You’re viewing a 2004 BMW 545i (E60), “DINAN 5” with a DINAN S3 Signature Package, DINAN Serial Number S04049. This is a legit “DINAN 5” BMW. The vehicle is Titanium Silver (054) over Dakota gray leather, and it currently has 115,000 miles. The vehicle will have a little more miles on the car as I need to drive to work this week, but nothing more than 200 – 500 miles.  The DINAN S3 Signature Package ($3,500+ MSRP) includes the following options (prices are from DINAN’s website)

-          DINAN Stage 3 Performance Engine Software for BMW 545i ($699.00)

-          DINAN Free Flow Exhaust for BMW 545i ($1,099.00)

-          DINAN High Flow Intake System for BMW 545i ($899.00)

-          DINAN High Flow Throttle Body ($949.00)

-          DINAN Carbon Fiber Front Strut Tower Braces ($499.00)

-          DINAN Pedal Covers ($199.00)

There is a significant difference in speed and power between this vehicle and a regular 545i, I’ve driven both. This 545i also includes the following options: Automatic  Steptronic (6-speed) Transmission, Sport Package (ZSP) – sport seats, sport suspension, shadowline window trim, Cold Weather Package (ZCW) – heated front seats, heated steering wheel, headlight washers, trunk ski bag, Premium Sound System (ZPS) – Logic7 with 6 disc CD changer, and Adaptive Bi-Xenon headlights (522)

Other options include – power front seats with two memory settings, power windows with 3M window tint, power moonroof, and active steering. Black All-Weather BMW floor mats. I also put “dust-free” brake pads on the car not too long ago as well.

Books and records – I have the owners manual, leather binder, and all of the other books/manuals that came with the car. I have two main keys as well.

Service – I just had two open campaigns/recalls taken care of recently at Global Imports here in Atlanta. All service is up to date, you will need to have the oil changed at 120,000 miles. I’ve always used the recommended Castrol Synthetic Oil and have receipts as well.

Tires – the front tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 245/40 ZR18 93Y M+S, and the rear tires are also Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 275/35 ZR18 95Y M+S. The tires have 60% - 80% life left on them.

I’m a former professional detailer and I’ve owned the car for three and a half years. I’m a non-smoker and have taken great care of it. I really hate to sell it but my current job responsibilities have changed and it requires me to drive all over the Southeast US, which I just can’t do or want to do in this car. The car overall is in really good shape, although it is ten years old and has usual wear and tear. The interior is in very good condition, I rarely had anyone in the back seat so it looks brand new, and the front seats look good as well. There is some wear on the steering wheel, no holes or anything, but there’s definitely no need to have it repaired or replaced.

The vehicle is ready to go and has a ton of life left on it, again I hate that I’m selling this because it’s a great car. I will have the car fully detailed, already done, for the new owner as well. I have the vehicle for sale locally here in Atlanta, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. For any out of state buyers, I’m happy to assist with shipping or will be happy to pick someone up at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. A $500 deposit through Paypal is due within 24 hours of auction end, and full payment is due within 5 business days, no exceptions and no games. I will only accept cashiers check or wire transfer. If you're financing the vehicle please make sure your financing is secured before bidding. I’m selling the vehicle As-Is, with no warranty. I’m happy to work with the new owner through a bank or lending institution, mine or yours, if so desired. Title is currently with my lender, Delta Community Credit Union, but I can have it in hand in no time. Feel free to ask me any questions. Thank you for viewing.

Alpina bringing new B4 Bi-Turbo Cabrio to Geneva

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

Interested in picking up a new BMW 4 Series with a turbo six? You've got options: you can get the 435i with 300 horsepower or spring for the M4 with 425 hp. But if it's the convertible model you want, we're afraid you'll be limited to the latter as the M division can't help you (at least not for the time being). But that's where Alpina comes in.
The aftermarket tuner closely associated with BMW offers the B4 Bi-Turbo (at least in Europe) with that same 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six massaged up to 410 horsepower that starts to pose a threat to the M4. What's more is that the Alpina's 442 pound-feet of torque eclipses the M4's 406 lb-ft, to say nothing of the 435i's 300.
Best of all, Alpina just confirmed via Facebook that it'll offer the B4 in convertible form, bringing the resulting BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Cabrio to the Geneva Motor Show. We'd expect the weight penalty to knock it slightly off the coupe's quoted 4.1-second 0-60 time, but not by much. If only BMW were to bring this one Stateside like it does with the B7 sedan.

BMW performance engineering boss wants an M7

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Audi has the S8, Mercedes has the S63 AMG and Jaguar has the XJR, but BMW has always held that an M7 wasn't justified, leaving its associated Alpina line to tackle that market with the B7 (pictured). The chief engineer at the M division, however, feels otherwise.
Speaking to Autocar, the BMW M development chief Albert Biermann indicated that he would like to see the M division do a performance version of the 7 Series to compete with the above-mentioned models, but that there are no current plans in place to do so. Neither did he specify what kind of engine it would have, or if it would be badged, for that matter, as an M7 or an M Performance model.
The latter is the approach which the M division is reportedly taking with performance versions of BMW crossovers beyond the X5 M and X6 M, such as the X3 and upcoming X4. The division is also said to be developing a performance-tuned xDrive system to compete with AMG's new all-wheel-drive models, as well as a potential M3 GT to join the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe with a slantback bodystyle.

BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage evokes classic 1970s Bimmer design

Fri, May 22 2015

BMW enjoys taking advantage of the annual Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este as an opportunity to re-imagine some of company's vintage shapes in modern ways with concepts like the M1 Hommage, 328 Hommage, Concept 90 motorcycle, and even last year's Mini Superleggera. This year's event on the shores of Lake Como is no different, and the Bavarian brand is celebrating one of its great sports coupes from the 1970s with the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage. Bathed in a shade called Golf Yellow that perfectly evokes the era of the original, the Hommage's design seems to incorporate a few cues from the current 6 Series into the classic look of the 3.0 CSL. However, the front end is actually a little ungainly to our eyes due to the massive grille, and the fenders that fold up over the hood. The laser headlights are a great touch because their X-shaped centers are inspired by old racecars. The design improves significantly in profile and really starts to show the inspiration from the original 3.0 CSL. This concept has some beautiful rear haunches, and the big, creased fenders lead the eye to the massive rear wing. The back end also maintains much of the vintage design, including the roof spoiler, but the shape gets modern touches. So while the source of this inspiration was a bit angular, the lines have been gently curved for the Hommage. Of course, a CSL must be lightweight, as signified by the last letter in its name. Where the original uses aluminum and Plexiglas to shed pounds, the Hommage uses carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic parts throughout the body. The interior is also made from CFRP, and occupants sit in quilted racing buckets. An especially cool touch is the V-shaped cross-member at the back that evokes the look of a roll cage, while being a bit more artistic. The only indication that BMW is giving about the 3.0 CSL Hommage's powertrain is that it uses an inline six with eBoost, but as a concept the engine doesn't really matter, anyway. Get a good look at the whole design in the gallery above. BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage. Racing flair with a touch of class. Munich/Cernobbio. Amid the audacious design studies and automotive beauties from a bygone era gathered at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, the BMW Group presents its new BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage – and in the process makes a pretty formidable statement of its own. This model is the BMW Design Team's tribute to the 3.0 CSL, a timeless classic and iconic BMW Coupe from the 1970s.
