This BMW 530xi is the all-around Ultimate Driving Machine. Room for 5 and ample cargo capacity. Great for hauling the family and all your gear. All Wheel Drive is great on wet or snow covered roads. Heated Seats Front and Rear.
Overall, this BMW is in great condition. Beige Leather Interior is Excellent with no damage anywhere. Exterior is in very good condition with normal road wear. Few minor scratches and minor dings. Nothing glaring or major.
Car has had Extended Warranty up until 15 months ago. All maintenance has been kept up to date at the BMW Dealer. I have installed new Brakes and Rotors, Spark Plugs and All-Season Tires (8k miles).
BMW installed new water pump/thermostat last year. Car is running great with no problems. Engine is so smooth and powerful. Great fuel mileage of 18/28. I get 24mpg mixed driving.
IDrive Computer is very easy to use. Displays Entertainment, Car Data, All Settings, Service due alerts/problems, Blue Tooth Hands-Free phone connectivity, Contact list.
This is by far the best and most enjoyable car I have ever driven! Satellite Radio included!

Toyota GT86 engineers explored shooting brake and sedan variants, are they still in the cards?
Wed, 13 Mar 2013According to the Toyota UK blog, engineers for the automaker were so excited developing the GT86 coupe that they investigated producing a whole family of models based on the rear-wheel drive sports car. And at least one engineer - product chief Tetsuya Tada - still hopes it can happen, even if not everyone at Toyota is onboard. Tada: "Actually we tried to do this secretly but the executives found us out. They said: 'What are you doing? Will you please focus on the coupe.'"
Those mooted variants included both a four-door sedan and a shooting brake. Why? Aside from the pure excellence of a lightweight, brilliantly handling hatchback, Toyota was keenly aware of the fact that it may need to spread the cost of development out across several models. Tada says that's part of the reason why it was so easy to create the convertible. The company knew from the outset that a softtop version was in the cards, and built the machine's structure to accommodate having the roof sliced off.
Tada also made mention of the already-announced collaboration between Toyota and BMW. The engineer said that the GT86 was particularly helpful because it demonstrated just how successful a product conceived and designed by two different companies can be. BMW Active Tourer to hit US showrooms in 2015
Tue, 26 Nov 2013It's been over a year since BMW unveiled the Concept Active Tourer at the Paris Motor Show, and another four months since it brought the concept back in Outdoor guise (pictured above). Now word has it that the Bavarian automaker is putting it into production.
Although production specs and dimensions have yet to be revealed, the Concept Active Tourer came in a bit smaller than the existing BMW X1. The production version is expected to be based on the same platform that underpins the new Mini hatchback revealed last week in LA, meaning that it will be predominantly front-drive, but an all-wheel-drive version could follow.
There will also be a longer version with a third row of seats, forming part of a new generation of front-drive BMWs to take on the likes of the Audi A1 and Mercedes-Benz A-Class family, of which the GLA will be the Active Tourer's most direct rival. Expect the Active Tourer to arrive in 2015 with a new front-drive sedan to follow in 2017 aimed particularly at the North American and Chinese markets.
BMW wants world drifting record back in US
Sat, 23 Mar 2013BMW just can't stand the thought of the world record for the longest drift winding up in the hands of someone else. The German automaker is set to take a crack at setting a new record by blowing the old one straight out of the water. A driver in China holds the current title after kicking a car sideways for a full 3.6 miles. Now, on May 11, BMW Performance Driving Instructor Johan Schwartz will attempt to pitch a BMW M5 sideways for some 40 miles as part of a stunt to raise funds for the BMW Pro-Am Charity.
We've had the distinct pleasure of riding with the instructors at the BMW facility in South Carolina, and we can tell you that if anyone can keep an M5 at full tilt for 40 miles, it's these guys. BMW has released a teaser video to drum up attention for the stunt. You can catch it below.
