNOW)
THERE IS A MARK ONTOP OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND A SLIGHT MARK ON TOP OF THE GEAR SHIFTER - THEY ARE SO SLIGHT THAT A PICTURE WOULD NOT EVEN SHOW THEM SO OBVIOUSLY THERE IS NO PICTURE OF THEM BUT THEY ARE THERE.  THE AVERAGE PERSON WOULD NOT EVER NOTICE THEM BUT WHAT AVERAGE PERSON OWNS AN M6.

The importance of Angel Eyes, Ventiports and four round taillights

Sun, 01 Sep 2013

Just the other day, we told you about how Lincoln isn't really a luxury brand, according to Ford's head design man, J Mays. His argument was that Lincoln lacked the unique DNA to differentiate it from the rest of the market, although the arrival of the MKZ is beginning to change that. Now, we have this video from Autoline Detroit, where Jim Hall, an analyst for 2953 Analytics who was quoted in yesterday's Lincoln story, explains the influence of certain styling cues and how they impact the brands.
Using BMW (Angel Eyes) and Buick (Ventiports) as examples for small, simple touches that serve to distinguish the brand's vehicles on the road, Hall then points out how changing trademark styling features, as Chevrolet has done on the new Corvette Stingray, can hurt the vehicle's public perception. Take a look at the full video below for an interesting dive into what these styling features mean to their individual brands.

BMW Films are on the way back [w/videos]

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

The BMW Films series caused a stir in 2001 and 2002 by combining top-quality cinematography, Hollywood names and driving excitement to sell its sporty wares in a whole new way. By arriving five years before YouTube, they ranked as some of the earliest viral videos on the internet. By now, these sorts of films are almost commonplace, but back when BMW hit upon the idea, the idea of brand-integrated short films on the internet was still a novelty. Now, for the first time in over a decade, the German automaker is planning on bringing back BMW Films for a new season.
Trudy Hardy, BMW North America Vice President of Marketing, announced the series' return at the 2014 Automotive News World Congress in Detroit, according to Ad Age. However, neither the German brand nor Anonymous Content, the original production company, have been willing to comment further on when the new videos are coming.
The original series of eight films starred Clive Owen as the Driver (back then, Owen was largely unknown to American audiences), a mercenary who would take a variety of jobs and always drive a BMW. David Fincher executive produced the first season and directors included top names like John Frankenheimer, Ang Lee and Guy Ritchie. All of the second season movies had Owen driving a Z4, but in our estimation, the quality had fallen off a bit compared to the outstanding first season.

Meet the inventor of the BMW 3 Series wagon

Sat, 11 May 2013

It's hard to imagine, but once upon a time, there were only two BMW 3 Series variants: the coupe and sedan. Back before gran coupes, convertibles and yes, even touring models were available, buyers could only get their 3 Series fix if it came with two or four doors and a fixed roof. Back in the mid '80s, BMW engineer Max Reisbock was having some trouble fitting his whole family into his four door. Rather than suck it up and buy a van, he picked up a wrecked 3 Series and got to cutting in a buddy's garage. Months later, he had the very first 3 Series Touring ever built.
At first, he kept the the car to himself, using it to haul friends and family around, but he eventually showed it off to his friends at work. When the BMW executives found out about his project, they called him up to take a closer look. After putting an eyeball on the car, they took it, copied his design, made a few tweaks and quickly rolled out the first production 3 Series Touring. How's that for validation? Check out the video below for Reisbock's story.
