2000 BMW E39 540I WAGON WITH ORIGINAL
32000 DOCUMENTED MILES
VF ENGINEERING SUPERCHARGED.
KW VERSION I COIL OVERS.
17 X 10's ESM BBS MESH STYLE WHEELS.
THIS E39 WAGON WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED FROM CAMELBACK BMW IN PHENIX ARIZONA THEN MOVED TO CALIFORNIA AND STAYED
INDOORS MOST ITS LIFE
I PURCHASED THE WAGON WITH 29K MILES FROM THE SECOND OWNER, THIS IS THE MOST COMPLETE AND ORIGINAL E39's THAT I
EVER HAD SEEN , IT ORIGINALLY CAME WITH EXECUTIVE M5 PACKAGE FULLY LOADED.
ALL OPTIONS AND COMPONENTS WORK AND THE WAGON LOOKS LIKE IT JUST CAME OUT OF SHOWROOM FROM EXTERIOR PAINT TO
SPOTLESS INTERIOR AND WOOD TRIM THAT BLINDS YOU AND WINDOW RETRACTABLE SHADES IN IMPECCABLE SHAPE.
I AM A VERY DETAILED ORIENTED PERSON AND WHEN I SAW THE WAGON FOR THE FIRST TIME I COULD NOT BELIVE SUCH A
IMMACULATE CAR CAN STILL EXIST, THERE IS NOT EVEN A SPECKLE OF DIRT OR DUST ANYWHERE EVEN INSIDE THE DOOR JAMES. I
TRIED VERY HARD TO FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE WAGON, FOR HOURS I INSPECTED THE WAGON FROM ENGINE TO TRIM AND
DRIVABILITY I COULD NOT FIND EVEN ONE THING WRONG OR SLIGHTLY NOTICEABLE.
SINCE I ALWAYS LIKED THE E39 WAGONS BUT AT THE SAME TIME DONT MIND TO PISS OFF A CORVETTE, I INSTALLED A VF
ENGINEERING SUPERCHARGER KIT TO DO JUST THAT , I GOT TO TELL YOU THAT FEELS GOOD !!!!!
ALSO ADDED A KW VERSION I ADJUSTABLE COIL OVERS FOR AWSOME HANDLING AND RIDE COMFORT.
WHILE I WAS ADDING THE SUPERCHARGER KIT I REPLACED THE RADIATOR COMPLETE AND THERMOSTAT HOUSING SINCE THESE ARE THE
WEAK LINKS ON THE E39's AND I WANTED DOES ISSUES BE TAKEN CARE OF AT THE SAME TIME.
ALL ORIGINAL SUSPENSION COMPONENTS WILL BE INCLUDED IN SALE AS WELL AS THE OEM AIR INTAKE COMPONENTS THAT WAS
REPLACED WITH THE SUPERCHARGER.
THE SUPERCHARGER ACTUALLY MADE THE WAGON MORE FUEL EFFICIENT AND NOW I AM GETTING ABOUT 26 MPG IN OPEN ROAD AND
FULL TANK TAKES ME OVER 450 MILES.
THESE ARE THE LAST OF TRUE GERMAN MADE BMW'S AND YOU CAN TELL BY LOOKING AT IT AND DRIVING IT WITH QUALITY
COMPONENTS AND LASTING DRIVE LINE BUILD TO DRIVE, I ALSO HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE THAT COST OVER
$65000.00 AT THE TIME IT WAS SOLD IN 2000 OVER 15 YEARS AGO AND THIS WAGON STILL LOOKS AND DRIVES LIKE IT CAME OUT
OF THE SHOWROOM.
THE ONLY BODY BLEMISH IS SHOWEN IN THE PICTURE ON LOWER DRIVER SIDE BUMPER COVER NEXT TO FOG LIGHT THAT WAS A CURB
RASH WITH SOME SKRATCH MARKS ON THE LOWER FRONT SPOILER SINCE THE CAR IS LOWERED AND YOU HAVE TO WATCH CURBS AND
DRIVE WAY BUT IT CAN BE EASELY RAISED BACKUP IF DESIRED.
AND YES THE HEADLIGHTS ARE CUSTOM MADE WITH AMBER TINTED HI BEAMS AND FOG LIGHTS AND OPEN LENS.
THERE IS MORE TO THIS WAGON THAT WHAT I CAN WRITE UP IN THIS LISTING YOU HAVE TO SEE IT IN PERSON TO BELIEVE AND
GET MIND BLOWEN OF ITS STANCE AND ROW POWER.
I AM A SEASONED OLDER BMW COLLECTOR AND HAVE AND HAD SEVERAL UNIQUE CARS, I AM NOT INTERESTED ON TRADES AND WILL
APPRECIATE SERIOUS AND INFORMED BUYERS , THIS IS A VERY UNIQE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A TIME PIECE AND I WILL RESPECT
AND ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS TO BEST OF KNOWLEDGE .

All the crazy stuff we saw at McCall's Motorworks Revival
Thu, Aug 18 2016Every year, Gordon McCall puts on a lavish event packed with rare cars and planes (and the type of people that can afford rare cars and planes). And every year, more ridiculous stuff shows up. It's the good kind of machine overload. It's likely the only place in the world where you'll see a line of BMW 3.0s next to some Paganis next to a Porsche 911 by Singer Design next to a Ferrari salt racer next to a custom Olds Riviera next to the latest from Koenigsegg next to he coolest stuff Shelby ever made next to a hangar filled with McLarens, including a few P1 GTRs. And then all of that is surrounded by private jets, fighters, and planes that could have flown in directly from WWII. In a word, it's insane. Walk through the gallery above to get a taste for what was there this year for the event's 25th anniversary. Two rare Alpina BMWs given the Petrolicious treatment
Tue, 22 Jan 2013Alpina is getting more and more ink because of because of that rolling cannonade known as the B7 and its closer ties with BMW. The company's tuning business dates to 1962 when Burkard Bovensiepen began fiddling with Weber carburetors, then his company began racing in 1968 and was eventually certified as an automaker in 1983.
Two of its rarer specimens from those early years have gotten a glance from the folks at Petrolicious: the E24 B10 and E24 B7S. Based on the BMW 6 Series, the Alpina versions made one of the most special coupes from the Eighties even more so. According to the video, there were only 44 B10s made, and the turbocharged, 333-horsepower B7S - this was in a luxury coupe in 1982, mind you - saw only 33 examples produced.
You won't be sorry to find out more about them - and see how they run - in the Petrolicious video below.
2013 BMW M3 Coupe Lime Rock Park Edition
Thu, 25 Jul 2013Sic Transit Gloria
I like difficult cars. I like turbo "moments," dramatic weight distribution, low-grip, peaky power delivery, and overly quick steering, along with ultra-short wheelbases and any number of other non-racecar-perfect dynamic foibles. I love the newest generation of BMW cars and engines - all turbo'd up with tons of torque and power everywhere in the rev range, too. But what I think the enthusiast community will miss when this 2013 M3 Coupe becomes the 2014 M4 Coupe - replacing its idiosyncratic, small-displacement, revvy V8 for something like a triple-turbo, directly injected, inline six-cylinder powerhouse in the process - is the work it takes to drive the car fast and perfectly. Sometimes small flaws just make things better; my mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun, and all that.
The idea of this E92 M3 going away then, magnified by the loss of the M3 badge for the coupe, is at best bittersweet for me. This generation of M car is already surpassed in terms of raw thrills by the better-than-ever Mercedes-Benz C63, a car that doesn't ask its driver to sacrifice low-end grunt or the very latest in amenities in return for stellar backroad performance. Yet any time I've been lucky enough to lap a track in the M3, it has quickly become clear that the Bimmer is the better on-edge tool. With the freedom to wring the neck of the 4.0-liter V8 and room to exercise the lovely balance of the car, the E92 is hard to match (even six years after its debut).
