Thank you for looking at my 2007 550i

This car is very well taken care of. It has always been garage kept in my care. This car is equiped with everything to include H.U.D., not many M5's have this feature.

List of items the car will need:

Two front tires. They still have tread but will need to be replaced soon.

Passenger side seat belt indicator goes off sometimes. To avoid repairing, I just buckle the passenger side seat belt.

Modifications:

AFE Air intake system

Throttle body spacer

Sprint booster - 3 stages econ (no color)/race (green)/drag (red)

drilled/slotted brakes

smoked LED rear tail lights

new rear michelin tires

ALL MODIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED BY A LICENSED BMW DEALER!!

I also have performance coil packs that I have not installed, all original parts that have been swapped out and a oil extractor (top mount) for oil changes. No need to crawl under the car. This car is faster than a stock 550i. besides the few things I listed earlier, the car just need a new owner that will take care of it as I have. If you would like to research these items I have installed on the car please go to bavauto.com to verify these items.

I will be out of town friday and saturday and will return late sunday night. If you send me a message I will try my best to answer questions once I return.

Hamann BMW M6 Mirror can now cash the checks its body writes

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Anyone remember the Hamann Mirror? Need a refresher? The Mirror is German tuning company Hamann's idea of a BMW M6. It was shown at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show as an M6 Gran Coupe, sporting a ridiculous paint job and some meaty, multi-spoke 21-inch wheels.
Consider this car the Mirror Mark 2. Based on the M6 Coupe, Hamann has applied a similar visual theme, using the same 21-inch wheels from 2013. Whereas the Gran Coupe rode around with a stock powertrain, though, there's been no such restraint with the two-door Mirror. A fine 620 horsepower is available from the 4.4-liter, biturbocharged V8, an increase of 60 horsepower. Torque is up as well, from 501 pound-feet to a whopping 560, meaning this M6 has speed to match its looks. Hamann claims the Mirror's newfound grunt allows it to hit 62 miles per hour faster than the standard M6 (we'd certainly hope so), although it won't mention a specific number.
The suspension, meanwhile, has been dropped 1.37 inches, or about a third of an inch lower than the Frankfurt Mirror. That drop is complemented by the Mirror's bodywork, including the exposed, carbon fiber hood and the flared fenders, which can now accommodate the enormous 305/25 rear rubber. Hamann has also paid some attention to the front and rear aerodynamics.

BMW performance engineering boss wants an M7

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Audi has the S8, Mercedes has the S63 AMG and Jaguar has the XJR, but BMW has always held that an M7 wasn't justified, leaving its associated Alpina line to tackle that market with the B7 (pictured). The chief engineer at the M division, however, feels otherwise.
Speaking to Autocar, the BMW M development chief Albert Biermann indicated that he would like to see the M division do a performance version of the 7 Series to compete with the above-mentioned models, but that there are no current plans in place to do so. Neither did he specify what kind of engine it would have, or if it would be badged, for that matter, as an M7 or an M Performance model.
The latter is the approach which the M division is reportedly taking with performance versions of BMW crossovers beyond the X5 M and X6 M, such as the X3 and upcoming X4. The division is also said to be developing a performance-tuned xDrive system to compete with AMG's new all-wheel-drive models, as well as a potential M3 GT to join the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe with a slantback bodystyle.

Behind the scenes of BMW's 'Driftmob' [w/videos]

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

All this, for one minute and 47 seconds of action-packed footage with no official plot.
We arrive in Cape Town, South Africa, on the third and final practice day for the drivers of a BMWStories internet video called The Epic Driftmob feat. BMW M235i. We are immediately whisked to a large, empty parking lot on the outskirts of Cape Town, where tires are squealing and chunks of rubber are flying as five red BMW M235i coupes churn up more smoke than a California wildfire. And the smell - it smells like heated metal, the kind of thing rev limiters are made for. Times five.
