NO TITLE TO THIS CAR. I HAVE NO TITLE TO THIS CAR. I HAVE OWNED THIS BMW FOR OVER 7 YEARS. I PURCHASED IT AS A PROJECT CAR THAT I REALIZE THAT I WILL NEVER GET TO. POSITIVES OF CAR ARE AS FOLLOWS : PERFECT BODY. THE CLEAR COAT IS PEELING ALL OVER CAR AND THERE ARE CHIPS IN PAINT BUT THE PANELS ARE STRAIGHT WITH NO SIGNS OF BONDO. HAS A BODY KIT, RECARRO STYLE SEATS, ROLL CAGE, AND ALPINA STYLE WHEELS. THE CAR RAN WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED IT AND I DROVE IT OVER 100 MILES WITH NO SIGNS OF ANY ENGINE PROBLEMS. CAR RAN PERFECT WITH NO LOSS OF POWER OR OVER HEATING. I HAVE THE MISSING CENTER CONSOLE THAT IS SHOWN MISSING IN PICTURES. NEGATIVES ARE AS FOLLOWS: THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT SMOOTH BUT SOMETIMES POPPED OUT OF 3RD GEAR WHEN ACCELERATED, THE TIRES ARE BAD, THE ELECTRICAL WIRING INSIDE IS ALL APART FROM WHEN THEY STOLE THE STEREO, THE DOOR LOCKS WERE DAMAGED WHEN THEY BROKE INTO CAR, THE INSTERMENT CLUSTER IS FROM A TURBO SAAB, THE DASH IS CRACKED, THE DOOR PANEL CAME OFF ONE DOOR BUT HAVE THE PANEL, THINK THE FUEL PUMP STOPPED WORKING BECAUSE I USED A WIRE FROM BATTERY TO PUMP TO GET IT STARTED WHICH WAS OVER 3 YEARS AGO. DOESNT HAVE A BACK SEAT. WAS A SPEAKER BOX. WOULD BE A GREAT PARTS CAR OR IF YOU HAVE A WAY TO TITLE IN YOUR STATE YOU CAN DRIVE IT. |

M-thusiast pops the question at BMW Welt
Tue, 02 Sep 2014We've seen all manner of marriage proposals over the years, but our favorites, of course, revolve around cars. One guy proposed to his girlfriend at a traffic stop, another during an autocross event, while yet another got dozens of Mazda MX-5 owners together to spell "Marry Me?" in Miatas. This latest proposal, however, put the M in Marriage as only a BMW enthusiast could.
While visiting BMW Welt in Munich, Bachir from Lebanon rolled out in a new blue M3 and got down on one knee in front of the gathered crowds to pop the question to Layal, his girlfriend of one year.
We'll let you watch the clip for yourself to see how it went, but suffice it to say that she was delighted. The couple plan to drive to the church in a procession of M cars for what promises to be a high-octane ceremony in their home country.
BMW Concept X5 eDrive plug-in hybrid headed to Frankfurt
Thu, 22 Aug 2013With six confirmed public debuts scheduled for the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW is definitely going to have its hands full. While we've already driven models like the 4 Series and the i3, one of the more interesting introductions is a "concept" plug-in hybrid version of the new F15 BMW X5 called the BMW Concept X5 eDrive.
As the second concept to wear the eDrive name, this X5 combines a 95-horsepower electric motor with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine to balance performance and efficiency. On the green side of things, BMW says that the eDrive system allows the X5 to reach speeds of 75 miles per hour and a range of 19 miles (although we're guessing not at the same time) under electric power only, to go with fuel consumption of about 62 miles per gallon US (3.8 liters per 100 kilometers). For performance, this plug-in can still accelerate from 0-60 in under seven seconds, and drivers can select from three PHEV modes: one that operates the system automatically, an all-electric mode and a Save Battery mode to preserve the battery's current state of charge.
Aside from the obvious plug port on the left front fender, the X5 eDrive is differentiated from the 2014 X5 with slightly restyled front and rear fascias, subtle blue accents tying in with the BMW i line and lightweight, aero-tuned 21-inch alloy wheels. There is no definitive word on whether the Concept X5 eDrive will make it to production, but judging by BMW's recent commitment to plug-in vehicles, we wouldn't be surprised to see an X5 PHEV on the roads within the next couple of years. We'll see the Concept X5 in just a few weeks in Frankfurt, but until then, scroll down for the official press release.
BMW X5 gets full battery of performance visuals
Wed, 12 Feb 2014If you think BMW toned down its third-generation X5 CUV a little too much with its latest redesign, the new M Performance Parts line of optional parts may give you a chance to inject in a new sense of style.
The aesthetic parts include new carbon fiber pieces for the mirror caps, front splitter, rear diffuser and rear aero flaps. There's also a rear spoiler, high-gloss black kidney grilles, M Performance rocker panel decals and double-spoke 21-inch wheels with performance tires. The interior upgrades are similar with an available Alcantara steering wheel with carbon fiber trim, stainless steel pedals and carbon fiber gearshift trim.
Not all of the M Performance Parts are about style. The M Performance Power Kit sharpens throttle response and boosts power of the X5 xDrive35i to 320 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, an improvement of 20 hp and 32 lb-ft, and an optional exhaust with chrome tips improves its sound. For buyers looking for improved stopping power, the M Performance Brake Kit adds six-piston calipers with 19-inch steel rotors.
