2002 Bmw 530i Base Sedan 4-door 3.0 - 77k Orig Miles, Orig Owner, M5 Bumper on 2040-cars
Harbor City, California, United States
Cleanest and lowest mileage E39 you may ever come across. This is a one owner (me) vehicle with 77,000 original miles. Barely broken in. Car drives silky smooth almost turbine like. Has the 3.0 liter straight six motor with Step Tronic Auto Transmission. Came with the M5 Sports Package and Premium Package. Full Spare in trunk, Basslink Bass system in trunk. 6-CD Changer. This car also sports an OEM M5 front bumper installed by dealer when I bought the car. Sweet.
Car recently received new Blower motor, water pump, alternator, hoses, & belt. This car has been absolutely trouble free since I bought her 12 years ago. I get many compliments from younger and older folks. This care was maturely driven mainly used for trips to Las Vegas & Palm Springs, thus the low mileage. Oil was changed every year since ownership with Castrol European Blend motor oil. OEM filter was always used. This car is well taken care of. There ARE NO DOOR DINGS! Door Dings are my major pet peeve so I never parked next to others if it could be avoided. It has now paid off with this pristine body car. Notice the matching Michelin Primacy Pilot tires. This car got only the Best treatment. This is the last of the Great Big Beamers that gave BMW its status. This is the highest rated car ever by Consumer Reports. If you want a car that will forever hold its beauty, this one is it. I hate to sell her, but I do not want her to be out in the cold as she was always garaged. |

BMW offering Track Handling Package for 2 Series
Thu, 17 Apr 2014After getting a chance to drive the BMW M235i earlier this year, we mentioned our regret at not being able to sample the lighter and less powerful 228i Coupe. We'd like to have seen how close the latter could get to the former, noting that "there's a lot of room for upgrades with the $11,000 retail difference." BMW is closing that performance gap slightly, announcing that a Track Handling Package will join the options sheet for the 2015 228i Coupe.
The group bolts on Variable Sport Steering, Adaptive M Suspension and M Sport Brakes behind new 18-inch lightweight wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. There's no change to the 240-horsepower four-cylinder, but a coupe so equipped should be able to do plenty more with the horses it has thanks to a faster steering rack, sharper handling due to additional sensors and a ten-millimeter drop in ride height, and larger brakes and discs.
BMW has used the New York Auto Show as a venue to introduce the new Track Handling Package, and it will roll onto showroom floors in July and pricing will be announced sometime between now and then. Takers can get it with both the six-speed manual and eight-speed Sport Automatic, see it in the high-res image gallery above, and read about it in the press release below.
Audi tops BMW and Mercedes in luxury sales
Tue, May 12 2015April was a good month for Audi, as the four-ring automaker beat out both Mercedes-Benz and BMW in sales. Bloomberg reports that it was America's appetite for CUVs like the Q5 and ancient Q7 that helped Audi move nearly 153,000 units around the globe. It's not all good news, though. Audi's worldwide sales only jumped by 2.5 percent, compared to BMW and Mercedes, whose sales increased 5.6 and 11 percent, respectively. On top of that, BMW is still the best-selling brand (of the three, anyway) so far in 2015, outselling Audi by roughly 9,000 units and Mercedes by about 23,000 vehicles. Considering the faster growth of its rivals, it's unclear if Audi will be able to hang onto the monthly sales crown beyond April, or if BMW will continue its reign as the world's biggest luxury automaker.
