For sale today is a 1999 BMW 540i with a production date of 10/98. This is not any ordinary 5-Series BMW by any means. This Bimmer has been rebuilt to exceed most expectations. Known to most as the ultimate driving machine, for reasons you only can experience for yourself. When I gained possession of this black beauty I knew there was only one thing to do and that was to bring it back to show room quality. Including going as far as customizing the head covers, upper left and right timing cover cases with a 3 step prepping, priming and paint process. That can with stand up to 500 Degrees. The chassis of this vehicle is well balanced and built for a very comfortable and relaxing ride. Equipped front and back with the 18 inch M5 double spoke chrome rims that are wrapped with brand new Venezia Crusade Hp tires (245/40Z R18) that still have the nipples attached.
The body is 100% straight and shines like black onyx.
The interior has been cleaned to complete perfection. With not one stain on the original BMW floor mats or carpets. The vehicle has been given the triple black effect on the inside. 6 disk CD changer, Navigation system, front dual cup holders and many other incentives and options. The interior of this vehicle has been very well taken care of. The seats are completely maneuverable and are very soft and comfortable. Matching wood grain all the way around the interior. Has the M5 Compact steering wheel as well for easier grip and handling. The shifting is either full Automatic and or Sport Mode. With the option of STEP-Tronic 5-SPEED manual shifting.
The engine was replaced with one with less than 80k but since it was out the car we replaced the rear main seal and all the gaskets even though it was not necessary. All the timing components were also replaced and the covers were sealed with a special solution to guarantee they would not leak again. In fact the engine was completely dissembled and the valves reseated for maximum compression. Now the engine is super smooth. Head gaskets were replaced with Brand new VICTOR REINZ gaskets as well as the rest. Not one second was rushed on this entire project, to ensure that everything fit perfectly. I have pictures to prove what you have read.
Ice Cold AC.

Weekly Recap: Mercedes continues the pseudo-coupe craze with AMG-tuned CUV
Sat, Dec 13 2014But as BMW's X6 has demonstrated, sport sells in in the crossover segment, and Mercedes is giving the people what they want. BMW proved there is a market for crossover utility vehicles designed to look like coupes – as much as a vehicle with four doors and noticeable ground clearance can look like a coupe, anyway. Now comes the reply from Mercedes-Benz: the GLE Coupe. The rakish crossover is a harbinger of things to come from Mercedes, as it begins the company's transition to a new nomenclature and marks the debut of the AMG Sport line. It also continues the recent coupe craze. Designers from many automakers, like Nissan and Volkswagen, have increasingly turned to swoopy, dramatic styling to make utility vehicles and sedans seem more desirable. By revealing the GLE 450 AMG Sport model first, Mercedes is clearly hoping to cast the GLE Coupe as a sportier, lifestyle-oriented alternative in its lineup of beefy crossovers and SUVs. Mercedes used the word "sport," or a variation of it, 53 times in its press release, so uh yeah, it's sporty. It's not an empty promise: Benz means business with the AMG Sport line. This GLE Coupe gets a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 rated at 362 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque paired with Mercedes' new nine-speed automatic transmission, and it runs with 4Matic all-wheel drive. Specs on the other GLE Coupe models were not disclosed. But as BMW's X6 has demonstrated, sport sells in in the crossover segment, and Mercedes is giving the people what they want. After all, more than 260,000 people have bought X6s since 2008, and Mercedes wants a piece of that. From certain angles, the GLE Coupe even looks vaguely like an X6. "This is really a vehicle that is all about status," said Dave Sullivan, product analysis manager for research firm AutoPacific. "You can buy a SUV that doesn't have the inherent qualities of a SUV, such as cargo hauling. People will likely be drawn to the looks. Coupes are all the rage." BMW, however, isn't running from the fight, and the updated 2015 X6 is arriving in showrooms this month. It also added a smaller sibling, the X4, to its coupe-crossover stable in July. The GLE Coupe arrives next year, though Mercedes hasn't specified exactly when it will hit showrooms from the factory in Alabama, or specified details on the rest of the non-AMG Sport models. In 2008, it was surprising the X6 was a hit. In 2015, it will be even more surprising if the GLE Coupe isn't.
2015 BMW M4 Convertible will give the best bad hair days
Wed, 16 Apr 2014BMW officially unveiled the 2015 M4 Convertible at the Javits Center in New York this morning. The droptop, which will slot in next to the M4 Coupe in BMW's performance line, offers infinitely more headroom, fresh air and sunshine for those that want a little more great outdoors and tousled hair with their M experience.
Visually, the M4 convertible is similar to the coupe, and carries on the hardtop's athletic stance with a long wheelbase, short front overhang, aerodynamic mirrors and in the case of this showcar, optional yellow-painted brake calipers. The car's expressive, angry face is perhaps the most notable aspect of its styling, screaming "get the hell out of my way!" with its signature twin-bar kidney grille, trio of air intakes and squinty LED headlights. Inside, the convertible employs three-temperature neck warmers (for chilly top-down days), an absurd amount of "M" logos and a wealth of luxury and technology features.
The rear-wheel-drive convertible uses the same engine as the coupe: a high-revving, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six producing 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission. BMW says the car can make a 0-60 sprint in just 4.4 seconds when equipped with the manual.
Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown
Fri, 10 Jan 2014You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."
