***** ADDITIONAL Q&A**** 9/4/2014 Dear diamondsrus1, Price If you look on NADA,Edmunds, KBB or any site that gives you residual values, I am at trade in prices and below private party. There is nothing wrong with the car that I know of, the service history is current and done by BMW and DOCUMENTED as such. Reason for the price is A) I am not trying to make lots of money on it, pay it forward to the next guy B) The BMW dealership that I purchased my 2015 M3 from is in the New England area, and in Vermont the market for this kind of car is not here. People want AWD Outbacks not a 407hp V8 RWD. So the market isn't here. Truth be told my dealership doesn't really want the car because they won't be able to sell it and if they do it will probably be in inventory a while. So, i got a very low trade in. Again, I have photos that I didn't post on ebay, if there is something you want to ask or see just ask. I have 100+ photos on standby. Thanks Again for looking -Dan ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear diamondsrus1, Car has never been in an accident, the title is clear I am the second owner. It was bought used back in 2011/2012 with 8k in miles when it was traded in for a Porsche. No dints. No paint work has been done. There is 3 chips on the hood as shown in the photo and one scratch near gas tank as shown in the photo. There are fine scratches on the windshield but it can't be seen on photos and in person you have to look for it. 1st owner none smoker solo driver, myself the second owner solo driver no kids, don't smoke. No curb rash on the rims. The tires only have 2 summer seasons on them by that I mean I switch to winters in the October then back to Summer tires and these tires are on there second summer. I can't tell you the exact mileage but it can't be anymore than 6k if even that. The brakes are still factory the car currently has 31, 890 miles on it. Per BMW they indicate they do not need to be replaced. HOWEVER, the car is still under BMW maintenance till December of 2014. If you took it in they would check and if needed to be replaced they would do it only if it was within guidelines or if the oil needed to be changed. Car is stock, fully stock. It has only EVER been serviced by BMW. Last service was at 30,326 on 6/02/14. Last oil change was 26,216 on 11/08/13 by BMW. The car says when it needs to be changed and its once a year or 10000-15000 in mileage. I have the full service history, 2 Keys. Bank has the title and there is a lien on it. However, I am cash positive either by selling it myself or selling it to the dealership later this month. The last BMW I sold private party same bank. Once the bank gets the money and if its done electronically to PenFed( A credit union for Military/Government Employees of the US) title/lien release is instant. An I can have it within 24-72hrs and it would give me time to get it detailed. Again we can do it via Escrow, sign a whatever contract or whatever you would like to give you peace of mind. Attached are photos ----------------------------------------- Dear docweatherington, Iam very interested in your BMW 550i Is there any paint work on the car? Accidents? Scratches? Or Dents ? Or Any Issues With the Paint? Any Curb Rash on the Wheels? Brakes/Tires Condition? Do you have all the books and keys? Do you have service history for the car? When was the last service? Any Modifications? Do you have the title? Is there a lien on the title? |

2016 BMW 7 Series spied for the first time ever
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Ladies and gentlemen, Bimmerphiles and automotive voyeurs of all stripes: here is your next-generation BMW 7 Series. Captured in photographs for the first time ever while doing a spot of cold-weather testing in Sweden, this newly slim 7er will most likely debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015 and launch in the 2016 model year.
Sources indicate that BMW is targeting a much lighter curb weight for the 7 Series, and will use learnings gained with the i3 and i8 development to add carbon fiber-reinforced plastics in the construction. In return we'd expect the new model - which uses the internal model designation "G11" - to offer improvements in handling, acceleration and fuel economy. As with the current 7 Series lineup, expect the engine range to include turbocharged inline-six engines, one or more V8s and a V12 option.
It's fair to say that, with the car's debut still years down the road, that BMW will work to launch with an impressive suite of in-car technology, too. A completely new version of iDrive shouldn't be ruled out. These shots mark the beginning of a long journey to 2015, and we expect to have loads more information to share in the coming months and years, so stay tuned.
A closer look at the 2015 BMW M3 and M4
Fri, 17 Jan 2014It's fair to say we're going to miss the E92 BMW M3. Its high-revving V8, flame-styled looks and excellent driving character made it quite simply one of the best cars of the 2000s. Its replacements, the new M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe have a lot to live up to.
We still have a few months to wait until we can drive the new cars, but that doesn't mean we can't get excited in the meantime, learning everything we can. To find out, we sent west coast editor Michael Harley onto the Detroit Auto Show floor earlier this week to talk about the new M cars with BMW product manager Victor Leleu.
If you want a concise, but highly informative rundown of these new cars, look no further than this video. Leleu talks about the styling, weight savings and engines in a lot of detail, making this an interview M fans aren't going to want to miss. Scroll down for the full video.
Toyota Supra, Rolls-Royces, dozens of BMWs recalled for backup camera issue
Wed, Oct 9 2019Weeks after Nissan and Infiniti recalled more than 1.2 million vehicles for a potentially dangerous programming oversight in the backup camera settings, BMW has issued a recall for similar problems. The recall, which covers 257,481 vehicles, includes numerous BMWs, as well as two Rolls-Royce models, and the 2020 Toyota Supra. In total, the recall potentially affects 51 different products. This includes the 2018 BMW 540D, 2018–2019 BMW 640I, Rolls-Royce Phantom, 2018–2020 BMW 530e, 530i, 540i, M5, M550i, X3, 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, 2019–2020 BMW 330I, 740Le, 740Li, 745Le, 750Li, 840i, M340i, M850i, X4, X5, X6, X7, Z4, and 2020 Toyota Supra. On certain BMW models, xDrive variants are also included. According to NHTSA campaign No. 19V684000, "The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rearview image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse." If there is no display image when backing up, drivers can't properly see, and the car no longer meets modern safety regulations. Specifically, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors." The recall was filed on September 27, 2019, and BMW plans to begin notifying affected owners in November. BMW, Toyota, and Rolls-Royce dealers will update the vehicles' software, which should fix the problem.Â
