1988 BMW 635 CSi VIN: WBAEC8416J3266389 This vehicle is a part of my classic collection which I am currently reducing due to relocation to a smaller property with less indoor storage. I am the second owner and since I have owned it, I have done the necessary repairs and made lots of improvements to the vehicle. The paint is a bronzet color, not tan or champagne and there are no visible dings or dents on the car, the body is very straight and solid. Since this car is originally from Southern California, there is absolutely no rust on it. The car runs very smooth and strong. I fixed any defects known to myself and my mechanic. The recent SMOG test results are available and could be the best evidence of this car's good engine performance. The car is currently registered as well. I have put so many new parts on this car including: catalytic converter, plugs, abs and many more. All gauges, everything electrical such as power windows and locks are functioning well. Original leather interior is still in good shape with no tears or rips and rare speaker pods are in good shape as well. (Please see pictures) Trunk is in new condition and includes the original never used spare tire. BMW i1 EV rumored, based on electric Mini
Tue, Apr 10 2018With just two BMW i cars currently available — and aging — we've been hankering to know what new EVs are coming down the pipeline for the Bavarian automaker. We've had news of the iNext and i4, caught wind of an iX3, and as BMW is in the early stages of a large electrification push, there has been a multitude of "i"-prefaced trademarks registered. The next we can expect, if the rumors from Spanish outlet Motor.es are to be believed, will be a diminutive i1 EV, based on the same platform as an upcoming electric Mini Cooper. As such, it would share the electric Mini's front-drive/front-motor configuration — previewed on the Mini Electric Concept, shown above, that debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. It stands to reason that the i1 would be smaller than the high-roofed i3, possibly borrowing the five-door hatchback format from the 1 Series sold in Europe (which would be a long-awaited dream come true if it made its way to the United States). The electric car would be about a foot shorter than the 1 series, though, according to the report, at about 158 inches long. It would be built on an electric version of BMW modular UKL platform. Keep in mind, the BMW i1 is just a rumor at this point, with Motor.es keeping its sources unnamed. If true, though, it could replace the i3 in BMW's lineup five years from now, in 2023. 2014 BMW 320i
Tue, 24 Dec 2013When BMW switched its entry level 3 Series, the 328i, from a naturally aspirated, 3.0-liter six-cylinder to a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder, we weren't entirely sure what to think. Sure, from a pure numbers perspective, the new 2.0-liter cooked the old 3.0's goose, delivering more torque at far more accessible engine speeds while boosting horsepower and fuel economy.
While we miss that revvy six-pot, the numbers for the 2.0 were just way too good to pass up. Then we received news of an even less-powerful 2.0-liter 3 Series - the 320i. This was interesting, as it saw BMW delving into a power level previously owned solely by the anemic Lexus IS 250 and its six-cylinder engine.
Could BMW make a sub-200-horsepower sedan that still drove the way we expected a 3 Series to drive? To find out, we borrowed the new 320i for a week of testing.
