This M635 is exceptionally fast and has all options at the time."

This is my personal 1985 BMW M635 Euro model.   I am a 54 year old professional pilot and have owned many
Mercedes, Porsche, and BMWs.   I consider myself a German car expert and know them well.
I always do my homework and buy the best avaliable.  You will find this M635 in excellent original condition in every way.

This M635 is stock in all ways with the exception of the performance modifications.

I have purchased a Porsche 911 twin turbo and the M635 must sell.  Open to reasonable offers.

Ownership History:
I purchased it 9 months ago from the previous Colorado owner that owned the car for 14 years.
He performed extensive maintenance  and keep all receipts and documentation.

Prior to this owner the car was owned by a doctor in southern Calfifornia.
This doctor completely rebuilt the engine sparing no expense and spending $20,000 plus.

Engine:
The engine has been completely rebuilt.  A prior owner,  a successful doctor, spared no expense on the overhaul.
Stroke and bore were increased to produce 3.89 stroker engine built professionally in San Diego at 90,000 miles.
The new engine includes new billet stroker crank, new high lift cams, ported and polished, larger valves, larger injectors,
new pistons, upgraded headers, 3 inch exhaust, etc. There is complete descrition and documentation on all work done and
parts installed.  I was told the engine is producing near 400hp but there is no dyno test.

Suspension:
H & R springs, Bilstein Sports, lowered slightly.  Drives like a Porsche 911.

Exterior:
The color is black non-metallic and in very nice condition with zero rust.
It can easily be descrided as an 8 of 10.
It looks very nice at any distance.  Very nice shine and match on all panels.

Interior:
The interior is full black Buffalo and in very nice origianal condition.  All leather is soft and in remarkable condition.
The driver seats are special model L Recaros that are larger than the stock seat (see photos).  They are in near museum orginal condition and are thick black Buffalo that is very nice and will please the experience BMW expert.
The driver seat has minor wear on the bolster and needs nothing at this time.
It has factory rear headrests which are rare and make the interior.
The headliner, carpet, door panels are all original and very nice.
The dash does have cracking in 3 spots that is typical unless the dash has been replaced.
I am looking into having this professionally repaired and I do have a dash cover.

I installed  black with silver speck original CoCo mats and are like new.

You will find the interior in exceptional very nice orginal condition needing nothing.

Options:
It is fully loaded with a Pioneer Cd with all new speakers, trip computer, AC, power windows, sunroof.  All work very well.

Wheels and Tires:
17 inch 3 piece HRE alloy wheels and new Sumitomo tires.
All four wheels are in excellent condition and have no curb rash.
The tires are Z rated Sumitomo with 3000 miles since new.  I have had them rotated and are worn evenly all around.

Documentation:
I have a 3 inch and a 1 inch 3 ring binder with the most complete history I have ever seen on any car.
There is so much information, records and documentation with this car that it cannot be posted here.
I will answer any questions by phone or email.  Serious buyers should call.
Complete parts and engineering information included in the documentaion.

Overall this is an excellent example of an original high performance Euro M635 that shows excellent.
It has been garaged its whole life.  You will not be disappointed in any way.
The car needs nothing at this time and is road ready.

SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY BY QUALIFIED BUYERS.

BMW Vision Gran Turismo takes M235i Racing to the virtual extreme [w/videos]

Wed, 14 May 2014

Late last year, Mercedes-AMG worked up a concept car called the Vision Gran Turismo. It presented it at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but that wasn't the point: the point was that it would feature in Gran Turismo 6 on the PlayStation 3. It wasn't the first concept created specifically for the popular driving simulator - following similar projects by Citroën and Red Bull Racing - and as we reported just a month later, it wouldn't be the last. What we have here is the next.
Looking like an even more extreme version of the M235i Racing, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo concept builds on "the tradition of the successful BMW touring cars of the 1970s" in a heart-pumping, if unfortunately strictly virtual form. It's got more extreme aero than the aforementioned M235i Racing and a striking take on the M division's signature light blue, dark blue and red stripe over white livery.
Underneath the digital bonnet sits the same 3.0-liter inline six as the M235i, but pumping out a prodigious (if theoretical) 549 horsepower - far more than the 333 hp in the actual Racing version or the 320 hp in the roadgoing model. Of course BMW has given it an ideal 50:50 front-rear weight distribution and a curb weight of 2,600 lbs - nearly a thousand pounds less than the roadgoing M235i.

Behind the Scenes of BMW's 'Drift Mob,' Part 2 [w/video]

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

After spending four days practicing about a dozen drift stunt moves in a parking lot for an upcoming BMW "Drift Mob" internet mini-film, Rhys Millen, Sam Hübinette, Dai Yoshihara, Rich Rutherford, and Conrad Grunewald are finally ready for show time. We are brought to the huge urban traffic circle to see the stunts performed midway through the day to observe for a couple of hours.
The undertaking is massive, with multiple cameras set up, scores of crew members, a helicopter filming from above, a rigged pickup for car-to-car shots, sidewalks lined with security and plenty of curious onlookers, and oh, yeah, a major intersection of a top world city shut down for an entire weekend.
The five drifting legends are nestled in their identical red BMW M235i coupes, which have been modified with special handbrakes but essentially nothing else you can't get on a stock version, and are listening to direction from director Mic Rodgers and stunt coordinator Riley Harper. We're basically given free rein of the set, to shoot the cars, the drivers, and at one point, even hopping in with Yoshihara for one of the admittedly more tame stunts. Even then, the g-forces are so severe that they flip our cameraphone's video recording from landscape mode to portrait. Yes, this is a pretty cool day to be reporting on cars, and as we said during our first installment of our behind the scenes coverage of Drift Mob, we're honored to be the only US media outlet here to tell the tale.

Driving the Panamera and Mike's Rant | Autoblog Podcast #487

Thu, Sep 8 2016

This week we cover some recent news like the upcoming Land Rover Discovery, updates to FCA's large car platform (including the Challenger), and talk about water injection. Then we go into what we've been driving - David just finished his time in the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mike tried the GMC Acadia. And then Mike (who is still uncomfortable writing in the third person) goes on a rant about why automakers shouldn't specify which cars are aimed at women. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want questionable buying advice, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com.
