Immaculate Bmw E28 535i on 2040-cars
Merritt Island, Florida, United States
This car is a collector's BMW. The first owner being a businessman, the second owner a BMW collector, and me being a BMW enthusiast. Maintained perfectly, except for the rust in all the doors, and both front fenders. Engine has 153k miles, but on a recent dyno, shows it as having 181 hp, 5 less than stock, which is awesome for a 27 year old car. The interior is perfect, as the front seat were swapped by the previous owner. No tearing, and the 2-tone cardinal red and black looks great with the white car. Dash has a one-inch crack near the windsheild, which is unnoticeable. Tire tread is at about 50%, and it comes with a fifth borbet wheel as a spare under the trunk. Sound system has the stock 4 surround sound, and all speakers function, including tweeters, and it has an aftermarket radio with audio input. AC has a slow leak, and I can include a recharge with the car, but it will likely only last the summer, unless the leak is fixed. Both front seats are electric powered, but the passenger seat won't go forward or backward, needs to be taken apart, probably a jam or switch. The suspension makes some knocking noises, and I haven't been able to find the source, but since its all stock, it could use new rubber shock mounts. Computer system works, and it does not flash any check-engine lights. The car has a fuel issue about once a month, where it won't start for a minute or two, and you have to keep cranking the engine. After replacing the distributor rotor, and sparkplugs, and testing the fuel relay, I've determined the problem to be something in the fuel line, probably the filter. Engine oil and transmission fluid was changed last month, and new battery installed about 2 months ago. Car drives great, and feels great too. Like I said, the only real issue is the rust in the doors, which is why I'm putting a low reserve on this car. I would put the effort into fixing this car myself, because I was planning a future turbo setup with an m106 manifold, but I with school and work, I don't have the time to put into this car. So my loss is your gain. Email me for more pictures or info. I would prefer local pickup, or if you're in the state, we can meet halfway. No returns or refunds.

However, I would recommend a new driveshaft in the near future, as the current driveshaft "flutters" under hard acceleration in second gear. Has no effect on daily driving. Cadillac ATS-V and Mercedes-AMG C63 S pitted Head to Head
Fri, Sep 4 2015Our favorite (and only) Autoblog-alum-turned-Motor Trend staffer is back with another Head to Head video, this time pitting the Cadillac ATS-V with the Mercedes-AMG C63 S. This performance machine shootout is ostensibly a way to figure out which of these new super sedans will earn the right to go toe-to-toe with the undisputed champion of its segment, the BMW M3. In reality, it's just a really good excuse to put three of the hottest sedans on the market on video at the same time... and there's certainly nothing wrong with that. Jonny Lieberman spends time in each of the two new challengers on the road, picking apart their powertrains, chassis and driving dynamics on the kinds of twisty roads drivers of these cars will relish. Then, he hands the keys off to Randy Pobst, who sort of acts as an unmasked version of a certain tame racing driver, except that he talks and has a personality. 0-60 and quarter-mile times are equated, braking performance is measured and scores are tallied before the two sport sedans end up at Willow Springs raceway. Interestingly enough, the car that proves (just slightly) faster at the race track isn't the car that wins the comparison. Curious? We're not going to spoil it for you. Check out the video, above. Then, for more action of these two machines, check out the videos just below. E.U. executive conditionally approves Daimler, BMW car-sharing deal
Wed, Nov 7 2018BRUSSELS — The European Union's competition authority said on Wednesday it had approved the plan of German luxury carmakers Daimler and BMW to combine their car-sharing businesses, subject to conditions. Under the deal, which includes car-sharing units Car2Go and DriveNow as well as ride-hailing, parking and charging services, Daimler and BMW will each hold 50 percent stakes in a joint venture. They have offered concessions to address E.U. antitrust concerns over the deal they hope would let them better compete with U.S. rival Uber and China's Didi Chuxing. The European Commission has found the deal would raise competition concerns for free-floating car sharing services in Berlin, Cologne, Duesseldorf, Hamburg, Munich and Vienna. It said Daimler and BMW agreed to a remedy package in the six cities. "The commitments thus fully address the Commission's concerns as they will reduce the barriers to entry for competing free-floating car sharing providers," the Commission said in a statement. "Therefore the Commission concluded that the proposed transaction, as modified by the commitments, would no longer raise competition concerns. The Commission's decision is conditional upon full compliance with the commitments." Reporting by Gabriela Baczynska and Philip Blenkinsop. Related Video:
